@commendatore2516lol, I can surmise 99% chance you won't get a reply. You seem to have spoilt the spirit of the expert by saying ' 'you know things or 2 about TVs' that seems like a contemptuous way of approaching an expert for consultation for a noob's job. It's like you approaching a Harvard computer science professor and asking that person which laptop you should buy, or an accomplished mathematician to ask, 'hey can you solve my kid's grade 4 math problem?'
@commendatore2516omg dude thoes are 2022 very VERY VERY VERY BLOOMING, LEDS. N all of them with -MATTTED screen. Nooooooooooo. The x89 will be better if u really want SONY its like okay fore example Imagine IPhone XR n XE, thats like 2021-2022 model, n they are trying to sell it to u in 2024. WILL U BUY THAT!?? Dude. Looking OUT FOR U. NOOOOO. They all have Significant Blooming, low color volume. VERY low in 2024 . Like VERY LOW, and dim. A low Color volume n dim is like --having laser tv projecting on the wall/screen thinking “why so dim so low color”. So x89K can pass as like Decent. But like NOT SONY PRICE. NOOOOOOOOO. LAST 2 yrs, TV technology in 2 yrs has advanced equivalent of like 5-8 yrs. Its has the highest advancement of TV technology last like 10-15 yrs. The 2 yr ago low end SONY is REALY TV to AVOID in 2024. U will be paying 2X n 3X price getting a panel that look significantly worse than $500-600 tv in 2024.
@commendatore2516 hey yeah I have seen x90K its BAD. 2022 SONY models were the worst because that year the SONY models even the X95K had Significant Blooming. N each tier down sevelry more n . All the panels are Blue pale tinted. They have diff technolgy.
@commendatore2516 hey SONY’s PREMIUM LEDS up till like 2015-2016s were good. Then the QLED company got bought out by Samsung . That Samsung own the pattern. the Hisense has own LED very identical to that Samsung QLED. So the SONY’s LED 2016 n forward till now are different. I was in your shoes long ago.
I have more respect for Hisense as a brand because of the way they responded to your feedback of their TV. They tried to address the issue rather than ban you from ever reviewing any of their future products like some other manufacturers do!
they also dont even know what panel type their tv sizes have, they told me the 85 inch u8k was ads panel it is not,im guessing the same error is there for the new tvs
What I love about you as a reviewer is you don't just get on here and bitch and whine, you tLk to the company, you document and give them time to address the issues. Thank you. I hope they add an update to show when you're watching hdr, dolby vision, imax, and filmmaker mode. I'm used to those reassuring pop ups from my previous tvs.
That's nice but unrealistic. 99% of consumers won't have the ability to call up Hisense (or any other manufacturer/brand) and have them rectify an issue with their tv.
I was looking at the UX 85" because the price dropped to $2887. Also, has Hisense released any firmware updates since you bought your TV? Is there anything you dislike about the UX?
I thinks it’s updated once or twice that I’ve noticed. Generally very happy with it, motion smoothing as mentioned in several reviews isn’t great for anything fast moving but I don’t watch football or anything, so it doesn’t bother me. I wish I could use the TV as a center channel output for my receiver like the Sony models can do, and I’d prefer if the remote was a little more premium feeling. I’ll replace my bedroom LG probably with a Hi-Sense too, due to the experience with the UX. I doubt it applies to you or anyone else reading this but where I am we’ve got a Hi-Sense store and the customer service was massively ahead of the other retailers.
A 98" UX had my ears perk up. It is fantastic that the TV Industry is having more competition from a technology and price consideration. A BIG Sony Fanboy here (85" Z9K) but brands like Hisense are making it more interesting and fun to think (or dream) about what the next upgrade/upsize will be.
