      Hey buddy! Yes this was just a quick sample we had finished the road and connected this area for the 4 wheelers. But I had a hunch there would be some pay dirt in this valley. There is creeks on both sides and both have chunky gold in them. So far it seems the material is low grade and not a lot. But the gold that’s there is chunky. Lots more to come. I can’t wait to get back up there.

    Let's say you found the very richest deep ground at 5 grams (5×$55=$275) of gold per "cubic yard". Then remember you would still have to:>> cut down trees, dig a very huge open pit hole, have 1000's of gallons of sluicing water, pay for the excavator backhoe expenses, and deal with a massive amount of waste material consisting of black dirt overburden & gravel tailings in order to make any big money. Then fill the hole back in for reclamation. >>Are you ready to do this in all respects.??

    • @sluiceboyprospecting
      @sluiceboyprospecting  Рік тому +1

      We would start small and yea we have a whole system that we would turn an acre into 4 pits with berms and use two for recalculation and one we would back fill into it. We are just sampling now. But yes you better believe it if we can find some gold worth digging we will figure it out!

      @@sluiceboyprospecting ~Good!! I do not want to be negative but just positively giving you a realistic heads up help. I was on two large placer mining camps. Yes you are doing the right thing by sampling and keep sampling if you can use a 4" to 8" mini micro plastic sluice which is better than only a gold pan. Sampling with a plastic sluice you can clean it up much quicker with no matting. I have a mini 5" Angus MacKirk highbanker plastic sluice set up. Also look at the Kreeger plastic sluice (from California) for final clean-ups. You never know what you will get sampling the different horizontal layered zones. The hunt, solving the mystery, and "gathering learning knowledge" is enjoyably fun. "YES" fill in the old holes with tailings from new holes.

    • @sluiceboyprospecting
      @sluiceboyprospecting  Рік тому

      @@royjohnson465 absolutely! I didn’t take it as negative at all. This was just us finishing up the road we had to dig a hole and see what we could find. I will be running my samples through the monster hog. We did it in another area as well. It was mainly old tailings. I have a 13 ft highbanker with a 9 inch hopper. Thinking about trying to find a small used hopper feeder to feed the giant high banker. I have a few videos with us using it. Thanks for watching and chatting, are you subscribed?

    • @royjohnson465
      @royjohnson465 Рік тому +1

      @@sluiceboyprospecting ~So you have the older Monster Hog 'before' the Super Hog came out, what a high production gravel chewing beast!! Maybe with the backhoe excavator fill 5 gallon buckets with a hopper "funnel" feeder first, then manually dump the 5 gallon buckets into the Monster Hog. I have 7x plastic Angus MacKirk, Washplant sluices for high production but I have to put it together. You could use a Le Trap plastic sluice for clean-up. I do hope you get rich. Over and out!!

      @@royjohnson465 Good god man. I bet we could talk for hours. 😂 I have never owned a letrap. It looks really easy and I’ve always been curious. I have a few really good freinds that swear by them. I like to bring my cons back and classify them and run the separate sizes through separate sluices. Then I take all the tailings and classify them +50 mesh and blue bowl them. But I could maybe start with a letrap first. I was especially interested with them when I was running my dredges because I saw people using them to clean dredge cons with the dredge engine on idol. That looked super easy and you don’t have to take the cons back to camp.

    One big thing to keep in mind. Mines go broke when you don't have a good plan and mine management.
    Other then that great job finding the pay !!!

    • @sluiceboyprospecting
      @sluiceboyprospecting  Рік тому +1

      Yes sir! This was us making the roads. We figured we do a dig in an area we suspected virgin gravels. Everything I do I plan way out and account for everything. I’m still building the plans and have lots of legal hoops Togo through before we can actually mine. We will start prospecting and running 10 yard samples in a few areas to get a better idea of what the grounds worth vrs our costs. Right now this is just a hobby and good material for my gold paydirt bags.

    Just wanted to come on and say thank you. My daughter bought a bag of your pay dirt as a gift for my birthday. Had lots of fun panning it and was decent gold (had a good smile in my pan). Came in a nice box with good instructions for beginner panners and the “thank you for supporting small businesses” card from Roy S. was a nice touch. There are lots of scam “pay dirt” bags out there and I’m glad she found you guys. Keep up the good work and god bless.
