Using an excavator to mine for gold nuggets in Arizona.
Equipment used:
Caterpillar 305e Excavator
Minelab GPX 5000
Minelab Gold Monster 1000

You might want to hit those ironstone pieces with your gold monster on discriminate. I have found some of egg shaped ones have a crazy amount of gold in them, like 70 percent. They were found in AZ, likely not too far from you. I found them in dry wash course tailings. Good luck and thanks for your awesome videos!

i run that elite 14 inch coil on my 4500 i found a bit 13 grams at 18 inches running in enhance .great combo i put it up against newer minelab detectors about the same result.

I’m interested in the source of gold upstream that laid the gold down… or maybe it’s multiple sources that have broken down over time and consolidated into the stream channels.
We’re talking hundreds of thousands of years of erosion. Should we look for the source now ?

great video? How are you able to use that trac hoe. I just started my research on prospecting and i thought you couldnt use any machine over 10HP on BLM or Forestry property. What am i missing? Can you get permits to use larger equiptment and are they easily gotten? or do you have to jump through hoops?
Yes you get a notice of intent and put out a small bond.

The hoe has a restrictor plate on the carb.....only 9.5 hp