Dude I was the FAN girl/woman till I bought Something $5000 other than SONY n cant go back now. Its like NEXT level. Once outside of that bubble its refreshing, my perception no longer strangle my own head :)
In 2010s early BEST SONY LEDs were MADE 100% by SHARP Aquos. Yes 100% SONY LEDs. Hisenses Bought SHARP Tv in 2015, has d SHARP LED Pattern that SONY cant touch. The QLED technology n SHARP XLED, Hisense ULED are all very similar. The SONY has pay Money to Samsung use those QLED n put in flagship. But Hisense HAS the comparable Technology already on their own they CAN produce THAT with best tech in massive scale. NO joke. I heard the UX testing lab still remaining in Japan somewhere . Those SHARP , Hisense Glorious natural vibrancy they are next level :)
@@Yoga_Tv_buying Like anything else it remains to be seen from Hisense or any brand when a company starts throwing out specs. Funny thing about Sony. Year in and Year out they have been rated best or next to best TV in VE's Shootout.
@@cooltuber1404yeah the Famous Shootout , that quickly being seen as the Infomercial “side by side “ display n quickly come up with conclusion . Black level also elevated if not tweaked . Both Samsung n Hisense in those modes not tweaked can look horandous . SONY Cinema mode or “Custom” they set , Sharpness they set them at 60% out of box ! 😮
Nice overview Caleb. ADS pro is good to hear for the U9N I think ADS is way better than the VA panels I see today, you can see that by the year to year panel change from other manufacturers. Also VA requires some coating to help off angle viewing and sometimes these coatings actually really hurt the viewing experience.
The U9N certainly looks the business for a TV at this price point be interesting to see its comparison against equivalent Samsung, LG and Sony models of the same price point Another great one Caleb
Decent side speakers ✔️ used to that on my Kuro, saves the expense of a soundbar. Now go one box so you only have to hide one cable, perfect wall mounter 👍
Caleb Denison, if you wanted to go to SID Display Week 2024, you ought to get ready and go there now! You haven't got long, it starts THIS coming Sunday! The fashion statement you made for this video looks PERFECT for SID Display Week 2024, stay in shape and get there and QUICK!
Very impressive picture quality. It slaps even watching this video on my phone. If the off angle viewing is good like you say, very important in my situation, I will consider this for a future purchase. Thanks as always.
I like the idea of the feature to drop the nits for better quality. Most tv's are too bright for me anyway, although I do like the option to increase nits. Spring is always fun when the new tv's start trickling out.
My future theater display is looking bright! Just 3 years ago the biggest was 86” and so my dad got an Epson short throw instead at 100” (max we could physically fit on the wall with speakers mounted on the sides) And it’s crazy to see how many large options there are now!
Just got a 65 inch U8K. The brightness it offers did not help my headache. I can't imagine how a 5,000 nit display would impact my headeaches. Back on the U8K, in my bright living room with all the lights on, there was no issue watching dark scences. Unlike my old TCL 55P605. The TCL is now in my office, where I can control the lighting. I also picked up the Klipsch Flexus Core 200 for the living room, my wife approved of the upgrade. I would like to get the sub at some point, but the sound range and vocal quality of the Flexus Core 200 is great.
Have you tried a backlight behind the TV? The backlight will help your eyes stay inside the box. Which means less eye movement. Less eye movement means less eye fatigue. Thus less headache. Not sure if that's what's going on. Just another thing to think about.
@@kristfur I can second your statement. I have govee's behind my TV and they massively improved the watch ability of all TV's I've used them on. I run the t2 with the m1's around my room, which I use in dreamview mode
First time I've heard Caleb endorse the IPS-ADS Pro panel over the VA. This is what I seen when I found out my U8K 75 had this panel but the more I watched, the more I noticed a sharper picture.
🎉Dude u were ahead of GAME. The ADS-PRO were way more premium than VA now. In China, i saw when 2 months ago when U8K having sales, all the price drop except d ADS-PRO 75” cuz its MORE premium. It was holding up like $1600-1700(sale) when North America were $1200 due to stiff compitition n ppl’s ill-informed opinion about the NEW n more advanced tech. They had a U8.5K type of thing launched in late Dec. which was crazy that the U8k 75” was around that U8KL (U8.5K level) around the SAME price. Cuz the 75” U8K were selling like HOT cakes even at that $1600-1700USD. Where I am at in Canada, they are still like $2000+ if aft tax n get 5 yr plan.
Thanks Caleb for the first look on these tvs. In Dec. I had the 85" 900C and the 85" UX and was quite pleased with the UX (got a much lower sale price than the 900C) I returned the UX only because they announced the 98" and 85" was too small for my 11' seating distance so looking forward to your content on this years 98" UX.
