FYI @16:48 I mention a longer extension harness for the CD changer box. Part number F1ZF-14588-AA. I've recently discovered this long harness is identical to the commercially produced Sony RC-90 cable. This cable is also included in commercially available CDX-A30 kits

The walk-through and part numbers are INVALUABLE! These weren't exactly floating around when they were new, it's 30 years later now...
I thought I was the only one squirreling this stuff away! 😅

Oh I have tons of stuff like this squirreled away. One of these days I’ll get to installing this on the car.

I haven’t seen a full kit in some time. I do see the components for sale though like the controller and pendant. If you search those part numbers and have an alert set up on eBay they do pop up. Then you can just use the commercially available changer box and blue cable…if you can find those.
