- We turned the mysterious hole in the patio into a lovely area for our new DIY fire pit. There's just something about a wood burning fire that soothes the soul.

The fire pit looks amazing! Love it! Great job! It looks very similar to the one my brother made in S. Fl near his pool. When I visited 2 months ago we sat out there every night drinking🍷 after watching sunset, sure miss that.
That's looks awesome! Always thought a fire pit was needed back there. When you guys have the lights on around the pool at night it looks so awesome and needed a fire feature. Can't wait for the pond expansion, that's going to be a big job.

It thinks it’s an extension from the “flower bed” to the right of it and it was in the way so they took the flowers/shrubs out and covered it

Its bodies with buried treasure underneath all of which is there because plumbing issue from the pool caused them to remove the concrete!
Well you might have to return the gravel.
But if it was a plumbing issue (which I have chosen as the most plausible but boring cause) why is the brick trimmed around it??? I am changing my answer to something much more intriguing 🤔 I haven't decided what that is yet 😂
I have a pit about that close to my pool and you’ll hate it! Embers will blow into the pool and be a mess! I wish I would’ve know!!! Cilla should help poor Asa more!! He works so hard!!!!
Don't be so negative and mean to Cilla! She has her jobs and these are his fun things to do in the yard. She also probably taking care of Abbie.
What you didn’t see for obvious reasons was her carrying in the big blocks from the back of the truck in her pajamas. Her flowery pjs with leather work gloves were pretty cute but for my eyes only.

Watched the entire video, loved it. The fire pit is gorgeous. There’s something so mesmerising about sitting and watching the flames dance, I think it’s one of those things that truly allows you to relax😊

You probably know this because you are smarter than me, but just FYI - we got those same bricks to put around my friends firepit that we built, and they all broke apart after a few years. Granted, we were stupid and reckless and had giant bonfires with intense heat multiple times (we would burn giant wooden spools that my friend would get from his job running cable, and there was even one time where we decided to burn a recliner...yes, you read that right lol), so you will probably not have that issue. But...just wanted to give you a heads up! 😂😂
Thanks Asa! I was in the process of building my fire pit and had the bricks spaced out already and had bought a ring insert, but I like your idea so much better. Just hit up Lowe’s and brought my fire pit home. I’m a little stressed about the loose spacing on the bricks but I’m pretty sure I’ll get over it. 🤣🤣🤣
Are you going to reuse the wood you pulled up before doing this project. I mean I know it'll burn pretty quickly, but it's free wood??💞💞 Love these projects.

I am the supervisor of the job usually. Could the spot have been something to do with their plans to make the garage apartment into a kitchenette with the washroom?

or the actual answer is it was part of the flower bed and then the next owner wanted to make the poolside bigger and lose the bed, that centering really is making me lose it, kind of want to throw you in pool so you do it properly ( I know it cant be but ahhhhh)

Sure I did. Level with paver base, add pavers and level them one at a time, add paver sand, sweep in, water down, add paver sand again. The fire pit is just stacked blocks. Everything I did was included in the video. What else would you like to know?