I have new 85 inch TV for a week now. Max. 9 foot away. It's to big. I dreamed about the experience and immersiveness, which is not there, at least not to extent what I wanted and expected. Especially with an ordinary broadcast program is a huge problem, which is expanded to the entire screen. Soccer looks terrible in sharpness of a video (broadcast 1080i). All is just to big and to blurry. 75" would be more suitable for me, maybe even 65 OLED for the same price? :( thinking about sending it back.
@@sasoesasoe dude sorry for that . Since I took some science I university. That our professor taught us n Warned us ! It’s not TV fault ! It’s too close !!! IMAX first row !!!
EDITED TO FIX OFF AXIS TYPO!! The U9 looks really great and very bright! The ADS Pro panel answered my question about off axis viewing. This should be an amazing TV. Great First Impression video! Thanks for an interesting and newsy video, Caleb!
@@Sas-wk9lj sometimes I do watch off axis!! Last tv I had, an old Samsung lcd tv, just sitting on the side of my couch rather than the middle was off axis and the couch isn’t even that long. I just fixed my typo. Thanks!
@@Sas-wk9lj no I was talking about my PRIOR TV. An old Samsung. So I am well aware of poor off axis viewing. My current TVs are now both OLED (A95K and A80L), so this is no longer an issue. But I note the off axis because it can definitely be an issue with mini LED TVs!
I love my U8N 65in... It's next to my LG C2 (I use for gaming that I want to upgrade to G4) and the U8N it beautiful for movies and general use. It so bright but not ridiculous and really sucks you into movies.
Bought the U8K 75" back in December and loving the ADS Pro panel except certain dark scenes in movies and shows it struggles a bit. It could just be the low bit rate of the stream. Also some streaming apps are not performing well with black levels but for those apps I use my Xbox Series S and everything is fine.
@@x102reddragon ADS panels are improved IPS panels. They have better contrast, color and reliability. ADS Pro are improved ADS panels. I have read that they have almost double the native contrast (2000/1) of the first generation ADS panels. Of course with mini-leds and local dimming this result in a lot better contrast that are good enough to rival VA panels' contrast. On top of this ADS panels display better colors and have wide viewing angles.
Because of Caleb we have the 75 u8k with the ads Panel, we use it with firetv Stick 4k max over a year and i Love the TV. Sometimes its so bright i have to squint my eyes. No Problems at all. Greetings from Germany!
I love my U8K except for the problem where every 2 months it drops channels and replaces it with with the channel that doesn't match the guid. Then requires you to unplug it to fix it. I yelled at the channel company before i figured that out. I'd get a new one but they are almost double in price for the U8N 😢
Thank you for mentioning that you will compare other manufacturers displays to the UN9 when they become available to you. As always I’m concerned about offering my clients the best value in any display I recommend. The Hisense reviews have been relatively faultless, I’m extremely interested in the juxtaposition in value and performance to the Samsung 85 QN90D and the 85inch Bravia 9, both of which are considerably more expensive than the U9. Keeping my fingers crossed there is a compelling reason to spend the additional money Thank you for your work.
Hisense is the best I just upgraded the Hisense series 4 4k I got in 2015 to the Hisense u8 and I’m loving a lot… and the other is still working 9 years later … so I’m guessing this u8 will be fine .
My Hisense U7 lasted about 18 months then the screen started going dark, then lots of vertical lines. When I tried all the fixes mentioned on UA-cam it occurred to me that many others experienced the same issue. Apparently I have to get a new cable or maybe a circuit board, then open up the back and replace these items. Why should I have to purchase parts and repair the tv when it is less than two years old? I just purchased an LG C4. Sure it cost a lot more but at least it's not a Hisense.
Remember in 2010s when LEDS, n 3D tv. N those $3000-5000 most premium SONY LG, Samsung LEDS. They wer 100% produced by SHARP Tv wholesale from the big 3. HIsense bought SHARP Tv in 2015. Thats why they do NOT have to pay EXTRA like how SONY has to pay Samsung for royalty or split cost to used QLED pattern. Hisense ULED pattern is very similar n premium, assume its from Varieties of SHARP n other brands. They are like NEXT level premium. I am coming from 60” $5000 SHARP Aquos Quatrum. My whole family were blown away by Hisense. WE had the Back then KING of LED. So we were expecting a down grade. But the result was a wow. ;p
Het Caleb-Did HiSense follow through and eliminate that mute icon display bug? Very important to me as a family member uses a Sennheiser connected headphone RS175 and thus turns volume down all the way when listeiong alone-so this bug makes the purchase a non-starter.
