I am getting ready to build one of these for my vining garden plants. I have been looking at a ton of content on how to do this correctly. This is by far the best video and easiest to understand.
I built my cattle panel trellises with raised bed boxes inside and plan to cover the trellis with plastic and use it as a greenhouse over the winter months.
I have watched numerous cattle panel arched trellis videos and your approach is the simplest and most sensible. Figuring on using zip ties though. Thanks for the short, informative video.
God bless you my friend, you are the first one who showed and teaches us how to use the third t post to save two extra two t post , awesome idea . Thank you 🙏 Shafi. Houston. Texas.
Finally got some time to stop over and check what you all are doing in your neck of the woods. I have considered for a few years doing this in my garden. Think you sold me on it. Have a blessed day.
You won’t regret it trust me. We have used it to grow so many different plants and have even more plan this year. We will definitely be using this method in other areas of our garden when we expand it.
Yes we use this for our long beans last year and they did amazing for us. We never thought about getting material or supplies up that way. I pray you can find them and at a good price as well. Jesus bless you!!
The South works best if I want sunshine on both sides. But the East West works great for one side being more partial shade crops and the other side getting full sun
I want to do this over our 2 raised beds. Good to know about the tool! This is our first time to plant using a trellis. Will you plant under the trellis and let the plants run up and over, or will you also let plants on the outside run up the trellis?
We will plant vining crops like squash, indeterminate tomatoes, and long beans on the outside. Then we will will grow crops like lettuces, calendula, marigolds. And herbs on the inside of the trellis :) partial shade plants are better to grow on the inner sides
How tall did that end up being? I'm about to pull the trigger on this idea but just started to consider I might do better with a 16' and 8' ft panel, then link them so my arch is higher but im nervous about how hard it will be and whether it will still look nice. I want to grow dipper gourds and fill in with pole beans.
We love the bigger panels for gourds! 16ft panels will give you enough room to walk through comfortably even with the dipper gourds. Nathan is 6ft and can walk through the bent over 16ft panels even when there are vines everywhere.
Hey good job bro IN bending those cattle panels on the inside rather than the outside at least they stay up for you and it's not such a pain in the neck tying em up!! Like!!

Oh that’s really smart and a great way to expand your growing area and season.

You’re welcome! Hope you have an awesome growing season
Zip ties(plastic) ultimately FAIL. This has been my experience. Go back and use metal zip ties or wire!
@@industrialathlete6096 No way. The zip ties are working fine.
This was awesome. And seems simple enough. I thank you for this share
You’re very welcome !
I so love how you guys just do it! Not perfect is my style. WTG. Looks great. Blessings!
Thank you so much! Haha!
Great video! Thanks for posting it. We're planning a hoop trellis this year and this helps a lot!
I’m so glad! You will love growing plants on a trellis!
I am honored to be one of your subscribers and brother in the Lord.
Thank you so much for such a kind comment, and your continued support. God bless you!
We're going to be pulling together 40 get of tunnel. Should be a great addition to our garden!
Wow! Sounds amazing
Thank you brother your boys helped me tremendously. Y'all be blessed

I'm constantly building trellises, I like this idea 🤩 Thanks for sharing!
Haha yes!! Us as well, I’ve had plants crawling up all sorts of things. These are pricier but such an investment
Just bought ours today. Looking forward to installing. Thanks for the video. God bless!
You’re very welcome! It will sure do well for you. You’ll want more before you know it lol
@@JesusLovingHomesteader I already have another one planned. This is just the experiment one😁. I can’t wait to plant the Maypop to grow on it.
@@patientlywaiting9030 ohhhh that’s exciting! I’ve always wanted to add passionflower to the garden!
Brilliant idea, I will definitely try that method.
Thank you so much for watching
Thanks for clearly explaining the steps. Great video
You’re welcome

We will be doing something similar to this, watching yours come together makes me look forward to doing ours! Great video!
I am thankful it helped you out. You won’t regret putting it together and I pray that you have a great harvest from it!
Great Video 🎉
Thank you
@@JesusLovingHomesteader You're welcome 😁
We love ours and plan on extending them this year. God bless brother.
Yes we extended one of ours and then built this. We really enjoy the look of them and durability as well.
I like the concept of a trellis like this. It puts everything where you can reach it without the back aching method of bending over.
Yes, we definitely agree, we’ve had our children harvest for us, with this method. Very thankful for it doubling as A tunnel as well.
Thanks for the tutorial. I like the fancy tool
Yes that tool has helped me so much! I bought it last year whenever we were building the first one and I am very thankful I did.
That looks great! Your garden will be awesome this year between those and all that compost! Maybe the trellis will even tame the loofahs! 😁
Haha! This trellis will actually be used for tomatoes and long beans. I may grow loofah on the other side of the yard :)
What a great idea! I'm gonna see if I can find cattle panels up here, because I'd like to do that for some runner beans! God bless yall!

Great video! We've used these before and they work great!
Agreed, such a great investment
Very informative, thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome
Thank you, now I know how to do mine
So glad we could help
Those look great!
Thank you
i see the wood chips that is good to see God bless
Yes we just moved about 10 yards of mulch in our garden today. We love the back to Eden method and it works really well for us.
love this video 👍 Blessings 🌹
Thank you so much!
What color should the cattle panel trellises be? Also amazing job with the demo.
Ours are silver
Lovely video and channel, have a lovely week ahead and stay safe debs xx new fan ....
Thank you so much! You as well
Looks good.
Thank you
New subscriber here. GREAT video. We are planning on updating our garden this season.
Thank you for subscribing and it’s always exciting whenever you update or extend your garden! Jesus bless y’all.
I like 2 little boys, big help thumb up
We are thankful for all of the help we receive from the children
New subscriber. Right back at'cha. Thanks for the support.
Can you tell me how deep you put the posts in the ground? I’d appreciate it. Thanks
Maybe a Foot
Thanks for the informative video .
Where do you buy the cattle panel trellis?
We live in San Antonio, Texas
We purchased ours at Tractor Supply
Your set-up looks great can you grow beans on one side and tomatoes on the other side ?
Yes this year we also grew beans on that trellis!
Thanks for the video, You explain it real well. Which orientation worked best for you? North / South or East / West?
The South works best if I want sunshine on both sides. But the East West works great for one side being more partial shade crops and the other side getting full sun

QUESTION: what gauge are the panels, and do you have a source that takes online orders ?
What's guage/thickness is the wire on the panels?
The cattle panels are 4 gauge wire galvanized before welding. They are the 16 ft. X 50 in cattle panels.
@@JesusLovingHomesteader Thanks.

Man ít looks easy when you did it😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much
As a Jesus lover, I love the name of your site! I’m thinking of trying this this year. Do you plant on the inside or outside of the trellis?
I’ve actually done both ways :) I like the outside better so it’s easier to walk through
One I missed earlier.
tip - pull a string to align your t-posts in a straight line
Smart! Thank you
I'm intrigued, can you elaborate more?😊
Where did you get cattle panel ?
Tractor Supply, but most feed stores have them
How high is the arch to the ground?
This is a 16ft Cattle Panel
@@JesusLovingHomesteader16ft long,right? So how wide?
@@nokko-777 our cattle panels are 16ft by 4ft I believe
🙌
👍👍😊
If you actually measured it you could have made your job easier. Preparation pays off in the end.
Thank you for your advice. 🌸
Use zip ties
Yes a lot cheaper!!!
What size of cattle panels you use?

Thanks I appreciate ,it’s definitely worked easier for us
