It is such a shame that figure skating has moved away from beauty and technical brilliance and instead pushes for more jumps and more dangerous jumps. I do not see any value in pushing an athelete until their body breaks down. Let them skate. Reward skill but do not center scoring around jumping.
How I enjoyed every performance Stéphane gifted us during his career! He was a total package and a sincere artist, he was absolutely a master of elegance and athleticism.