Cuz PPL were MOCKING it ALL OVEr last year. They CANT risk launch 🚀 their Flagship panel having ppl Mocking it. Cosumers are subject to -biased consumer group up echo chamber confirmation of “Fear”. So in Marketing they produce a Product that consumers WANT. Giving them a product they are NOT familiar with , n being Judged it will lower brand value . Cuz the FLAGSHIP holds Brand Image/Value. Like we talk about Iphone, we talking about the PRO-s . Not anytying beneath yearly. So last year the spring launch Every influncer like FOMO, Rtings (without testign) already saying”oh d ADS will have lower contrast rate” ppl got spooked, n later in the year the FOMO said”yeah turn out ADS-PRO is even MORE premium than VA”. But too late. The Confirmation Bias has formed. So i am sure if ppl RE -Warm up. They will do ADS-PRO. I WANT Ads-pro .
Yeah I saw the Chinese market ALL ADS-PRO. Consumers didnt freak out THAT over VA, they took it well , this year they are doing FULL ADS-PRO. Its INSANE!! Hopefully we Warm up soon. 😊
Thanks Caleb. Dear manufacturers. please include a subwoofer output with an 80 hz cutoff on your premium models. That would simplify my audio concerns immensely. I hope that isn't too much to ask for.
At 10:15 you mention getting a 75" U9 over a 85" U8 because of the ADS Pro panel. But the 75"U8 is also an ADS Pro panel. So why the U9 over the U8 of the same size.
Great video as usual. I like how you brought up the panel type, I know the U8k in 75" used an ADS pro panel as well. Do you know if any of the sizes in the U8N use the ADS panel? For my use case having a large living room with a wide seating arrangement makes having this option a huge priority. It would be awesome if Hisense disclosed these specs on their website as it is tough to find confident answers about this anywhere. Keep up the good work Caleb!!!
Great question, as I've wondered the same specifically the new U8N. Hopefully he test the ADS pro panel since no real reviewers tested the 75'' version of the u8k. Most owners seemed to be happy with it but could be their bias opinion since they own it and want to be happy with their purchase.
@@Caleb_Denison OMG THANK YOU. I could not find this information anywhere on the internet. I just ordered a 75 U8N. Since you're already in communication with Hisense, can you advise them to list the panel type in their specs? Or at the least the static native contrast? Thanks
The U8NAU 75 inch in Oz has an ADS Pro screen, all the other U8N TV's have the 'normal' panels. I don't find the U8NAU 65 inch too bad from the side, but I always watch it head on thou
Awesome review! Do the U9N and UX still have just 8-bit panels? And how do you know if you’re getting a 2023 UX vs a 2024 UX if no difference in the model names like with the lower series lettering?
Everyone who has a living room, so hundreds of millions to around a billion or so people lol. Even in my small 1100 sq ft house a 75 inch fits fine in the living room. Might be too big a tv for a lot of peoples bedrooms tho.
@@AmericanWears there's an optimal size for how far you are viewing the TV from. so even if the TV physically fits in your living room if you are sitting to close to it, it's not a fun experience.
@@mrgamnwatch nope, there is no room in my home big enough for one. My point is a u7 looks great to me, I don’t see any value in spending 10x for a halo product, when last years halo product is already made better at a new lower tier.
I'd provided it was a one time buy. Ironically, in 5 years without your notice you'd be spending 10 grands of accumulated cost on several TVs (not including cost you pay for installation, maintenance, power consumption, gradual damage to your eye etc etc)
The mute icon is big for me, I game a lot at night with my headset on. I have to keep the volume on my soundbar at 1. It’s not the worst thing ever bc at 1 it’s barely audible, but I’d still like it to just be at zero when I have my headset on. I love my u7k I bought last year, I’m only watching these to make sure Hisense is headed in the right direction, I’m excited to see their lineup in two years when I’m back in the market for a TV
I noticed that Caleb was standing next to David Katzmaier at the press event. I wonder if they discussed how we can do better watching Digital Trends instead of CNET. One tests a lot more models these day and the other doesn't come across as an advertisement.
