Kansas GIANT 226" Whitetail! My First Buck On My First Farm!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- Living in the state of Kansas, Trent has had some tremendous success over the years. One of which has a very huge part of Trent's heart being it is his biggest buck to date! Mufasa was a 226" buck that was on his In-laws farm. That hunt and property obviously became very special to him. From that moment Trent dreamed of owning a property just like it to try and grow even more deer of this caliber on his own. After starting his career with Midwest Land group Trent was able to create enough income to purchase his first ever farm, which happened to be the exact farm he killed his biggest buck "Mufasa" on. Trent made the farm his own and was very excited to hunt it for the very first time as the land owner. In the very same stand he released his arrow in for Mufasa he kills on his first hunt of the year and connects with his top target buck! An insane full circle of events makes this story one that Trent will never forget.

Awesome deer! Congrats Trent!
So cool to see your kids out there. I'm taking my 12 year old daughter out to hopefully take her first deer this fall. I'm so proud and happy that she's interested!
Good luck!!!
"Just got married a month ago... out here on my wife's family's property".... shoots 226" buck.... they made you marry her lol. JKJK awesome hunt and story man.
Does she have a sister??
@@callmecamo2is her mother divorced? 😂
Exactly... wonder why they call us privledged
She'd be easy to fall in love with. Lol
Congratulations on everything! The American dream come true in the realist way I can think of! And I am so proud to hear you thank the man in charge!😊
Can hear the heartbeat that’s wild great buck of a lifetime!
Awess see one EP!! Congrats on the dream farm!!!
Camera guy wants some airtime and will probably poach ur farm when u leave town
😂😂😂 I don’t think we have to worry about Joey. He’s as good as they come.
Does your wife need a boyfriend? Or you?
Hmmm whats legal shooting light? That was darkest shit i ever seen taken.
Poor penetration on that second buck. Let me guess,… mechanicals. 🤮
The first buck...horrible footage. Couldn't see the buck or the shot
Me: I don’t know if I want to watch this it’s probably going to be one of those stupid story hunts where some rich folk kill a big buck super easily.
The video: THIS STORY BEGINS!
Me: nope can’t relate I actually hunt like many people not this guy, guess I’ll rewatch some diy hunter and THP.
You should actually watch and you’ll see it’s not a rich guy killing a buck super easy. Pretty cool story of a small piece of ground that was in the family and he was able to purchase eventually.
So I'm glad to finally see someone who takes camouflage and blending in seriously. I see guys where regular clothes and ball caps that have white on them. Where camos inside of a completely blacked out blind instead of wearing black. Like any of these situations and the deer hears movement or sees a little and your busted, but if you take it seriously it might just give you that extra chance at a deer before they bust because now they've heard and seen you. If he gets you with 2 of his senses your done in most cases but if you just cover your white face you might get that shot. Just drives me nuts I guess I'm ocd
Don't need it till you need it!
Bummer the cam stinks in low light
They’re better now than they used to be. Definitely a bummer tho.
Love that the mic picked up his heart pounding before the shot. Amazing episode men 🦌
Camera phone video quality at low light, flashbang white transitions from dark scene to dark scene doesn't help. There's more to work on then that but that'll get ya started getting better.
No man is smarter than a wild animal ever. It is sad how technology tipped the scales. The biggest bucks that I have ever seen or harvested I never saw before that moment.
It is a different game when knowing to much about something you are trying to outwit. It is no longer a hunt or a challenge.
and i repeat.... my wifes family property. lol. good for you
There aren’t deer like that in Kansas. Stay away. They’re all small
😂😂😂
Yup! Hard for KS residents to find places to hunt.. wayyy too many out of staters coming in.. worst thing to happen to hunting in KS
Tell the truth, you married her for the property... 😂 kidding. 😳
What is your total bow and arrow setup. I have never heard a shot that quiet on film.
I love watching HBW you guys give reverence and thanks to our Lord and God Jesus. I like to see hunters put some type of face covering on also. I have killed deer that had been looking directly at me and then decided it was ok because of face covering and great concealment! What a stud buck congratulations!!
Thanks for watching! All glory to God 🙌
Great video! Congratulations on 2 absolute Monster Bucks. Great story, beautiful family, and your own farm loaded with whitetail deer, you are living every man's dream brother.
Thanks so much!
What an absolute monarch of a buck. Great video and thanks for sharing this awesome story. Truly inspriring for some guys that want to own their own dirt one day!
I had a great experience getting my 1st buck on my own land some years back. He run across three streams, each progressively deeper and wading thru cold, running water dragging my buck in Texas was about as cool as it gets. Going to the house and putting on dry clothes was about as good as my wife's cooking!
Your wife was easy to fall in love with i bet. Lol
Awesome job man!!! Such great storytelling.
My only critique would be that any time you have audio that records in single channel (i.e. only left, or only right such as in your voiceover) duplicate the audio for the missing channel so it plays on both sides. It isn’t a big deal in some formats, but in others it really sticks out. I only notice it because of a hearing impairment and a mis-matched hearing ability from my left to my right. I may be the only one it give fits, but it drives me crazy when it happens. Tv shows, songs, even some lower budget movies let it slip through.. so it isn’t too uncommon. Podcasts are the worst about it.
Also, I didn’t mean at all to imply that this video, and the story it told, weren’t totally frickin epic. Again, FANTASTIC job.
I live in KS and haven been hunting my farm for years, NEVER have I seen a deer like that. Great stuff!
