As a Jamaican raised Washington DC, Maryland and virgiy. I have a opportunity to visited Ghana, i went to this HOLOCAUST DANGEON CASTLE first time in November 2019 the year of return, and I was sad, angry, cried like a baby, because of what our brave ancestors went through. Ever since then i always go back to Ghana, i met a beautiful Ghanaian, Barbados lady. After a year later, we got married in Cape Coast, we have twins boy and girl, we are building in Aburi, when we complete our project we will move back to Ghana. Long live MAMA AFRICA and her children around the world
Beautiful
Cape Coast, Liverpool and Jamaica have a long history.
⛅️🇧🇧🇯🇲🙏🏾Bless To Know You Chose One Of My Country QUEEN 🇧🇧BARBADOS 🇧🇧🇯🇲 🤗❤
May I ask please how did you purchase land legally.
@@lorettadavis6944 my Ghanain wife has a lot of connections. Her brothers and sisters, cousins, grandparents , old friends, so it was very easy for us.
Mind you there are about 48 slave Castles in Africa and Ghana alone has 42 of the tell you how important Ghana 🇬🇭 is to the Blacks in the Diaspora....Just like our Muslim brothers and sisters journey on a pilgrimage to Meca so should all people come to Ghana and the Motherland to reconnect and relive the experience... One love AFTV.
When I was a refugee in Ghana from Liberia 🇱🇷 my school from buduburam camp visited the castle it was so amazing God bless our homeland Ghana 🇬🇭.
❤
Bro, I stay close to budumburam. I'm at opeikuma kasoa
Well tody, u r no more a refugee in Ghana. U r our brothers and sisters. Don't call urself a refugee again, always family.
You're not a refugee but rather a Ghanaian ❤
@@NANAASARE180 💝👏🏻👍💝
The tour guide is very knowledgeable. I learnt a lot. This is a pilgrimage every blackman living in the USA 🇺🇸 or south America should undertake to reflect and realise the sacrifice of their ancestors. May their souls rest in peace 🙏
@@barryallison7583 In Islam we believe after death that the soul starts it's journey until judgment day when every soul goes back to it's original physical body and the body is brought back again and then judgment day starts
🇵🇱🙏❤️✝️
Black people started the slave trade in Africa, just for your information 🤟🏻
100% so sad history of the slaves of Africa 😢
Ancestors sold fellow Ancestors into slavery
Big up Thomas the tour guide . Great teacher and a story teller.
As a Jamaican, its really emotional knowing what our foreparents went through...great to see the connection with our African ancestry...what a coincidence that Woda Maya, who is from Ghana is currently here in Jamaica making the same connection.. great work AFTV .
👊🏿🇯🇲
Both Robbie & Cecil have Jamaican ancestry.
🇯🇲🇯🇲🙏🏼🙏🏼
For real Bredren 💕🙏🏽🇯🇲
Jamaicans are originally Ghanaian in origin its easy to tell from physical appearance
I’ve been lucky enough to visit many countries in the world. Ghana is by far the nicest place I’ve been. The people too, they just want to make you happy. Cape coast is somewhere I will never forget . Mole national park was my favourite place in the world. I even had the national flag tattooed on my arm.
❤️💛💚
❤❤
You are always welcome ❤ Ghana is home
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Born and bred Jamaican my tribe is the Ashanti which is Ghana I am what you call roots and Culture my favourite football team is definitely Arsenal keep up the good work guys bless
Akwaaba/Welcome
Possibly the best thing AFTV have ever done, much respect.
Big ups to the tour guide. He summarised everything well. I am a Ghanaian living in the UK. As long as you are a black man. You are an African.
I’m a Ghanaian chelsea fan and I have to say this is amazing !!!!
You are the real ghanian. True blue
big up yourself!!
@@SuperGjoko chelsea😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
Robbie deserves every blessing he receives. Such a stand up man! Big up Robbie.
Honestly I agree, so happy for him !
Of all the beautiful things to see in Ghana. I am happy to see you guys explored here. I have been here before, and as a white American, I can say it was an extremely powerful experience seeing the infrastructure that ultimately built America to what it is. I was equally horrified and humbled. Please continue enjoying this incredible experience with a beautiful people. Indulge in some dried fish stew with fufu or benku for the local Ghanaian cuisine
Glad you were happy, when you visited. Do not hesitate to come over and over again lol
@@cindybaby7318stop being so nice to colonisers. You think that white jesus image is god that's why you worship white people
Big Robbie and Cecil as a Jamaican living in New York happy you guys leave your comfort zones and show us our history. God Bless you and your work and your families
Am from kenya. Happy to see AFTV in Africa. this shows love for all arsenal fans . the tour guide is very knowledgeable and i have gained a lot from this tour. am a gunner
Big ups Aftv am a Real Madrid fan but I really like Arsenal a lot and I'm in Ghana 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
Outstanding tour guide… so proud of my heritage. Much respect to the Don
I'm so glad I found AFTV way back. As a Chelsea fan, this channel is more that a football channel to me. It's the vibes, the friendliness, the banter and everything associated with it.