Im still keeping my m7000 from 2016 dunno why love the picture it gives over much modern and better on specs tvs that look somehow more digital like it lacks of soul I would check these new Hisenses to see if they keep the “soul”
Please do a video about upscaling. Comparing brands with 240, 480, 720, etc. media. Which tv's are best for this. As you can tell, I have a lot of old content.
😊here . Its NOT - ADS Samsung Qn90C Then U8N 75” U9N : --- ADS Pro --- panel ADS-pro has 2X contrast of ADS! ADS Pro has 500hz screen refresh rate vs ADS with 144hz cap . 🧢
Great review. Yeah someone mentioned this. $8k for the UX98 is Sony price land. Hmm . For that money it needs to really excel at processing & true contrast & shadow detail. Say what you want about Sony but no one does more with less zones than Sony.
Does the U9N use an ADS Pro Panel in all sizes or just the 75-inch? The U8N used ADS Pro in the 75-inch but some reviews said that the quality of the image (particularly brightness) was lower with the ADS Pro Panel versus the VA Panel and that the viewing angle was only marginally better. If you got that level of brightness with an ADS Pro Panel that is fantastic. Especially fantastic if you can get the ADS Pro Panel in the 65-inch size since 75-inch is a bit large for where I need to put it.
Disregard Rtings review of the 75u8n we have the 65 and 75 beside each other at my AV shop and the 75 is significantly better for viewing angles, color out of the box is superior (65 has too much red) and the brightness difference is negligible
There also a bug across most hisense tv regarding sound. If your using a external device for sound like say a receiver it well not show the numbers for the volume.
Has the Hisense new 2024 TV in the higher range U9N & up finally been upgraded to a native 10bit panel or is it still 8bit like last year's models? Do they have the new Next Gen TV tuners (ATSC 3.0) included in its hardware or does it still have the older ATSC 1.0 tuners? I know most won't care about that, but I do, since I'm in the market for a brand-new TV this year & I want a nice upgrade from my old Sony 9300d from years ago. I know the Sony Bravia 9 has an ATSC 3.0 tuner and that TV is on my short list. This Hisense U9N might be on that short list too for the price to performance value but so is the brand-new TCL 2024 higher end range of MiniLED TVs. It's between those three brands for me this year. I am not in a rush to buy, so I will wait and watch your reviews on each brand and model as you get them.
Its only july, i heard it will release in later summer early fall so it should be coming out soon. I am ready to pull the triger :) lol its funny my family have NOT even seen anything already want it lol. 😂 n they are not into TVs. We have 2 Hisnense U8 its like big WOW so they know it no fail deal lol.
I was looking into buying a Hisence, after being a Samsung fan for many years, for this "bang for your buck" reputation they seemed to be achieving. What I found was that looking at American videos about Hisence products was a waste of time because, here in Australia, we get quite different spec products (with the same name) than what the US market receives. This explained why the 2023 U8K in Australia looked quite different from the one you reviewed on this channel. Also, the reputation of Hisence customer support here in Australia is quite poor. Many people commented that once they had your money they were very reluctant to help if you ran into problems with your purchase. This has me backing away slowly and looking back at Samsung, Sony and LG.
1 AUS have same panel as USA in 2023. They r same on specs just diff oS n frame . The AUS version is original much nicer than Americans( strip down) , the AUS one is the tv they sell in home turf in Asia . Then k literally have much diff experience with other brands . I have the remote broke they sent me new . But I have bought SONY $330 1000-XM4 headphones. Sony sent me 1 firmware update . Killed d Hardware permanently. Been 7 months since I sent my stuff , they r not replacing it . Kept saying delay in email . They seem like destroyed millions of those headphones . So sketchy 😮
Confirming that yes 2022 Hisense U8H had ADS , 2023 globally their panels match . All d same . ADS pro has 2X contrast rate of ADS . I am aiming for 1 now :)
Hey Caleb. Love the review! If you were looking at an 85inch (non-OLED) to buy this year - would you take the U9N (2024) or the Sony Bravia 9? I watch a lot of movies in a wide room, with plenty of friends and family. I also occasionally play some games, so I'm hoping to upgrade in a big way from a 5 year old Sony TV.
