Taking the fuse out makes sure that the high pressure fuel pump won't pressurize itself while you have it disconnected. It can pressurize when you open your driver's door so you have to be careful that you don't do that if you didn't remove the fuse.

The one for the fuel pump in the interior fuse box. It'll be listed on the diagram in there.
My cam follower was completely shot, literally in pieces when I pulled it out 😱
