Thanks so much for all your FREE LESSONS DIRTY!! can you help me with indoor and outdoor wheels whenever you find time? Thanks again for EVERYTHING!!!!
Can you do crossover again for beginners. I've practice the one in your old video but still couldn't get it. I also developed knees problem after practicing them a lot 😂 when I do the pushing. However, I don't have rink or smooth surface, so I practiced in gravel road, maybe that contribute to knee pains too
I'm watching all the way from the UK, love how you break everything down and make it simple to understand, your a great teacher😊 im waiting for my new skates to come so I can get practicing everything iv learned from you ❤
Really enjoyed today's video. I lived on skates as a child. Haven't been on skates since my mid fifties...no Grandma didn't fall.Am 79 now. Keep up the good work. From Tennessee
Love this…especially the tips and reasons why it’s important while skating backwards in a crowd. I’ve Been that person incapable of moving out of people’s way, and that person not paying attention and almost running into someone. Thank goodness the more seasoned skaters knew how to get around me😆
You are AWESOME! I am in my 50s and just got back into skating with my grandchildren... I skated years ago but was mainly concentrated on just staying vertical... The way you breakdown each movement and why it should be done a certain way makes me feel so confident... I've watched all 11 lessons and I'm ready to put them in action one step at a time... My grandchildren will be shocked to see my new moves... Thank you so much! 😊 🤗
Loved this one. Sometimes I don’t even know what can be done on skates until it’s explained and I see it. It’s similar to the Lindy Hop twist, especially going backwards
Love your cheeky vibe today Deb 😜- you're so comfortable in front of the camera, especially compared to your first videos (which are still equally as awesome!) I'll practice this today! I'd love a video on a "routine" or string of travelling /cornering techniques that I can use to complete a revolution of the rink. You did a great one, "Footwork around the Corner" but I'd love to add onto this and have a practice routine that can take me around the whole circle. 😍
Absolutely love that kind of tutorial ! As a beginner we tend to learn complicated things because that's what's on internet but without the fundamentals it doesn't make sense most of the time. Also it helps us structure our pratice instead of going in every directions ! Thanks !!
thanks for giving all the tiny details😂! It helps me so much to know what to knit pick my body about. I just watch this whole playlist (at 2x speed) and it was great. Thanks for the awesome energy as well! I want to request a video on the specifics of how to continuously look backwards while skating. I feel like I see people doing this! Thanks again!
I just watched a video from a year ago and you look awesome I love your vibe and your lessons I just started roller skating again since I’m 43 and stopped in late teenaged years lol and I love love how I feel roller skating specially with 90s music playing in the background 😀
I love your videos, they are so helpful, thanks Debbie for putting in the work! I started to learn how to roller skate some weekends ago and most of it is through trial and error until now and I only practiced on the weekends, but your videos help to motivate me to practice more and try specific stuff. Sadly I don't have much space to practice, because I live on a hill and the rooms in the house either have carpet in them or there is just no space :( At least I can practice on the weekends somewhere else and actually try some stuff
These videos help so much!!!! Lost all confidence a while back because I thought I killed a girl! Skating along and she darts out in front of me a 280 lbs man who lacked in much needed stopping skills. Long story short she’s ok and I’ve gotten much better at stopping thanks to you ma’am!!!
Can we have some more content about the different equipment setups for different purposes (outdoor/indoor wheels, bearings, trucks, toe stops) and maintenance. I have watched previous videos but feel like something isn’t clicking for me. I learn something new from every video, so thank you so much for this content! I haven’t been able to practice often (weather, limited access to safe places to skate outdoors and in), but I’m better every time I get to hit the floor or the pavement thanks to you!
It seems I skate backwards more than forwards but I am guilty of not trying these maneuvers.... They will be practiced the next time I am at the rink. Thank you Debbie !
I'd Love to see your favorite skates & listen to you discuss each of their parts (boots, plates, bushings, wheels, bearings, etc.) & why you enjoy each of those parts on each set of skates for what you are trying to accomplish while wearing each. There's never enough of my favorite skaters doing this on their pages, & I'd be so very grateful to have you explaining your favorite skates with us in a video! Thank You for considering, DDH! 🥰👣💞💫🛼🛼👣💞💫🛼🛼🥰
1000 Dank to you from Hamburg, Germany! I've learned a lot already! One thing that still seems difficult for me is scating outside, where my wheels do not flip over the ground like indoors & the ground goes a bit up or down like long waves, so I have to think more about how to stop or reduce speed! Maybe you would like to make a lesson about that outdoor-speacialities? Warm greetings🙋♀️holly
Thanks to the vídeo!💞 Could you do a vídeo about one foot techniques? Everything I want to learn depends on how to know this basic one...🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️💫
That is totally where I go wrong every time... I must have had grippy wheels on the rental skates. As an ice skater, I'm used to sliding on ice. I don't like my blades overly sharp so they have less grab on ice. So, I can keep my feet flat on the ice and turn wherever I want, by sliding out my heels. When I was on roller skates at the rink, I kept my foot down and went to do a slide turn... I thought I was gonna die. I blacked out, cause the next thing I knew I was sitting down on the rink floor. I didn't recall going down. Just that I was skating backwards, and I went to slide my heels to turn... And the skates said, not today, sucka!!!
I’ve been watching some of your old videos and really enjoy your content. I just ordered skates online and getting them today in part due to your videos. I have always been curious but do you own that skate rink? I’d love to see a video of you talking about how you got into skating if you haven’t already.
Ok,so if you do not use toe stops, you need to master weight transfer, bent knees, and Tstops, hockey stop variations. At the same time, you have to move head, shoulders, then hips, because you travel where you look. I teach students to learn a reverse T or hockey stop variation because much of the time you do not have room to swing into a new line. REar leg acts as a rudder and always have your head up and pointed the same direction you are going. Always assume that people will not see you nor get out of the way...

This is why I need roller skates my family tree has gone bye bye lately.
What are some good wheels for sliding a little easier? I have roller ones 101A and it’s cool for going fast but now I wanna do a little more.
Sure Grip Original phenolics
Are you using your edges in any significant manner when executing these maneuvers? Especially going backwards.
Great question! Inside edges on the foot that stays on the ground.
@@Dirtydeborahharry Thank you 😊
What magic is this?! Must be that Staff of Avoidance you have there. Where can I get one of those?
Hi , is it possible to do some begginer artistic tutorials for starting out in artistic skating its hard trying to find stuff online :) thanks

How can I learn to skate foot over foot?
Can 85a considers as indoor wheels? (Bont Glo wheels)
You can wear them Indoors but they are considered a hybrid wheel. They will be a bit slow indoors
@@Dirtydeborahharry thanks Dirty!