Sony x95L x93L has famous Rainbow 🌈smear when lights on in living room . Not sure how R9 will get rid of it . U have a lot of ppl coming over , that can be problem .
@@Yoga_Tv_buying X95L I was interested in, but I'm hopeful maybe the Bravia 9 helped solve some of those issues. My living room actually has pretty good ambient light control so not super worried about glare.
I got X95L. Was excited till I bought it. The picture is just like any top tier led TV, nothing oled like. not even close. I'm yet to see the magic of picture processing and upscaling for low bit rate low resolution content. Picture isnt razor sharp as in oled. I'm ready to sell it off half the price I paid to buy it just 5 months ago.

Hi Caleb, (posted this question in the other video yesterday, but I'm posting here again to see if you see i) Been following the channel for a bit and now it's the time for me to buy a new TV... and I'm torn between going for the new Samsung S95D (around €2800 where I live) or last year model S95C (€1500), so almost double the price, but the S95D would come (probably) with the soundbar Q600C... but ignoring the soundbar, do you think the difference in price is worth it? I could also get the Sony A95K for €1999 but that seems like a high price for a 2022 tv... or is this still worth it when compared to the two above? Can you help me please? Thank you :)
Dude the S95C is so much nicer than A95K. I have seen it . PS when I was checking U8k 75” in store, the dude behind me looking at A95K 75” kept flipping head back n forth, it ws funny he called me out to help thought I was employee. N finally came over to Check U8K 75” instead n he’s like going around the circle seeing viewing angles etc. 😊 yeah dude. I would grab U9N or S95C, or like UX(not sure if they will make it there in your country). I find the SONY QD-OLED has Pestle color. Once u see it u can NOT unsee it. Its blue tinted, A95K was more sever than A95L. Green look turquoise , fushia is megenta, pink is lavender . 😮 n NO matte screetn NO MATTER what 😂:P
13:31 while I think Hisense and TCL are really doing a good job aside from their processors, once that gets a little bit better, I think we will see some serious competition across the board. As for me, I've lost faith in both companies, so for me I'll still stick with the Sony
Is it possible that a TV this bright may be too bright for some people? Maybe even causing headaches? Is this level of brightness really a valuable asset or is it just manufacturer bombast?
If I buy QLED TV of TCL, Hisense, or Toshiba, will it be better than Samsung, Sony, and LG’s Non-QLED version? Under $1000 My main focus is picture quality. In terms of software, I'm gonna get Apple TV 4K. And in terms of sound quality, I have Sony Surround Sound System.
Yeah I had a $5000 60” LED, before I went for HIsense thats much affortable actually had a HUGE WOW all year. The Hype is real dud. U hav to see/own one to believe it. 🎉
Hey u will get mix reviews from ppl. They have cheap low end Roku lik e$150 tinny tv to like $5000-8000 laser tv, then thoes big boys 110” 8K UX $13000 in China. So ppl have seen them at passing like bought $280 garage TVs can totally hate on it. When the rest ppl online RAVE it EXTREMELY premium. Hisense UX last year had 9.5/10 most pitch BLACK LED , n like 9.2/10 -color volume, utter Match A95L color volume. But UX has advantages over A95L because if all black etc all 99.5% enough, it’s the COLOR/vibrance does the TALKING. We get spring morning vibrancy(cozy warm green/red/yellow) for A95L--pestle. It’s VERY pestle.
SONY’s Pestle tint cast on 100% image its a cool tone tint they always have. Blue now look more purple, n the green looks like weird. Cool Brown looks warm brown, pale yellow looks more Mustard , soft red looks more hard red. That type of thing .

Being banned after criticizing a piece of fault is nasty work! You’d never learn from a mistake doing that!
they also dont even know what panel type their tv sizes have, they told me the 85 inch u8k was ads panel it is not,im guessing the same error is there for the new tvs
@@kcfilmstudiospeaking of UA-cam…
nothing to respect them for, it's completely normal and expected. any other reaction would have been extremely unprofessional.
