So envious of your ability to move your fingers and play so well. In the hands of an artist it sounds so sweet... in my hands it scares the dogs. Great job! An American fan...
Keep at it! I have like 8 months of training, atleast 10 minutes a day, it sits in my desk (I'm home office) and I work with pomodoro, so I always have 10 minutes
My god! There is a god! It's you, darlin! Your dexterity is unparalleled! And your drummer ain't half bad either. Respect to both of you. Merry Christmas!
She is also of of the best flautists around, Scott McClean! I'm pretty sure Leah knows that she happens to be playing a tin whistle and knows the difference between the two, but hey, thanks for pointing that out!
She aint playing a flaut (only jokin) There is a difference between the two , but not much . Theres a huge difference between the irish fluate and the classical flauwte though (Im sure you know )
@@fluteswhistles3227 Thank you! ....and a great 2021 to you! Stay healthy, everyone, and enjoy playing music in these many months of strange quiet due to COVID. Cheers!
How can be possible to have a crush on somebody only watching a few videos of that person ☺? It's not something which happens to me usually. This girl has something special. And I'm not talking only about her flute playing. I feel that she is kind hearted also. I feel nostalgic and lonely watching her videos because I miss that kind of girl in my life 😥. I'm from Spain and I don't see that kind of girl here. I'm very lonely and sad because here most of the girls are arrogant and sexist against men. I have been traumatized, hurted and abandoned by them several times. And when I watch these videos I feel something powerful and healing, but kind of sad at the same time. I feel sad because I'll never meet that kind of girl here, in this country. Her videos make me cry sometimes, because that feeling plus the beautiful playing. It's a complex feeling difficult to put in words. I guess that you won't read this, Orlaith, but in the case it happens I just wanted to express my feelings. I couldn' t keep them shut down inside me. Maybe I'm just another UA-cam comment to you but I'm really writing my sincere thoughts. Your soul looks very clean to me and I needed to express it.
Might also be a John Sindt. He invented that design. I'm not sure though. The Killarney has those studs on the mouthpiece. On a Sindt they're flush with the body but I can't really tell from the video. Edit: channel confirmed it's a Killarney. There are also other videos of her playing one.

just one question. How do they manage to keep sitting?
My question is how does she manage to stay conscience, I would've passed out blowing into that time whistle for so long.
this is so beautiful ❤ what a talented girl she is
Simply stunning, I just got a Killarney whistle for a Christmas present, great whistle, I just wish I could play the way you do.
Practise as many hours and you might!
Reeldin 58 I have one myself. It’s lovely, I got it in a local shop in kenmare.
Lucky you, wish I had one! Take care of it and don’t get rid of it ever.

Wowza! Amazing talent and hard work. Thank you for sharing!
It just occurred to me how the drum accents, as above, my have helped inspire jazz snare drum playing in the States.

Absolutely fantastic feel and definition! One of the very best flautists around for sure!
Leah Horrigan She ain't playing a flute. She's playing a tin whistle/penny whistle.

Is that a Killarney in Brass? How does it stay so shiny? Mine started tarnishing the first day.
Yes this is a Killarney Whistle. Not sure why that has happened to yours! Mine is kept in a pouch.
Thanks for your reply. At least the patina doesn't affect the sound. :-)
It the whistle in D?
Eb
It's shiny because it's in nickel :)
Forgot that tune.
Go on the Irish.
Kilarney brass eb? C?d?
What's the best way to play a bodhran? With a knife. What's with the spaz attack face?
Speak English, fer focks sake!
Damn good whistle playin' therrr. Don't go taking it to seriously though, peeps.
