also sorry i looked angry for some of it, some guy was driving so close to my car and was making me so mad lol
You weren’t angry hun! Lookin great
even angry you look beautiful. Brady is very lucky to have such an involved and talented partner.
It's just method acting. Patrick Stewart would be proud.
@@stevenfries7032 thank you so much Steven!!
@@NewLayer Hahahaha thank you man
Love your lighting techniques! So helpful for the low budget little guy out there. I have just a small videography business and often can’t afford the latest greatest...especially in lighting. Thanks for all the tips and creative ideas.
that's the goal! thank you so much, happy shooting!
ITs very very good Idea..and thanks for sharing your IDEA..
When struggling with lighting, do not fear,
Because when we needed him, Brady Bessette was here!
this is amazing hahahah🖤
Ahahahah this is the best. THANK YOU
Dude . Watch mine
I’m a very safe driver, it’s under special skills on my resume ;) i loved making this video and creating this look with ya! can’t wait to see you guys recreate it!
You’re the best super fan I have!
you must be a valued customer at aputure for having so many of these lights lol! anyway ingenious idea!
hahah lol hopefully!
The rig and light setup is genius 👌🏻 nice work by the two of you 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you sooo much
well that’s a creative solution and alternative to the “fake drive“
I tried! Thank you!
UA-cam didn't suggest this video to me despite being subbed....lame. That out of the way, love this one buddy. I love the sidus link setup. I really ought to pick up the kit. In terms of safety and taking this to the next level, you can use suction cups with a cheese plate (like the 9.Solutions) and then friction arms. Alternatively, just mount one speed rail along the roofline of the car with 3-4 suction cups and clamps. Dammit, now you made me want to do this....
hey all that matters is you're here now! lol. thank you
Are you never gonna go out of ideas?????? :P Awesome bro, as always!!!
Never ever ever
This is basically how they shot the driving scenes in Drive
YEAH! Ive seen that, so cool
Hahaha, watching you play peek-a-boo with your MCs made me laugh. And the setup here is super slick and looks great too!
let's be real, we both play with lights like this lol. Hey JT!
@@BradyBessette Now I feel 💫 exposed 💫
Cool video man, very helpful :). I have just one of those lights maybe I should get a few more haha !!
Hahah never too many lights!! thank you !
What an insanely creative way to use the MCs. Awesome video dude 🙂
hey Ed!!!!! Trying to be as creative as you!!
The timeline in the app is acting a little weird for me, are there any tutorials for this
*slaps roof of car*
"This baby can hold so many lights."
I genuinely laughed out loud, thanks Jon
This rig for the MCs is actually one of the coolest ideas fo lighting that I've veer seen! Just a FANTASTIC idea. Nice job, man, really!
Brady coming in clutch, or I guess I should say, Sara is coming in clutch..haha Thanks for another extremely helpful video.
Hahaha 🖤
hahah hey Man! thank you
Thanks, Hozier Kroeger. (Hozier + Nickelback lead singer) I’m jk but I love your quality of videos. It’s great.
Has anyone ever commented that you sound and look a bit like Asmongold?
safe to say this is a first
Oh boy! That is $800 worth of MCs. Lol!
so many fun lights!
I enjoy your videos so much. From South Africa
Thank you very much!!
Really an good idea, I'm impressed....
Thank you so much
Not really a budget but I believe the astera tubes have an effect like this
i believe so as well. They are more common now
Pls sir Make a video on how to keep subject in focus shooting a music video pls love from india🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Hi thank you! On my list! :)
A wireless follow focus and a focus Puller bro .
Hey, ya know what would be helpful? Giving us the timing as it relates to your different car speeds. Give us the helpful details.
Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for
Damn, good DIY ✊respect!!!
thank you so much
Btw I prefer that warm background practical over that blueish
Hey thank you!!
geart video thanks for this trick
Thank you so much
thanks for sharing amazing video
Glad you liked it
this scene and the girl look so much like the olivia rodringo a driver license song scene
You should see her sing it! It’s on her page! Filmed by me :)
I cover it on my channel 😛🖤
^ #Goals
@@MikeMatsuiJr thank you Mike!!