Which manufacturers ban people from reviewing their products if they receive a bad review?
What I love about you as a reviewer is you don't just get on here and bitch and whine, you tLk to the company, you document and give them time to address the issues. Thank you. I hope they add an update to show when you're watching hdr, dolby vision, imax, and filmmaker mode. I'm used to those reassuring pop ups from my previous tvs.
That's nice but unrealistic. 99% of consumers won't have the ability to call up Hisense (or any other manufacturer/brand) and have them rectify an issue with their tv.
Been using my 85 UX for last 6 months or so, very happy with it.

I got the U7K based on your review and happy as can be with it.
I got the U7G. I think my panel might be off because on dark scenes there's a purple X on the whole screen.
The U9N certainly looks the business for a TV at this price point be interesting to see its comparison against equivalent Samsung, LG and Sony models of the same price point Another great one Caleb
75 inch U9N cost $3K vs 77 inch Samsung S90D $2,150 right now at Best Buy. Edit and update the U9 75 inch is now $2000
Decent side speakers ✔️ used to that on my Kuro, saves the expense of a soundbar.
It’s better. Not OLED good, but better than VA
@@Caleb_Denison is it ads panel?
I like the idea of the feature to drop the nits for better quality. Most tv's are too bright for me anyway, although I do like the option to increase nits. Spring is always fun when the new tv's start trickling out.
My future theater display is looking bright!
Just 3 years ago the biggest was 86” and so my dad got an Epson short throw instead at 100” (max we could physically fit on the wall with speakers mounted on the sides)
And it’s crazy to see how many large options there are now!
Eyyy congrats on the core 200! 😊
My U6N 75" model have the same ADS Pro panel, it's AMAZING!
Yeah the UX is d Bentley TV. Champ .

EDITED TO FIX OFF AXIS TYPO!! The U9 looks really great and very bright! The ADS Pro panel answered my question about off axis viewing. This should be an amazing TV. Great First Impression video! Thanks for an interesting and newsy video, Caleb!

What’s special about the ADS Pro Panel?
@@x102reddragon It's basically an IPS panel so in turn better viewing angles than the VA panels the other size models have.
@@x102reddragon
ADS panels are improved IPS panels.
Keeping my fingers crossed there is a compelling reason to spend the additional money
Thank you for your work.
Thank you Caleb! It's exciting to see the progress with MiniLEDs in the last year or two. I can't wait to see Sony, Hisense, and Samsung battle it out
the ads-pro is extremely underrated!
There is a different U88N Hisense tv coming out soon in Canada. It has 1,600 local dimming zones and is a 100" tv. Please look into that tv.
That's essentially the 2023 100U8K. The only new 100, well...98", is the UX at probably around $10K canadian
Hisense U88N cost $7,000 Canadian

I can’t wait for you to review the me tcl TVs
Will you review the U7N ?
Wish they had this in 65inch I would pick up instantly.
75 inch is currently $2000.
Why are VA panels still a thing for mid-range TVs? It's clear that we need ADS Pro to get good viewing angles.

The U9N 75 inch is currently only $2000 and I'm buying it.
Im still keeping my m7000 from 2016 dunno why love the picture it gives over much modern and better on specs tvs that look somehow more digital like it lacks of soul

Yes, but very possibly the u8n ads pro panel has got some marginal technical improvements over the 2023 model.
Please do a video about upscaling. Comparing brands with 240, 480, 720, etc. media. Which tv's are best for this. As you can tell, I have a lot of old content.
upscaling is a myth, no tv can do it well below 1080p. With low bit rate compressed contents, even 1080p is crappy on 4K panels.

Great review. Yeah someone mentioned this. $8k for the UX98 is Sony price land. Hmm . For that money it needs to really excel at processing & true contrast & shadow detail. Say what you want about Sony but no one does more with less zones than Sony.
Keep in mind announced price is general higher than the sale price like a place holder, but maybe wishful thinking here
5k nits, now we need 5k monitors!!!!! Love u Caleb
So how many zones does the 75-inch have? Also, wasn’t there a 75UX model coming out or does the U9N replace it?
