So glad i found this channel, never seen anyone else feel the same way i do about these animals. The reverence shows in the way yall produce and edit, keep it alive, ill keep comin back
Thank you so much for capturing this hunt to share with us. That’s is an incredible hunt and such a great ending. Congratulations to you and my hats off to the floppy as well.
What a story! I can totally see how much dedication you've put into this deer. Amazing and this is coming from someone who doesn't hunt for trophy. Love the respect you have for what you do. Bowhunters rule!
These longer UA-cam “episodes” have been so much better for being able to tell the entire story while still keeping the funny BTS stuff. Great content as always!!
That was a great story and such a well told journey, found myself rooting for old Floppy a little bit, but glad he was taken by a hunter who appreciated and loved him. Congrats
The video of this story was amazing. The footage was amazing. Our channel is striving to look even close to the quality yours does. Awesome just straight up hand down best footage ever.
Good gosh. I thought your previous video was one of the best hunting vids I've watched in a long time. But THIS one was special. The viewer can tell the immense respect you had for Floppy. What a deer and what a fantastic job with the videography. Looking forward to more. Ya'll are one of my new favorites.
I think one of the biggest advantages that legendary buck had was that he was deaf which made his biggest strengths his smell mad e his ability to smell even stronger. What an amazing a smart buck. That shot was ballzy and a touch of luck. What an amazing shot! 🦌🦌
Congratulations! I was just telling a buddy about this deer from a previous video and we talked about how if you loose one of your senses, all of the rest of them become heightened! Know wonder he was hard to get!
That's an awesome deer with a really cool story with it reminds me of that Mitch guy's buck That had droopy ears too that would have possibly been the world record typical
To have a hunt last 3-4 years is pretty crazy. The longest I have ever had was 2. They don’t seem to last too long in public and even on private they just vanish. Seemed he limped a bit I wonder if the ears were a birth defect? Such a crazy buck.
Appreciate the story, why do you keep grunting at him when you know that he is deaf or very, very hard of hearing? I guess just habits we all have and get locked in at the moment. Love watching your videos
When a buck is deaf you can always do the smart thing play the wind and sneak up on him to his bedding area and if he is standing still broad side no matter how much noise you make I know cause my cousin is completely deaf and no matter what noise you make he can't hear it at all I learned alot about deaf ppl and deaf animals and i used to have a deaf boxer.
He probably wasn’t deaf. This is common in Texas. Usually what happened was he was born during a heavy freeze which caused frost bite to his ears and that’s the outcome
South Ms. you never see a mature buck like that out in an open field. If you find a 5 to 7 yr old buck and pinpoint him and then kill him you can kill any animal on the planet. Hardest deer to hunt period. Nice buck dude.
He's not smart at all, and even deaf. Still took you rookies 3 years to kill him. Floppy says, these are the dumbest hunters I've ever been hunted by. I agree floppy
Amazing story I've been after the same buck for now this year was the third year but he disappeared. Had him on camera for 2 years trying to kill him. Came into this year super excited and I never got a pic of them I don't know if he's dead moved on to a different property or what but I haven't had a picture of him now for almost a year last December is the last time I had a picture of him makes me sad.
Do you not agree that that was 1 inch from hitting that deer in a non-lethal spot, where it would’ve just been wounded and not found? Shots from that distance if any should be on a deer that’s not aware of your prescence and/or not staring right at you. It was very obvious before the shot took place the deer would jump the string in my opinion.

Really appreciate this! Thanks so much!

Really appreciate it! Thank you for the kind words.

@coastalHighCountry really appreciate this! This means a lot and thankful for the support!
Loved the respect, video editing and the story for this old warrior of the woods! Looking forward to the next one… and a huge congratulations to you!
Awesome deer and story Mike!
Thanks!
I love how he was deaf, but not deaf enough to not jump your string. Deer are truly amazing.
Makes me think he saw the arrow mid flight.
Very cool Mike!! Great shot!
Thank you!
Dude that first buck of your boys had such awesome facial markings!
For not being able to hear he still had a very good reaction time!
This was an awesome story! I'm so glad you got him now it's time to find a new one to chase.
Beautifully told story, congrats on a monarch of a whitetail!

Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Awesome shot and get to share with friend live
Such a cool buck and I love it when the mic picks up your heartbeat. What caused his ears to be like that?
No clue!
Oh Deer ,Great shot,,Wondering if you found his yearly sheds!!!
That's an awesome deer with a really cool story with it reminds me of that Mitch guy's buck That had droopy ears too that would have possibly been the world record typical
Awesome story dude and you can’t go wrong with some Guido’s pizza after a cold evening in the stand.
No doubt! Appreciate the watch!
When they lose one sense it seems their other senses become heightened, pretty cool
Definitely!
bitter sweet congrats !

Its certainly rare for them to make it to that age! That's what makes bucks like Floppy so much fun to hunt. The Challenge is a rarity!
Them stories like that can get in a man's feelings
No doubt!
Awesome

DAAAAANG HERO! YOU FLOPPED FLOPPY AT 60 YARDS!!!!
They think he is deaf and then ducks the shot LOL
Lol
He probably wasn’t deaf. This is common in Texas. Usually what happened was he was born during a heavy freeze which caused frost bite to his ears and that’s the outcome
Broad daylight in a food plot wow!!!!
Grunting to a deaf deer is definitely a strategy lol
A desperate one at that! 😂
@ no judgement, I have a deaf dog and try to talk to him daily 😂
Go Team Bowtech!!!!!
🙌
Did you add the sound, or is that your actual heart beating before during and after the shot???
That was 100% real! Crazy!
Poor handicap Floppy 😂😂😂😂😂
Well... This deer is Rompala AF!
If he was deaf, how did he jump the string?
Turns out he wasn’t entirely deaf!
Those nap killzones are one bad to the bone broadheads
This was the G5 MegaMeat!
What a shot holy shit
South Ms. you never see a mature buck like that out in an open field. If you find a 5 to 7 yr old buck and pinpoint him and then kill him you can kill any animal on the planet. Hardest deer to hunt period. Nice buck dude.
Thanks! This is a very small foodplot between two thick areas of timber which he didn’t leave often but the rut got the best of him.
Wonder what his injury is from?
We never did figure it out!
BFD big floppy down
He's not smart at all, and even deaf. Still took you rookies 3 years to kill him. Floppy says, these are the dumbest hunters I've ever been hunted by. I agree floppy

Dang hopefully he shows! He definitely might’ve moved too. Sometimes they do that when they get old. Good luck the rest of this Fall!
Must be fake, everyone said the Rompola buck was fake because it had floppy ears....
🤣🤣
Deaf deer yet you try and rattle him in lol
What an irresponsible shot on such an awesome animal? Thankfully it didn’t just wound him. Your lucky
@kevin Johnson irresponsible? Mike practices at this distance and further year round. He’s confident in his ability and his archery setup.

@@progolfer96 which is why I aimed low anticipating the duck. The deer expired in seconds. Just like playing the wind in your golf game 😉
Why do you take so long to go and get the deer ?
Waiting for the family.
Still setting up?you got too much gear fella.
😅 lugging all this cam gear around is too much gear!
