  • ...but we did it anyway. Apparently you can drive through Yosemite to get to the other side so that's what we did. Priscilla looked up an awesome jumping rock at Rainbow Falls and we found some trails that led to exactly where we wanted to go.

Travel Maass your travel vlogs are so fun. I got a kick out of this one in particular- showing what happened inside the trailer when you guys hit some rough road. I instantly thought of a movie called The Long Long Trailer- the wife was inside trying to make dinner while her husband was driving and pots, pans, food, everything was a hot mess by the time they fully stopped. Have a great week guys!!

Loved this video, it was amazing to watch everyone’s reaction to all that you have seen on this trip. I have a thought, the next long trip you go on, pick up a Little Rock maybe the size of a silver dollar. Number them as you go from state to state. When you all get home, it would be a great art project for Abbie to paint each one. Then you can surround your Koi Pond. Just an idea. Thank you all so much for sharing your life with us. Love to you all, Nana from NY ❤️🙏

When Yosemite valley is full you can go to Twalamine Meadows, Kings Canyon Red Woods, or Big Sur River. I know you are already done with the Yosemite area but maybe next time.
When we did family camping in the late 90s/2000s our parents and friends had to call one year in advance when the reservation systems opened and we were on hold for hours!!! Definitely before call centers and multi line business ops!
We stayed at Emerald Bay all the time! It is our favorite camp ground!
We would go from our home in SoCal and travel up the coast, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Lake Shasta, Sacramento and then home from there.

When 4 wheel driving in the bush in Australia we usually carry a chain saw and have a winch so we can clear the road of fallen trees. They are particularly useful when you’re on the side of a mountain and there’s no room to turn around. We also carry recovery gear such as snatch straps, chains, pulleys and tree protectors so you can pull yourself back up if you happen to slide off the edge of the road. We also usually drive in convoy with friends who can help out in an emergency. You would love it 😉.

You went up the new Priest Grade. I’m happy you didn’t go up the Old Priest Grade. There’s no guard rails and the edge of the road is scary close. When I was young, the new grade hadn’t been started. My father would drive a station wagon with three on the tree, two canoes on top, and a trailer. It was so scary I used to slide down to the floorboard behind dad. I should have warned you to get the pass. It’s a thing now. Used to be you could buy the National Park Pass there at the ranger station.
I thrilled you liked the area I grew up in. I started crying at Half Dome, El Capitan, the Tunnel. You almost stopped at one of the prettiest views of Yosemite at Look Out Stop. It’s where you get the first look at the monuments. Rainbow falls was a favorite swimming hole. Sorry you couldn’t see bridalveil falls.
I am thrilled that you all stayed in the prettiest place in California and didn’t go for the LA area. You wouldn’t be impressed. However, the missions and Death Valley are so cool.

But… Pricilla… if you have puckering happening with that… you’ll for sure need a blindfold for Glacier Park… it’s the most amazing place on earth… but I’m a not too well traveled out of the country girl… but as far as a National Park gets the top of the list…. It’s just a testy place to plan around because of the weather up there can close the road late summer and not open into June… all of July is the safest bet… fantastic for motorcycles

My heart is still pounding and my hands are still shaky even though I am at least 3 minutes past the part where you were turning around and the tire looked like it was going off the side of the hill. I live only 30ish min from the Smokey Mtns, in Knoxville, TN, so I go to the Mountains at least once a month and I have been doing so literally my entire life. Wrecking and going off the edge on the roads there has always been my biggest fear. I absolutely love it there but i do get terrible anxiety driving on the roads, and riding with someone else driving causes full on panic attacks that make me feel like I'm having a massive heart attack so that's not even an option anymore.
I guess the point in this ridiculously long comment was to say that I'm glad you guys didn't go off the edge, LOL.

Those dead, downed trees have been attacked by a bark beetle and killed. They cut them and haul them out to try to prevent the spread of the devastation. It needs to be below -0- Fahrenheit for over three months consecutively to kill the beetles. Most areas warm between storms into the teens, 20's and sometimes 30's during the day. If we can't eliminate them, California's beautiful forests will be destroyed. It's also one of the reasons why the fires have burned so hot and destructively. Glad you got here while some trees still exist! Also, the ground cover need to be cleaned and excess removed to prevent fires.

Do the states have forms for people that have disabilities that you can get from a Ministry Office and then the person that has the disabilities can camp for free and they can have up to 4 adults on the form. They have it here in Victoria BC Canada

@@dearleah7299 She is not your daughter either Leah so why not back off and let her parents respond? It is people like you who make me unsubscribe from channels like this. The youtubers put their business out there and someone comments on it (most people have asked politely about it) and then people like you come along being rude and obnoxious on the youtuber's behalf whether they want you to or not. have you ever considered the possibility that they can answer (or not) all on their own and they may not want you chasing off their followers?
