    Decent video on testing. But the late models(BWT) don't have that extra check valve. The one you installed is for early model(BPG) cars. Also, that Truesmart(HT) pcv will last a month. Alwayd install genuine PCV, don't cheap out.

    Good stuff man. You’re pumping out a lot of content. Don’t over work yourself bro. I’m waiting for your channel to blow up which I think it will.

      A lot of these were already recorded and I wasn't planning on releasing or didn't think they had as much value as other ones.

      By the way I am already worn out. I am going to probably only release 1 video a week after the new year.

      @@RobertDotterer no one would blame ya man. Editing takes more time than people realize, especially if you’re not a professional audio and video guy. One a week would great too.

    Rob I noticed your using the launch X431 small screen but the which launch X431 are you using with the larger screen? I have the smaller one and I like but would like a larger screen. Rob if I ask to many questions please let me know but your videos have so much to offer. Damn you are extremely knowledgeable in automotive technology but your filming is top notch. The way you troubleshoot problems can be applied to most vehicles. Glad I joined. 😊 Artie

      The larger one is the Pro Mini 3.0. It should be linked in the description. You can ask as many questions as you want.

    another quick check.. try to pull the oil cap off. sometimes so much vacuum on the crankcase that you cant pull it up. Yes, it can lower oil pressure. It can also yank the rear main seal lip off its housing. Here's a fix for some p0299's ua-cam.com/video/kRHmjAD3JHc/v-deo.html Keep those video's coming

    I have an 07 2.0t passat and it’s making that same noise but runs perfect and no codes , the only thing is the last time I changed oil it smelled like fuel . Any ideas ?

    I’m surprised that didn’t blow all the oil seals out of the engine! You seem to be using the launch scan tool a lot. Is that becoming a favorite?

    • @RobertDotterer
      @RobertDotterer  4 роки тому

      It is my favorite. Actually the think Diag is my favorite but it's hard to screen record and show what I am doing at the same time since I can't use my camera at the same time.

    Rob good video. I personally do not see that cam follower or cam lasting much longer. Just took a direct fuel injection course with ATS and definitely a know failure point. Yes I’m sure there is plenty of oil gas and fuel in that oil pan. Thanks for sharing and let me know if my assumptions are correct. Like you know I’m attending every class I can. Also just today took a Dave Hobbs course on the new brushless 3 phase fuel pumps. Stay well and safe in this crazy world 👍🇺🇸

      The expected life of those followers is 15,000 miles or so. I think audi recommends every 30,000. My friend does them every other oil change on customers cars.

      @@RobertDotterer my only concern was aren’t there 4 lobes on that cam or however many cyl.and just concerned what the rest of them look liked wear wise? You know waaaaaaay more then me I’m just trying to learn only for myself and I trust your knowledge. I’m only questioning because I’ve only seen two followers one in ATTS MR.G class and now your video. Thanks Rob much for sharing your knowledge with me. 😊

      There is 4 lobs. I did spin it and look at them, they all looked the same as far as wear.

    • @kidsavage86
      @kidsavage86 Рік тому

      I did plugs and coils still misfiring and now vacuum leak and I think throttle body position sensor cuz if I get on it hard like floor it, it says epc and if I cut it off few minutes and back on it will go away so idk soon as it got hot
      These things start and now the fuel gauge don't work at all also

    I have p2187 and p119A what do you recommend to start by replacing

    • @RobertDotterer
      @RobertDotterer  3 роки тому

      I would not recommend replacing anything. You need to do testing first. Throwing parts at cars can cause more issues then they fix.
