Feels like vehicles in general just have a lot less health now which given how easy it is to steal them with a grapple hook or lock them with shock damage; to me seems like a completely unneccesary nerf. They're still totally fun though imo.

It should be virtually indestructible! Besides, the UNSC has lost so much hardware already, how many of these things do you think they have left???? You know how many wasps I lost to the Banished?
Yea the scorpion handles really weirdly on console too, like I get it having the maneuver controls being the same across all vehicles makes for easier programming but game devs gotta realize that having a "you drive where your look" control interface is not ideal when driving a tank
Go into settings then under vehicle controls click on the "Movement assisted steering" option this will make tank driving not dumb. You can thank me later
@@pandagod218 I tried that on and off and it honestly still felt like doo doo a good bit. Sometimes it just doesn't wanna turn for me, so I have to do very little gradual turning.

Fr they are so fragile, the Scorpio rarely lasts over 10-15 seconds in BTB lmao, everyone will throw all of their grenades and shoot their heavy weapons to it immediately.
@TheSovietOnion eh, for multiplayer maybe. But in campaign, the wasp is almost useless wet toilet paper. You have to rely mostly on the rockets, which are slow and don't lock on unless you're in so close that you get instantly exploded. The turrets do massive damage, but aren't viable due to the same reasons as the rockets. It's mostly just a flying mongoose with less health.
The vehicles are super weird in this game. It feel like they’re being pulled by some kind of invisible object, instead of propelling themselves forward. It’s hard to describe. It’s also jank how slippy and slidey yet torquey and grippy (while accelerating) the warthog and mongoose feel.
Considering that you are navigating with a chevron indicator above the vehicle for its steering direction definitely makes it feel like its being pulled and not pushed.
In classic Halo, Warthog and Mongoose traction is velocity dependent, i.e. it feels glued to the ground, which was a conscious gameplay decision. Infinite has an arguably more realistic traction simulation, but it will probably seem more slippy
The front wheels are what you control. The back wheels are just dragged behind them. Itd be nice if the big offroad military vehicles had all wheel drive (I know they do canonically but it doesnt feel like it at all)
It’s also a physics thing cause essentuforce is being exerted both forward and to the side so the resultant vector has more magnitude or a greater velocity. I guess Halo has respected some basic physics since Halo 3.

The standard Ghost is one of the best standard Ghosts, however, I still feel that the Ghost Ultra is the best of all the games, it's extremely durable and the shots are stronger. The standard Warthogs are terrible, they handle awfully and are too fragile. The Rocket hog is just too slow in the shooting speed. The Brute Chopper is just way to hard to handle, yes the guns are good, but damn if it isn't hard to aim and impossible to drive and it misses the one aspect of being able to "chop" vehicles it rams into. The Razorback is pretty good but only because it's a new addition and 343 overpowered it as much as possible, they gave it the most armor, best driving capabilities and utility. The Bashee is straight garbage, horrible armor, weak main weapon, useless banshee bomb, the Banshee was too strong in Halo 5, so I think they really nerfed it here. The Wasps I loved since it's introduction back in Halo 5 and was very pleased it made it into this game, considering all the other cuts. The Wraith got a pretty damn strong buff, the gun is easier to aim and they really boosted the armor. The Scorpion would be great if the driving wasn't the most trash of all versions.

mostly agree, but for me the scorpion goes down to a B because of the maneuverability/control issues. The wraith is just better in most situations. As long range artillery I'll take the scorpion, but anywhere close enough where I can be hit by power weapon wielding foes, the control issues get you killed too often. The wraith gun isn't too hard to lead, and it kind of handles like a bigger, slower ghost. Plus the thing is tough.
The wraith is the hardest enemy I've had to face in Halo infinite campaign. God forbid that one place that has TWO of them. Because they're not opposed to firing on their own kind, at all, if it kills chief. 🤣

The Scorpion's main issue is the connected steering and turret control. While I am a strict keyboarder, being simply not so affluent to buy consoles when I already have a PC, the solution I offer can be implemented both on PCs and on consoles. Steering directions should be selected not by the gun direction (the front is where the turret points), but by the direction of the hull. This means you can point the turret while driving in a straight lineline with no adjustment to your steering.
Pelican should have its own tier! Love it! I love the ol Scorpion! It's a classic. However, the one in infinite feels kinda ass to control! 😔 on M&K it's pretty frustrating at times. I miss the chopper smash boost too. Razorback is rad!
On the map behemoth i love useing the chopper only cause if you hit those little plat forms where they spawn vehicles that are placed in the middle of the map at the right time while boosting you will go flying in the air.
I would also like to point out one change with the ghost compared to previous games, it doesn’t have the weak point that could be 1 burst by a BR, and I always aimed for it until they removed it in H5.
i would have personally ranked the scorpion lower only because in campaign its so hard to use as it gets stuck on just about everything even a small rock and not very easy to get around the map but i guess thats kinda fair being as it is an insanely overpowered vehicle.
Two things the wraith has going for it is that it's faster than the scorpion, and although projectile speed is slower and does less damage, you can get cross map kills with it while the enemy is behind cover because it fires in an arc
The scorpion feels so flat. It feels like the turret rotating is the only animation they gave it. In Reach the entire vehicle was pushed back when you fired it, complete with some sort of shell ejection animation in the back. It’s just crazy how to see the attention to detail flatline between bungie and 343 halos
Halo Infinite banshee is my favorite Banshee mostly because unlike in previous other players can't be annoying ballerinas in the air since it's so weak and hard to control. I love it

