Hopefully this list of potential fixes for PC Halo Infinite players helps anyone experiencing crashes. Remember to drop a solution in the comments if you have one that I can add to my list and create a good thread to help anyone else out.
I had 2 teeth pulled this week so sorry if it sounds like I have a lisp or can't talk just right I haven't fully recovered.
343 is horrible for not fixing this even 2 years later. Like what is the point of trying to play when I have to watch 16 youtube videos on how to get it to run.
I found, if you have a Nvidia card, it’s a Nvidia Driver issue, there is a link in the official support page for Halo Infinite but you can also just google it, but you wanna look/download driver version 555.85, that fixed the issue and Nvidia is apparently working on a new driver to fix it
I downloaded halo infinite from gamepass and it was still happening then I tried to contact xbox support they are fucking useless

I was just banned for that too.. it pretty much loads me into the match (mind you it still in load screen for me) and then boots me causing a ban for leaving leaving to many matches

I did most of what he did in this video, like most. Disable all programs for pc lighting, fans, gpu, keyboard. Wether it be razer synapse or in my case, Armoury Crate. I'm sure different manufacturers have different programs for it.
For Asus go into Aura Sync --> Aura Effects --> (at the very bottom) In-Game lighting effect. Turn that mfer "OFF".
P.S As instructed from another video I am running nvidea driver 522.25
I may have found an additional step to add onto the common steps like removing the texture pack and validating game files. In the start menu search Graphics Settings and then enable Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling. After enabling this I saw my GPU usage go from 0% to anywhere from 80-100% where before it seemed my CPU was handling most of the load, even though it doesn't have integrated graphics.

my GPU is already handling most of the load is says 100% gpu use all the time while CPU is sitting at like 50-80%

i just downloaded the game
when i open the cleint it works for like 6 seconds and at the 343 company name it crash and the cleint close i dk why any help?
So far setting the minimum FPS to 30, setting the maximum FPS to 120 and using a Nvidia card helped the issue.

If this doesn't work try MSI Afterburner and set the GPU power limit to 95%. I went from crashing every 2 minutes to never crashing again.

thank you so much, 1 year later and this is still a problem ... Since I stopped using the razerapp before starting halo, its working as nothing ever happened. totally fixed the game for me
I try these options but my games crashes when I finish match and the loading screen shows up and crashes my pc :(

I just had this happen now. Menus work. But whenever i go online or try to go in game, it just crashes
Thx for that last tip, I was having the exact same issues as Infinite kept crashing and mcc was sending me "anti-cheat errors"

my game just keeps crashing non stop and sometimes i can play like 1 or 2 games and then it will crash but no matter what i do the game seems unplayable for me and i 100% know its not my pc i have tried everything people are saying so at this point idk what to do
Sorry to hear, hopefully one of these helps. I’ll be updating the potential fixes from people in the comments today so I would check any of those options also.
Same, the game is virtually unplayable and it's sad to see the game itself is having alot of issues and people having to spend thousands of dollars just to play one game. My problem is similar to your guys problems, I've tried everything even uninstalling (my game) and deleting my data but it won't start up and it keeps crashing. And I know my Game isn't corrupted, so I can't play and wasted 60 dollars +30 dollars of in-game content. Waste of my time and money :(
I'm on Acer Predator Helios 500 (Ryzen 7 2700, Vega 56, 32GB RAM (16GB allocated as HBCC)). I had constant crashes(freezes) whenever in game - every 2-10min of playing I had to do hard reset - even with newest Vega drivers. Updating my AMD chipset drivers from ver 2.x to newest 4.x solved the problem - I am currently after 3 hr long playthrough without any freezes. Although the game stutters a lot, even after switching internal vsync and framerate limiter and using AMD Freesync to get rid of tearing (as recommended somewhere), but it is still playable.
I have the same problem and now its solved, If you use amd radeon VGA, please disabled RADEON ANTI LAG, it will improves performance your pc and prevents halo from crash,

WOW! Back then when the multiplayer weighted just like 18 GB and had 3 Months of life! Now nostalgia aside My infinite crashes MID gameplay

My game never crashed but after recent driver update its crashing every time
same here. I can't even do anything most the time it crashes when it gets to the main screen.

turning off high res textures worked for me... not sure how this even creates this crash but sorted :D
changing the voice input device and disable voice chat fixed it for me
I play from the microsoft store, occasionally I'll crash in multiplayer from what I assume are just normal crashes, they happen sparsely. That being said, I have issues playing the campaign. I've gotten as far as Ransom Keep and now it just crashes after a minute or so if I'm lucky to get that far, it sucks because I really want to play the campaign.