Most people will never see a deer like that in their life. Truly blessed!
You don't SEE deer like that, you GROW deer like that with years of hormones and feed and minerals..it a farm raised animal just like a 8 pound chicken breast
Ive been hunting a buck that in kansas for 3 years that looks just like moufassa. Last year he grew 3 drops and his mass is crazy. He's got everything in a dream buck. Stickers, mass, tines, frame, width and drops. After seeing this buck he over 200, I now know " buckzilla" is every bit of 200. I'm praying hes still alive. He was Injured in december. Crossing my fingers
Why you wearing orange on September 26th
Great hunts and awesome bucks ! Happy for you that you were able to purchase that property and hope many great memories continue with your family over the years ! Congrats ! Brandon
Great buck and great video/story. Unfortunate to see you reference 226" in the title (click bait from a previous hunt?)
Pretty awesome stuff Brother. Something to be super proud of. Especially the tremendous family you have behind you congratulations brother. God bless.
Good video. Thanks for sharing Trent!
In before 100k. This is gonna blow up congrats!!
Who?
Man oh man I shoulda married me a Kansas woman.....
Awesome buck
😂 thanks!
I've hunted with my dad when I was younger now I'm hoping this year to get my hunting license
Congratulations 🎊 what a beast
Quit calling it a farm it just a hunting property
Lol, you can hunt your own farm, no matter how big it is. Cornfield and food plots, goats and cows, doesn't matter what kind of farm.
Looks like an 11 point
Holy crap look at that deer
Is it me or do I feel like I’m watching just a big blur , camera work sucks
That's awesome Congrats.
Zero camera light
Amazing buck, congratulations
Thanks for watching!
Married the girl to get the buck. Now that's a win win
Gonna be that guy, keep seeing these hunting folks refer to where they hunt as a “farm”. What exactly are you farming?
@joshuamccasland8180 typically its a soybean and corn crop rotation but every so often they plant Milo.
What broadhead are you using
@cray-z7404 G5 Mega Meat
It says 12 days ago but it's only September where we are so that must have been last yr right
@hopescott1132 that’s right
This just shows it’s better to be lucky than good
Does your wife have any sisters? lol
Awesome footage! Way to go!
An absolute monster dream buck!! Congratulations on a buck of a lifetime!!!
Thank you!
That’s bullshit, after dark nowonevcould even see it.
U married for deer
Man what a buck of a lifetime that first one is! However, it is kind of shocking of how weak a bow and arrow is compared to a crossbow (that arrow in the second buck). I got an old matrix crossbow and the thing is a beast (I really like). Powerful and quiet. Just need a buck like the first one (or even the second) :-)
Shocking.. I guess.. not sure what the point of a crossbow is. Why not just use a gun. They were initially intended for people with a handicap so they could hunt during bow season.. now people look for any reason to do something easy. To each is own I guess, but a crossbow requires 0 skill.
@@nickelpope5412 Crossbows were used in war and for hunting for thousands of years and they had nothing to do with handicapped people. I saw a video of a guy killing a deer with a speer- that looked like a good challenge to me which would require more skill. I use the crossbow because it is quiet and I don't like the bang from the gun (silencers are forbidden where I am unfortunately). I have thought of making my own bow and arrow and hunting with it but had no time for it so far.
I never said they were invented for handicap hunters 🤣. But they were only aloud in all states after 2013 from injured lobbyist who couldn’t draw a compound bow and wanted to hunt during bow season. I’m not knocking you for using one during gun season if it’s quieter, just stating that it requires more skill and is more sporty to use a compound. Cheers 🍻
What a truly once in a life time buck, congrats!!
Thank you!
Keep up the amazing work
Why no pass through? How heavy of an arrow? Draw weight? Broadhead?
You can hear his heart beat before shoy
Pretty wild!
Great video !!
Nice Buck !!
Thank you!
Why orange
Kansas muzzleloader season was open and that requires all hunters to wear orange.
Awesome video
Thanks!
Great story!
Thank you!
195+ bucks are quite common here in Kansas, getting an arrow in them is the hard part. You have to know where they tend to run. I have a few on my wall, all shot with archery equipment.
150+ bucks are legends in the county I grew up in…. Talk of the town for years.
As someone who hunts kansas, no 195+ deer are not “quite common” 😂😂 170 sure but not 195
@@Hunt4fun96in Nc you kill a 140-160 you’re something special
Man that’s such a awesome story!! Me and my wife are trying to buy land in KS right now just for the same reason. Trent is right, for some of us, it is the American dream to own land!! Not as much these days for most people but that’s me for sure!
@catchemalive thanks for watching! Get ahold of Trent if you’re looking to buy Ks land. He has some great connections!

Will do!!!! How do I reach him?

Here's someone you might be interested in looking into for hunting properties for sale. Efferts Brothers Farmimg. Most of their property is right along the Kansas and Missouri state line. From what I understand they have be selling a lot of land to keep the farming rights while not having anything else with the property. Some of them already have homes on them too.
Ive hunted farm land, not a challenge. See the same deer and give them names. I hunt hardwoods and large swamps. I bird hunt those areas, 100,000 acres. Have not seen a deer for three weeks. They are there, they are real deer, not tame deer. I hunted the same area last year and shot deer. Once in a while a deer will run by. The big bucks pattern you in minutes. I hear them chasing does just out of sight, grunting and fighting. Last year I had 3 wolves chasing a doe by my stand.
why not kill the deer in the barn where you raised it. You are no hunter!
@bobstewart4342 this was a free range 100% wild deer. Read the comments. One of the neighbors had pictures of the deer. Knocking other hunters isn’t a good look for any of us.
Yall all.the same...get a job
Not to dang bad for sure
Kansas requires orange during bow season???
When firearms season is open.