Brady, what if I want to film certain parts of the car but from the outside? Like the wheel moving or a front view of the driver? How can I stuck the camera and also stabilize it?
I’m gonna use practical stuff that may not be the most professional. Try duct tape
Hey bro your videos are just awesome can you make a video about a filmmaking kit which includes BMPCC 6K Pro with cheap and best anamorphic lens kit and all accessories I'm searching for this combination of kit for some time
love the idea, let me try and get the pro first!
Tq bro
duded! this is great :) ...
Glad you liked it
you can still program the lights in sequence with the app even if you buy 2-3 individually rather than purchasing the whole kit, yeah?
Thank you very much Brady and Sarah for the golden info
Thank YOU
Aw thanks for thanking us!
@@SaraAnn No thanks on the duty
Awesome dude! MCs are freaking rad!
hey sir!!! Thanks for swinging by. They're sweet for sure
The lighting god named after Thor, It is so enjoyable to watch The way you are playing with lights and coming up with great frame
Ahaha thank you!!
YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!!
Thank you!!!
Man, you freaking NAILED it as always! Love how it all came together in the end!
yeah but wanna talk about YOUR stuff lately?!
That is way cool. Great idea. I would give you two thumbs up but they only give me one
Your videos are so damn good!
thank you tons!!
First to watch/comment
Thank you!
Α low budget scene of this type cannot possibly have any actual action. Replacing it with an interior is cheaper and removing it entirely is even better. Not writing it in the first place is ideal.
What was it like being the lead singer of Nickelback?
This is soo cool how the final shot turned out. These are seriously Hollywood standard shots on budget 😍 love it so much!
ah thank you so much!!
do you have a step-by-step tutorial of how to get hat street light effect with the Aperture MCs?
I am the 4444 views
think you can do it again on my next video? ;)
Yeah maybe
WoW genius 😍👏👏👏👏
thank you!!
Love my Aputure MC! now I feel like I need 11 more though 😅 that rig was quality! inspired to mess around with the sidus link app more now for sure.
hey dude! you should get 30 more. theyre fun. jk save money. lol happy shooting sir!
I don´t know what to buy first, if the car or the lights 😢
Nice tut Brady 👏
definitely the lights ;)
Niiiiiice dude! That rig looked super solid. It's crazy what those little MC's can do!
my guuuy! Thank you for swinging by! i love them
Wow! That's so cool :D
thanks a ton!
This is genius, I love seeing your creative innovation at work!
Thank you very much!
You are a legend
Thank you so much
Genius!
hey thank you!!
brilliant as always!
thank you so much!
You're awesome
no you!
you are something else fr, i wish i was in Vermont so that i could attend "the class" in person.
come on out!!! (JK there's a pandemic so plz don't) but THANK YOU
Thx the idea!
Any time
Prep and trial and error really is the only way to figure some of this stuff out sometimes. Turned out looking great though!
agreed! thank you
0:40 The people on the set of Rust missed the memo
Cool 😎👍👍👍
thank you!!
With such convincing lighting, couldn't you almost put a projector or a big TV outside the window, and film it with the car stationary?
I have thought about that actually!! Wasn’t sure
Did a similar scene while car is standing in front of a blue screen. Just rotated a daylight lamp for the street lamps. Another red lamp for break lights. Background in post.
thought about that as well! I'm sure it came out sweet
Awesome video Brady! This small nuances in lighting make all the difference. I'm in Vermont, would be up for a collaboration when the weather gets warmer. Keep rippin' it!
Hey Brett!! Thank you so much. Where in Vermont
@@BradyBessette Fore sure... I'm in the Rutland area but like filming up north around Groton, Montpelier, and Stowe.
Headed to Stowe today I think!
@@BradyBessette Sweet! Send me a DM on Instagram @dronepilotpro and we can plan something cool.
This is superb.
thank you so much
Sarah and Brady. I hope your content is translated into Arabic because my foreign language is weak and I do not want me to miss any of your golden information.
thank you SOO much. Let me look into how that would work
Professor Brady did you have the white balance of the camera set to daylight when you shot this scene?
