I just returned my TCL q7 yesterday for this tv and I’m pleased to say that it is definitely more premium and looks incredible for 800 dollars but I admittedly got it on sale for 599
I currently have a 55u8H and it's starting to get dim splotches through the middle of the TV... Anyway, we decided to go ahead and upgrade to the Hisense 65U7N today. It has everything last years U8 had, plus the 1,500 nits peak brightness and we are completely happy with how bright the U8H is that it should be better with all the new features of the 65U7N. Says we'll get it between Friday and Monday and I have both PS5 and an Xbox series X, along with a Denon AVR with all the 8k upgrades, VRR, ALLM, and 3 inputs for 120hz. So, I think I'm really ready for this TV to complete our living/gaming room. 🖖😎👍🍻
I just bought this for 599! I've usually associated Hisense with low quality. I took a chance with this one, and I'm pleasantly surprised! It replaced my LG C1 because I had burned in with it, and I like it better than the LG In almost every way. Are it's blacks as deep,? No. Do I notice a huge difference? Not at all, especially for that price
I originally purchased the 85 U6 mini led for 1200 but at a 2nd best buy I saw the U7 and luckily cancelled my first order and paid the extra 300 for the U7. What a difference. Tv is stunning. You'd have a hard time believing that its not OLED
I just got TCL QM7 55 it's a nice tv. It gets nuclear bright and the colors ✨️. I got it for 529 after tax, and it's a steal for what it does. I'd like to see a comparison video of the two since they're similar in price and tech.
Same I just got the TCL QM7 55 and it’s amazing. Only thing that slightly annoys me is the reflection on the screen because it’s pretty glossy.. Was contemplating switching it out for the u7n but Im not sure if it’s even worth it to switch
Wow KG I must admit this Hisense TV looks damn good for the money. Any average consumer would be totally satisfied with a TV like this. Heck I would even buy one and think I would like it very much 1500 nits on a TV at this level is crazy. Plus this year it's Miniled..😊
U7K had the same number of dimming zones - 240 for 55" while the U8K for the same size had 672 (source - RTINGS). How much do you think the contrast and zone transition have improved YoY? Please make a side-by-side with these models which will tell us the full story.
I picked up a 75 inch U7N. The colors are great but Im using a Roku and whenever i chose the HDR picture setting it starts showing flickering lines. I have to keep it on filmmaker mode to make it stop but using the google apps built in it doesnt do it. Hopefully they fix that glitch but overall im loving it. And also the speakers arent that great as people say they are. Definifely would add the soundbar to get a fuller audio.
I'd like to know how the U7N compares to the U8K at the same size if they are on sale for the same price, such as is the processing improved over last year?
Based on what he said the processing is better. He liked the way the auto dynamic contrast looked and found the hdr impactful. The motion had small issues, but hisense has improved every year with that.
processing is similar to the U8K and I think the U8K still edges it out due to a higher number of dimming zones so if you are buying right now at this moment if they are the same exact price.
I would have been very happy with the U7k, but "they" spiked the price on it from $479 to now just under $6...so yes the AI tv monitoring profmance and back lighting does make it the best choice given its now only slightly more $. Frankly, my old Hisense is almost too bright. And so brightness isn't the issue or one of. Overall I'm looking for sharper image overall for SDR and HDR and general audio quality. Other than that I can't miss what I don't have or know.
Does it do a pretty good job of upscaling lower quality content, such as older games and such? I play a lot of PS3 games still so I'm very curious. I seen on Rtings that the U8N's upscaling was rated lower than the U7N so I'm really interested in knowing you're thoughts on that. Thanks for the in depth video!
@@giotorres9848 They haven't been close for a few years. The g1 and c1 were literally the same TV with firmware holding back the c1 (if you had an evo panel) The g2 added a heatsink so it was noticeably brighter. The g3 has a heatsink, MLA and deeper colors to help keep up with QD OLED the g4 has everything the g3 has, plus the newest processor which is ONLY found in the g4 This year there is more a difference than ever before. The g4 is a legit step up and you're paying for real features that matter.
Thank you for your video. Do you think the U7N will be good for normal PC productivity use (no gaming). I'm looking to buy a 55inch TV instead of a monitor and my use case is just reading documents, coding and watching videos. Does it have chroma 4:4:4 and RGB subsampling? Is the text being displayed clear?
I know many people have asked already but right now i can purchase the u7n at $100 less than u8k. $599 vs $699. Is it still worth going for the u8k? Im looking at the 55" tvs
If we compared u7n with sony x90l for gaming, which one will give me a great experience? and ihave noticed in minute 2:58 the image is like washed out.
Is this really google tv in the HISENSE? or just a bunch of apps in vidaa. There is no way i can find google play, or the settings that are in my other tv that uses googlechrome googe tv dongle. So I can't download my vpn apps, speed tests, clocks, movie sites, RDebrid, Kodi etc etc etc.. and even the picture quality isn't that good when its meant to be topline. Settings are few. Where is the AI, the dolby etc..
i keep seeing mixed comments about the u8k still being better and i just bought this tv as my previous tv went out on me which was a cheaper samsung un50nu6900f..... There weren't any u8k's in my area save for 1 open box floor model from best buy for about the same price as the u7n brand new (sale so got it for $599) and i am leery of open box models. The u8n was 800 bucks and out of my budget. did i make a mistake? or is this still gonna be better then what i had. It's primary use would be for pc gaming.
I don’t think so you saved $200 stayed within your set budget and got a TV that’s a year newer and is be new unopened. U8K has more physical dimming zones but other than that they are pretty similar in specs should be about equal for PC.
I have the older U8H (132 dimming zones) and recently bought the U7k for $479. Let me tell you how disappointed I am from it. I figured on paper it was better but the picture doesn’t even come close. Now I’m going to return it this weekend and either get the U8k for $699 or wait for the new U8N to go on sale since the U7N is $150 off at $649. When I compared both side by size the older U8H was far sharper and better color. The U7K looks soft kinda fuzzy and blacks are worse. I thought it be better because the more dimming zones it has but no it was far worse. Also it’s laggy. Does anyone know if the U7k and U8k use different processors?
@@foss-z8d is there any other reason why the U7k picture looks so much more fuzzy compared to the to my older U8G? It almost looks like it’s stuck on 1080p or something. Is better than last year u8k or no and I’m talking about overall, not just local dimming zone that I know it has less but in terms of processing colors etc…?
@@TechWithKG so if is close do you recommend buying the u7n instead? I just found one a couple dollars cheaper than the u8k, my concern is buying the u8k and then realize that the u7n was technically an u8k with better things, I really don't know what to do.
