- Dropped into Elephant Mausoleum, and I don't think this region requires any explanation on how... crazy it looks. Anyway I'm messing with new techniques as I continue to upload videos, so you'll see slight changes to this video's format. Enjoy this short, but intense run of LOST CACHE.

Elephant Mausoleum is such a beautiful map, the first time I went I thought I was in some corner of hell.
That initial spawn, I almost lost my breath. Sneaking over to that first area with the cyborg crucifixion, climbing up the tanks to the side of that and looking out over the rest of the map seeing the horizon, my throat fell into my stomach. What manner of hell went on to make that little hillside into a cemetery for entire nations?
The devs really outdid themselves, making war feel like literal hell - depictions of impaled bodies, crucifixion, and the endless stretch of bullet casings and debris littering the region as far as the eye can see. You can really tell that no side is winning, and that they don't give a damn about you either.

How in the ever loving hells do you manage to get the game looking that good whilst running that smoothly? My rig isn't weak by any means but it struggles to stay above 40 frames with visual quality like this
I had it on Ultra since launch, but it kept freezing in Elephant. So I was curious with how it would perform in Medium... and I'll tell you that what you're seeing is Medium quality at around 60 fps, give or take lol

I give more credit to the decent GPU I'm using. I export in 4k but even I'm skeptical that YT will compress my footage. The game runs worse for me on High-Ultra settings which was on my first two TFW videos.

Does the angry doggo spawns only when going through the bunker?
Haven't quite figured out how they spawn, but I think it's a bit of RNG and your reputation with the other factions. I've ran multiple extracts and had different encounters with patrols and enemy types.
As a WH40k fan i can’t help but compare this to the age of strife era or men of iron uprising within the lore
Oh man Warhammer sounds like a beast of a franchise to get into. It looks so badass yet so lore heavy.
This game world and premise is so effin awesome… if only they fixed the jank and the crap design decisions with game mechanics… like the dumb m/unintuitive view toggles and no strafing, etc. Make it feel like a modern shooter. It’s like the devs have never played a well playing modern shooter before.
They have a lot of work to do but they're well aware of what needs to be fixed. It takes time to finetune the controls but that is also the reason for the early access state - compiling the feedback we give them so they can create the game we (the dev and the player) both want in the end.
If you think the devs wanted to create another "modern shooter" then you are in the wrong place buddy

Buddy, in this game you a easy to die scavenger, not a goddamn Rambo.
Its not a modern/military shooter, its a scavenging game with survival shooting gameplay. Asking Forever Winter to have modern shooter gameplay is like asking a horror game to spectacle fighting gameplay. Also its deep early access, jank is to be expected. survival