I assumed so as the 'streetlights' are at around 2000k and the blue light, which you placed on the speedometer, is at 6500k. Therefore according to my very limited self learned cinematography knowledge, I'd assume that you'd set the white balance at around 5500K to get the contrast between the warm and the cool light.
Am I right professor? Apologies in advance if it's a dumb Q!
Keep up the fantastic work!
I believe I had camera WB at 4000 and the streets were HSI at like 30 hue. White lights were 6500k
@@BradyBessetteForgive me but I don't know what HSI stands for professor! So if the WB was at 4000 am I right to assume that warmer colors would appear less warm as opposed to having the WB at daylight.
Professor Brady I tend to leave the WB at daylight 99% of the time because it seems to be the best color representation of what my eyes actually see. Is this a wrong approach?
I once tested out my only cam, a SONY a6500 on a candle lit scene. I noticed that when I set the WB to daylight, the colors picked up by the camera were very similar to what I could see with my naked eye. But when I pushed down the WB to 2500ish, the candle light hue was picked up by the camera as white light, as opposed to the natural orange hue of a candle.
Could you kindly make a video on white balance good sir!
As always thank you for responding.
Man, this is such a cool idea! I really need to get some of those Aputure MCs!
hhey thank you so much!! go get em!
Clever and effective
1000th like. I feel special.
Awesome
thank you!!
This is not the low budget brother
Considering often time rigging a setup like this with trailers, drivers, lights, etc can cost thousands, this is pretty low budget. Of course it is still money invested but if you plan on growing your career some money should be invested. Thank you 😊
@@BradyBessette Yes you're right and I like your efforts too but if we talk about the budget so we need to invest more money to buy many of the lights so I thought it's not a properly low budget it's a alternative because if you cover properly low budget so you need to explain the trick of the light how you can make DIY light at home...Hope so you understand my words I'm not against with your video but this is my opnion 😊
Amazing, and simple! Thanks for this video!
Your videos are very helpful for learning about lighting
Glad you like them!
awesome
Good job, very creative!
nice... quite creative!
Trying to recreat this effect with my MCs but I can figure out how you set each one on the timeline and the settings for the fades
There are a couple great tutorials I saw on UA-cam that helped me out a lot
It's the thumbnail I picked on instagram!
Yes!
Hell yeah
1st 🔥
Thanks!
i just love your content , keep up the good work man ! stay safe.
Thank you tons!
I’ve been watching UA-cam videos on lighting. No one beats you. You are the best I’ve seen. Thank you for taking the time to solve our lighting problems.
thank you so much, truly.
Great Video as always
Thank you so much
@@BradyBessette You’ve made me realize how important lighting is, doesn’t matter what camera you have, if the lighting is wrong it’s almost impossible to fix in post. I thought I needed to buy a new camera instead I’ll be investing in lighting and learning lighting and composition/story.
That is AWESOME to hear. Best of luck on your journey :)
what camera do you use?
Bro you are so great at what you do! It’s amazing Thanks! This helps a lot
That means so much thank you
What program were you using to program in those lights?
Aputure app
Great Information
Great implementation of the mc’s! Love the videos!
My new friend Paul! Hey! Thank you
@@BradyBessette 😆 Np. Happy to be here.
You deserve more viewers!🖤
I don't even have a camera at this moment.
But when I do get one.
I'm gonna use all things I've watched from you.
and we both cannot wait for that day to come!
@@BradyBessette One doubt tho...
Why won't you do videos with more people on frame?
Cos of Covid?
A table dinner scene or classroom or campfire.
Something like that.
Very clever and effective way to light a car scene! Awesome video!
Thank you so much!!
Great to meet you 😊❤️❤️❤️
Great video 👌
Hello! Thank you
Thanks for the great video..
It is a struggle to get the lighting correct but watching you take your sweet time to plan everything and test them makes me feel like I just need to be more patient 😌
Thanks for the lesson, man..
More power to you..
patience is KEY! good luck, thank you
Good lord dude!! This is amazing!!!!!!!
hello SIR! Thank you so much for stopping by
This is great bro! Nice work.
hey sir!!! nice to see you here, thank you
I really enjoyed and learned from this.
I've been looking for a video showing this exact thing for my next project.