It fucking hurts when you are doing challenges and this shit fucks you over you try again AND STILL FUCKING CRASHES!!!
Other Potential Fixes:
-It's a last ditch effort but uninstalling and reinstalling the game

I haven't tested but I think this is the solution for all the halo issues
I got it to work just put your steam to offline and then you can definitely play the campaign but obviously cannot play multiplayer which sucks

Always crashed on repository mission,where after the weapon finds out that she's a copy of cortana,i'm headed left because that's where the audio log placed,i noticed the stuttering after i took the audio log i go back outside but when i tried to go back inside continuing the way...welp,it crashed.
So,does anyone have this kinda problem? But interestingly the right path doesn't have any problem,did 343i intentionally put that game crasher on the left path so that we can't get the audio log?
Running as admin helps and repairing the game from windows settings
my issue is every time i want to play it go to loading screen it crashes or exit it

@@ryanghur5489 I’ve got it to work the only way you can play the campaign if you’re using steam I don’t know about Xbox app but put steam to offline and it will definitely work
So frustrating I’m about to play this on the og Xbox one even though I feel my PCs hardware is better and should be able to run infinite. Game crashes every time I try to load into a match
The new update just hit today which is a bad sign if games are still crashing
I have tried everything and it still crashes right when I press enter. I don't get any errors and cinebench does not crash. Any other solution of what it could be?

I'm not really sure stating the obvious of "verify game" and "check your drivers" counts as a fix! I was hoping for something i hadn't already tried 0.o

@@1UpNerdcore actually i stand corrected, it was the high resolution texture pack that seemed to mess it up for me :) I didnt even know it was installed via xbox app so fair plays ya helped me fix it, cheers :)

Not sure if anyone has same issue as me but the issue started 2 days ago normally halo infinite crashes sometimes and I just need to reopen it but 2 days ago and now it makes my pc freeze and I have to do a restart !! Anyone know what’s wrong ?? I recently upgraded my cpu fans to a better one and my specs are intel I7 9700k not overclock and amd Radeon rx 5700
My pc started the exact same thing around the same timeband also have 5700xt.

I got no issues other than when I tried to setup a custom game it crashes every time. I can play multiplayer with people all night and day and 0 crashes. I wanted to setup and play against some bots so I could learn the maps better. However so far I've found some kind of crash bug.

Still have to try disabling Logitech's software, but so far nothing has worked. My issues is weirder and more specific, though. Everything is fine, except the campaign, at a specific spot. The first boss guy, on heroic, once I defeat him, it autosaves and crashes....
Does it do that regardless of the save? Meaning you’ve tried starting over multiple times
@@1UpNerdcore the save triggers the moment he dies. The save will happen no matter what, but I have no idea if it has anything to do with the crash or not. Could be a coincidence. Several things happen when event triggers are activated
@@1UpNerdcorethe save fails. So it ALWAYS puts me back to the checkpoint before I grab the first armor upgrade from the dead spartan
I have a similar issue where I keep crashing after an autosave when I clear a room in a later mission

It’s crappy sound design, everyone is in the same boat on this one. It’s one of my biggest gripes with multiplayer.
I'm having respawn issues game is becoming unplayable. rtx 3090 i9 10900kf. I have the lg 4k ultra gear monitor. I wonder if it's because of 4k gaming, the first couple weeks this game out was flawless max graphics never had any problems.

So my game plays fine for about a hour and then starts to have audio or graphical issues then crashes. My GPU is not over heating that was the first thing I was checking. Then after it crashes I try to open it again and then is starts crashing before it loads. If I close and reopen steam then steam says the game is no longer installed. After I try to tell it to install again it finds it and goes through restoring it and then is had a disk error. I have to restart my machine and then steam finds it and then I can play it for another hour and the cycle repeats....Anyone have this kind of issue if so any advice. Also this is the only game this is happening on. I run a 1070 at 1080p and medium settings. I am going to go in and tweak a few settings after reading the comments I will update if I find a fix.
That almost sounds like a hard drive issue. Are the hard driver drivers up to date? Can you install it on another drive and see if it still happens?
@@1UpNerdcore it holds all my steam games. I play many other games with no issues through out the week. It is not impossible by any means but I just don't think its as likely as something wrong with this game.
Sorry also yes SSD is up to date as well I did check and so is my CPU
@@1UpNerdcore I have been working on it more and now I have the normal crashes everyone else gets when the game just closes to desktop. I can reopen it and play for another 20 or 30 minutes...I am not sure if its a step back or a step forward lol. I think it is safe to say its not a hard drive though. I did mess with the graphics and turned off the HD DLC packs and this is what happened after that.

try going to task manager and then details, then end task for any RGB .exe software. this stopped the crashing for me. sometimes the RGB exe can start up again but usually after the second time ending the task stops it from running again.
Solution: uninstall.