I enjoy the Ghana Naija banter too of course.
I am really proud of this tour guide. His story telling was really epic. Very detailed, emotional, and educative
Wow this is emotional and fantastic at the same time wow!!!!!
I'm moving to Ghana, looks so friendly, absolutely amazing
You are welcome brother , in Ghana we are a big family one of the few countries we're All religions live and celebrate together, all races live in peace and harmony.... you are welcome.
Is only in Ghana that you see Muslims and Christians celebrating festivals together. One of the most peaceful countries in Africa and the world.
Ghana is absolutely BEAUTIFUL 😍
Cape Coast is my hometown. As a kid we used to play in the castle as a I had a friend whose father was in charge of the caste and had quarters there where they lived.
I took it for granted till I grew up and realised what the structure really represents.
“If you are bound to forget the past then we are bound to repeat its mistakes” (Thomas) 🙏🏽
That was deep!!.
The best AFTV vlog ever.....I'm from South Africa and to see the history of Ghana and how similar it is to that of our prisoners on Robben Island including Mandela got me choked up and I'm used to that type history. Can't imagine how it was for you guys coming from the UK. Big ups Thomas got me interested in traveling to Ghana 🇬🇭 🇿🇦
What's even sad it's that Ghana has 42 of such evil castles dotted along it's coast from West to East. Amongst the 45 slave castles in Africa, Ghana has 42. The Europeans chose Ghana to pepertuate their crimes.
Tottenham fan in peace. I write books about dark tourism - visitation to places associated with death & disaster, but haven't made it to Cape Coast, so I was very interested to see this video when it came up in my sidebar. Your guide was exceptional in presenting the narrative with sensitivity, & captured the essence of what we could, & indeed should, take away from dark sites that have become reinvented as tourist attractions in contemporary times. Exceptional camera-work too. Well played, AFTV.
How can you hate robbie? He got a big big heart trust me!!!!
In everlasting memory of the anguish of our ancestors. May those who died rest in peace. May those who return find their roots. May humanity never again perpetuate such injustice against humanity. We, the living, vow to uphold this.
AFTV! Love what you’re doing guys!
Your tours of Africa are very important for the transfer of knowledge, especially to give Africa a chance to share her story, undiluted!😆✅
Welcome to the motherland Robbie and AFTV crew 🇬🇭
Big up Thomas The Tour Guide, seems a very knowledgeable and kind person
Are you gentlemen in GHANA for real? Congratulations! I am a Ghanaian residing in West Lafayette, Indiana. I have been in the United States for the past 22 years. Even though I am a LIVERPOOL fan, I have been watching your program on UA-cam and I really enjoy it. I enjoy listening to the gentleman, who is originally from Nigeria (sorry I cannot recall his name). He is an interesting gentleman to listen to. In one of your videos from the 2022/23 season when Arsenal was high flying, he was dancing with his daughter. Please enjoy the very best of my motherland. GOD BLESS AFRICA!
Omg this was a huge emotion for me to really understand the horrors that African men had to go through, it’s a powerful story and feeling to share and understand, thank you for sharing this story ❤
Men and women.
Proud Ghanaian and a Gunner. Love this content ❤❤
I'll be in Ghana this december/january and I'm making sure that this Slave castle tour is a must for me.
Come to Uganda (the Pearl of Africa) sometime as well. Thanks to AFTV for visiting Africa.
@JJTichalla. I qm Ghanaian living in europe. Planning to return home this December too. I cam house you so no need for hotel. Text back if you can
Chief Robbie returns to where the journey began 👍🏿🇯🇲
The best aftv video ever produced.
A very powerful episode and special thanks to Thomas the tour guide (i hope i got his name right?). I really apreciated his take away lesson at the end. Peace man.
Wow! Ghanaians are always Eloquent. The dude is just good.
As an Ethiopian and what we are going through currently this video gave me much more appreciation for my ancestors who sacrificed their lives at the battle of adwa and I felt a deep sorrow watching this place
This is so emotional. 😢 It’s almost like you’re witnessing the experience right in your face. Big up Thomas for the detailed explanation of these historical events.
OMG now i understand the true meaning of "Adwa "! DR aftv what a tour, u showed us what the media wont show us . Bigup the the tour guide
Wow! Just wow. A really important narrative that Robbie, Cecil and Thomas (the impressive tour guide) handled with such sensitivity and grace. Abit of a heavy subject, but a necessary one. This is one of the best episodes of AFTV I've seen, because as a black person these stories and information are never told or shared. Massive respect to the entire AFTV family. Maximum respect. ❤
As a descendant of Armenian Genocide survivors, this definitely hit home for me. May the atrocities of the past never repeat and may we all learn to live as one in harmony 🙏🏻🔴⚪️
🇵🇱🙏❤️✝️
And as an Israeli Jew I can definitely identify with both the Armenian Genocide and the slave trade which is the African Holocaust.
@@michaelelton7464you're not a jew. You didn't go through what the real Jews went through in the torah. You didn't go through slavery. The original Jews are all black.