my guy you forgot the most fun thing about the chopper, if you're hauling ass and somehow get emp attacked, you can fly across the damn map lol, it's amazing
Quick tip for anyone who wants to destroy everything with a razorback (in campaign) . Call it in on a fob and give all your marines volatile skewers. It's actually such an op combo..
The Scorpion lost points for me because marines won't sit on the sides of it. I was hoping to get a bunch of rocket launcher Marines on the sides like in older games but they wouldn't get on.
3:30 It's a problem with how the game calculates where you are supposed to move each frame. There's some vecter math involved but for somplicity's sake diagonals have a bigger value than left/right or up/down
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the warthog's had frustratingly weak health. I guess the Wasp is good in Multiplayer, but in campaign it's really only highly effective against infantry. The MGs aren't anywhere near the Hornet's in terms of damage output and the rockets feel like the Rockethog's rockets just a bit more hard hitting.
I really don’t like how the vehicles move on Infinite except for the ghost. Every vehicle in previous halo games didn’t have weird controls. 343 somehow managed to screw up the vehicles for infinite. Also tanks, and wraths do not destroy after planting which is the oddest change.
I have a video on Xbox, where I'm flying around a tank and they can't turn the cannon quick enough to shoot while I completely destroy the tank in a wasp. Tank should be A not S. A wasp pilot can make a joke of the scorpion tank in a 1vs1
The cover on the wraith's cockpit can be shot off, leaving the pilot vulnerable. Unsure of how long it takes with basic weapons, but one sniper shot is enough to take it off, so while the gunner is safer from snipers, the pilot isn't. I'd probably bump it down at least to A.
Yeah, I feel that the vehicle controls and overall health need some adjustments made to them. I recently replayed Halo:Reach (on the MCC) and they felt natural and easy to get a hold of. Infinites vehicle controls feel really floaty at times and they lack weight (mostly for the Hogs and Gooses).
I like how at the start of Halo infinite like all the vehicles were basically s tier and were uncontested now people tend to avoid getting in certain vehicles cause they know they probably will die

Great video! I'm so glad to see Halo make a positive comeback in this sea of disappointing game releases.
Same here! 2042 hurt my soul, and Halo healed it
I love the ghost ...also love how it sounds in halo infinite ...I can imagine myself on a alien planet n swear that's how an actually alien vehicle would sound like
Wasp is also great for area denial in btb. Once you get too damaged to survive direct engagement, just get to altitude and start barraging the shit out of choke points.
Ohh the 6 pedals reference, if you get it, you get it!
I really thought you were going to put the Wraith into D tier until I used the turret and realized it multiplies its killing potential
Yo diagonal strafe from doom is included with the ghost, that’s dope
Totally agree with the razorback. Fully loaded with marines with the arcane sentinel beam melts enemies on LASO
The Razorback is quite literally the definition of a hitsquad.
my guy you forgot the most fun thing about the chopper, if you're hauling ass and somehow get emp attacked, you can fly across the damn map lol, it's amazing
Aw man i have a clip of it on my channel and forgot to use it! You're so right 😀
Razorback with 5 sniper marines is the most OP thing EVER!
I love it!
Chief’s thousand something pound self just leans one way or another

Quick tip for anyone who wants to destroy everything with a razorback (in campaign) . Call it in on a fob and give all your marines volatile skewers. It's actually such an op combo..
Nah call in a razorback and give five marines Arcane Sentinel Beam. Its literally the power of the sun in your hands.
I give them all M41 Trackers.
I was waiting for this.
The Scorpion lost points for me because marines won't sit on the sides of it. I was hoping to get a bunch of rocket launcher Marines on the sides like in older games but they wouldn't get on.
I remember one time in infinites multiplayer I smashed a wasp with a hammer I got from a kill it was really satisfying for some reason
Anti air hammer :D
3:30 It's a problem with how the game calculates where you are supposed to move each frame. There's some vecter math involved but for somplicity's sake diagonals have a bigger value than left/right or up/down
Seeing the wasp and scorpion in S just warms my heart
They deserve it for sure :D
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the warthog's had frustratingly weak health.
I guess the Wasp is good in Multiplayer, but in campaign it's really only highly effective against infantry. The MGs aren't anywhere near the Hornet's in terms of damage output and the rockets feel like the Rockethog's rockets just a bit more hard hitting.
Your profile picture is funny af with ur personality
I really don’t like how the vehicles move on Infinite except for the ghost. Every vehicle in previous halo games didn’t have weird controls. 343 somehow managed to screw up the vehicles for infinite. Also tanks, and wraths do not destroy after planting which is the oddest change.
Yeah man, there's no point on planting a nade, it's a guaranteed death
Lmaooo that intro is pure gold
"great strides" "$7 for the colour brown" . the best.

Love the mongoose. Racked up over 100 kills in Reach 1v4s with it. Also over 1,000 covenant kills. Fear me.
