There are no hair salons in these schools, nor are they desirable, because plaiting hair takes several hours and would be detrimental to their studies. 2. Avoids unwarranted competition. Plaiting hair traditionally had been reserved for adults, due to possible damage to their tender hair and also financial considerations. Again, in the motherland, our hairs have no "stigma" so there is no hurry to straighten them. It may interest you to know that traditionally, "Rasta" hair plaiting were done strictly for religious purposes.
I just don't understand why some people are trying to exclude GA people from our history talking about Israelite it was the Ga's who actually originated from Israel when it was called Canaan