That welcome you guys got when you arrive, that's the welcome presidents receive when they visit other countries across the continent
Thomas the tour guide is a history book. As an African who studied slavery and slave trade, I'm still learning from him and I'm emotional but so proud to be from MAMA AFRICA, the mother of all Continent. AFTV & Robbie Lyle I give you massive respect for everything you do, because you don't only focus on football, you always try to connect with people of different cultural backgrounds and believe . God Bless you all
big up AFTV . I am from kenya and Ihave learnt a lot. IT IS good to know your roots and culture so as to move forward
Wow! Emotional 😢😢😢
The tour guide I had when I went there 4 years ago was very knowledgeable and a delight to be with. You guys will learn a lot.
Thank you too you guys for going there and filming, it was so powerful. Thank you.
That was touching guys, I have to say that the work you all are doing outside of AFTV is tremendous, and this transcends that, you’ll be hugely Blessed for all of this. Major respect. Peace. Wayne…
Thank you AFTV! Am Ethiopian 🇪🇹 Arsenal fan It is an amusing episode i learn a lot about Ghana about our history. Please do more of it and i hope you will continue your African tour by coming to The Land Of Origin Ethiopia 🇪🇹! Where humanity started.
What do you find amusing?
I'm Ghanaian, one of biggest dream is to come to Ethiopia. much love 🇬🇭🇬🇭
@@ackahkofiefrancis4289 Please come Brother! I want to visit 🇬🇭 too

AFTV! You have reached NEW HEIGHTS with this trip to Cape Coast. Take a WELL DESERVED BOW!!!
What an episode guys! Very touching! ❤
Special episode! This one's close to my heart for sure
I have been there in 2018 and visited the slave castles, a beautiful and knowledgeable experience.
This is why arsenal club is so special ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing this rich history. AFTV more than a football fan TV... Big up
8:25 Cecil’s face after being told Church of England worshipping god above the slaves 😭🫠 felt that too brother
Literally every group of Christian’s had slaves at some point, not just the Church of England.
@@davidmarwood775 not really the point but ok
Great work AFTV.
So much learnt from watching this video.
Big up to Ghana,
Big up to Mr. Thomas, the tour guide.
We learn from the past to always build a better future.
We chose forgiveness.
We chose progress.
We chose pure and unadulterated LOVE for all mankind.
God Bless AFTV.
Best Aftv episode ever. So touching
This is why Robbie is the Don. Big up for this good work AFTV
Great experience for anyone. A historical trip that has a chilling back story.
Big up AFTV for this one 👏🏿
Robbie this is the one time i have to say you've outdone yourself big up king! And im South African but sure do relate seeing most of our ancestors are victims of British imperialism which is weird seeing i love Arsenal so much.
Black Africans kidnapped and sold other black africans to the slave traders. How do you relate to that?
This is not easy to put on an entertainment channel.. but whatever the platform don’t shy away from the truth.
This is the best content AFTV have ever done.

@@MrKnowledge0014he is probably one of those bigots. Don't waste time on this garbage.
One of the many reasons I love AFTV!!! It’s more than football, they are about the people! Thank you for such an amazing episode, knowing your history is crucial! ❤️
A very emotional but knowledgeable tale that is well narrated by Thomas. We are yet to received an apology
Isn't every race ,all have been victims of slavery at some time or another.humans can be mean
An apology from who? The local kings who sold their own people into slavery?
@@dabhand6796 I'm a Ghanaian whose ancestors were slaves. Stop lying to yourself. Those are the lies they tell u so u can avoid taking responsibility for the wickedness your ancestors did in the history of humanity.
We don't need their Apologies. What people deserve is Reparations!!!
They also had a role to play too, but all of europe has to apologise for heinous crimes committed in africa and the ones they are still committing@@dabhand6796
Good to see you guys in ghana
Love you AFTV from sierra Leone 🇸🇱 🇸🇱🇸🇱
😱Wow! That was too deep, left me welling up!😭😢💥🇬🇭

Love what you’re doing AFTV. The tour guide was amazing . Big up to the camera and production crew too !
Very well explained and very intelligent young man, Enjoy your stay in Ghana
Great tour guide and an emotional story. Well done to Thomas and AFTV for showing this!
Cape coast is a beautiful place man

Brilliant tour guide, so so touching
Cape Coast Castle is always an emotional journey....
What an amazing story you shared Robbie. I’m so glad you brought us with you on this experience. Never would have been able to see this and be educated on this if not for you.
I mean see it I understand but why don’t you learn about things like this, you can read online and listen to stories online also. It’s so easy so why not do it yourself?
@@RichardShepard-p6g Why not criticise, we all learn new things almost everyday in different ways. By your logic the video shouldn't be made because this information can be found out on other ways so it's a waste of time.
@@MrKnowledge0014 I mean I’m just asking a simple question why he can’t learn that on his own that’s all.
@@RichardShepard-p6g and it doesn't matter when he learnt here which could lead to learning more elsewhere
@@RichardShepard-p6g Bcos he won't get to see an outstanding tour guy to teach and show him first hand. Robbie did a massive job by visiting Ghana and we are learning a lot from the trip.
