OK but as a Japanese who’s fluent in English and is studying abroad in France at the moment, this content was literally all I needed 😂 I love Shoma and Stéphane they’re too cute 🥰
This is so cute! Shoma is so adorable!!!💕💕💕💕 You can tell how comfortable they are with each other and how much mutual respect they have for each other! I can’t wait to cheer for Shoma this season👏
Stephen hasn’t aged much! He’s my favourite figure skater and teenage idol 🥰 It’s great to see Shoma & Stephen working together
Thank you so much for this interview! We absolutely enjoyed it! I love the bond that Shoma has developed with Stéphane! Shoma's French was impressive 😉
This is the best thing ever 😂😍 thank you so much for this! Please give us more of those two, they're so precious 💞 two sweet figure skating geniuses 🔥💕
Thank you so much!! You have no idea how much I love this! We Shoma (and Stephane) fans have been waiting for the video since when you announced you were filming it. These two together are so wholesome and I beg you, please release the uncut/behind the scene version beause I know we all want to see more of them
What a lovely interview! It's one of the nicest coach-trainee relationships there is in figure skating ✨Stéphane ✨Shoma. I didn't know Shoma's French could be better than his English 😅, that face at the end tho... 😂. (btw I still don't know why the name hasn't been changed to artistic skating in English as well 🤔) Olympic channel, thank you for giving us new memories
@@RaymondHng Yes, tracing figures used to be essential in its origins, but it has not been evaluated for a long time now. The thing is, my native language is Spanish and when I watch competitions with the title figure skating, I don't even think about the name, I just remembered about the artistic when listening to Stéphane, when I watch transmissions with the Spanish title "patinaje artístico" (I think it used to be called ice skating / patinaje sobre hielo in Spanish before 🤔 but not sure) and when I notice that some programs don't look very artistic (I know it's subjective), that's when I think that maybe the name influences the skaters when considering the importance they give to this part, not all of them ofc. Just a thought.☺️

I’ve heard it’s been a mix of gestures and words. Stephane knows a little Japanese, and Shoma’s English isn’t that bad. It seems like it’s better than he thinks it is. Plus, his manager and Koshiro translate for him.
Shoma is adorable and his French pronunciation is excellent. Can someone explain why when Stéphane says his name in Japanese he says what sounds like Stéphane-dis?
What stepehane said was, "watashi wa stephane desu" the "desu" at the end is the verb that is almost always at the end of the sentence and is like is or am verb.
Latin languages are way more similar when it comes to how words sound and how you should pronounce them compared to English. So Shoma might actually be better at French if he tries to learn it
WOW ! XOX

That's correct but during competition the French announcer says les scores pour and then the English announcer says the scores please, so I understand why they let this translation, even if it is incorrect ^^

Shoma is my favourite imaginary son, so I have this motherly instinct to yell at the monitor: "Eat your greens! mange tes légumes!"
😂😂😂
Perfect pairing of coach and skater. To remember coach-less Shoma in tears in K&C not long a go and seeing him now as World no. 1 is so cool.

Shoma is so adorable hahaha!😂
Stephane: Yeah, I might use French from now on.
Shoma: Nani?!
I love the sense of humor they both share. It makes all of us smile and our day much brighter. Please continue making such cute and positive videos!

I think it's funny/weird that the similar roller skating sport IS called artistic skating and they STILL have figure tests!
The sport of figure skating is named after the compulsory figures which use to be in competition.

I've lost track of how many times I have watched this. I love them so much 🥺✨❤️

ha ha ha..Shoma and Stephane are both so cute...
Shoma is so cute by the way he should learn how to speak English because media will ask so many questions.😍

I love thiiiis. I'm just learning french and would like to learn Japanese after I finish my french lessons
Très bien, Shoma and Stéphane. I wish I could go back to studying Japanese although I know that 漢字は難しいね.

Stephane is so pretty. ❤
1:09 Stephane basically said Ice Cream in Japanese but Shoma thought he was speaking English LMAO
Perfect!
Very nice 👌
I love these two more then my own family
Stephane, in japanese it's not Lambiel. It's Lambieru!
Love them both, but couldn't help thinking of Hermione's Leviosa scene 😆