Any chance of a 85 inch Bravia 9 versus 85 inch U9N video? Im really interested in how these two heavyweights match up. Thanks.

Confirming that yes 2022 Hisense U8H had ADS ,
2023 globally their panels match . All d same .

It's true nothing can beat top tier oled. Once 98 inch, 108 inch oleds are affordable, no one will talk about lcds
Great video Caleb. I would love to get your take on what tv to buy at various price points?
Any updates on the scandalous 55 inch u8n? Its was on my list and Im second guessing myself on whether to consider it.
Great video as usually 👌 👍. I wish to buy a hisense tv here in Europe 🇪🇺 Malta 🇲🇹 but the software is Vidaa not Android and i have all Google smart home. Why is hisense promoting vidaa here in Europe 🇪🇺? Any help how to buy an android hisense in here and it will work and get new updates?
Wow, Hisense really upping their game and I'm looking forward to s SONY comparison...
Me too!
please talk about panel type for these tvs and the sizes for each panels becasue u8 also used ads panel for 85 inches while u9 uses it the same ,i think ur confusing the sies and which sizes have what panel types
I've had five 4K TV's and every one developed image problems, Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic and Philips, reckon I'm trying Hisense next, wish me luck.
Hi Caleb,
(posted this question in the other video yesterday, but I'm posting here again to see if you see i)
Been following the channel for a bit and now it's the time for me to buy a new TV... and I'm torn between going for the new Samsung S95D (around €2800 where I live) or last year model S95C (€1500), so almost double the price, but the S95D would come (probably) with the soundbar Q600C... but ignoring the soundbar, do you think the difference in price is worth it?
@@Yoga_Tv_buying Thanks for the reply... I'm probably going to go with the new S95D with the free soundbar
How does the 85” u9n compare to the 85” Sony x95L?
The Sony is the better overall tv the u9n is brighter thats about it.
Sony , all the way , except brightness........
Anyone know when a fix might be coming on Hisense TVs using Google TV and the Disney Plus app and screen flickering on Dolby Vision content?
13:31 while I think Hisense and TCL are really doing a good job aside from their processors, once that gets a little bit better, I think we will see some serious competition across the board. As for me, I've lost faith in both companies, so for me I'll still stick with the Sony
@leo7onfire absolutely
@leo7onfire The u9n is for people who are looking for a great tv without breaking the bank the bravia 9 is ridiculously expensive.
Is it possible that a TV this bright may be too bright for some people? Maybe even causing headaches? Is this level of brightness really a valuable asset or is it just manufacturer bombast?
Does the 75-in u8n use ads Pro?
Yes
If I buy QLED TV of TCL, Hisense, or Toshiba, will it be better than Samsung, Sony, and LG’s Non-QLED version?
Under $1000
My main focus is picture quality.
Are you going to be covering the Hisense Art TV lineup?
Canvas looks pretty good! Hope to get one in!
Could you explain what Apples new “Tandem OLED”screens are in the new iPad Pro and could we see them in a TV someday?
I’m working on that right NOW!!
@@Caleb_Denison Nice!
Caleb, why didn't you reach out to Hisense to fix the U8K lifted EOTF and the wrong HDR blue color you mentioned last year?
Yea. The brightness is just sloppy
Who says that I didn’t? Wink wink
Last year's u8k lineup maxed out at 85"? Someone tell that to the 100" u8k on the wall of my living room. That thing is Ah-mazing!
Can’t wait for U9 to come out so U8 price drop
Im waiting for details of the UX currently not the priority but the details may bump it to top priority in fall
When are you testing Sony Bravia 7?
U9N is the rich man's QM8?
$2000 for the 75 inch U9N.
Why is it taking so long to anything from the new TCL line?
How durable are the Hisense TVs?
Hey u will get mix reviews from ppl. They have cheap low end Roku lik e$150 tinny tv to like $5000-8000 laser tv, then thoes big boys 110” 8K UX $13000 in China. So ppl have seen them at passing like bought $280 garage TVs can totally hate on it. When the rest ppl online RAVE it EXTREMELY premium. (My family think they are higher end than SONY TVs) cuz we get HIsense U8 series Flagship TV. So u get ppl with VW Jetta n Audi A6 totally 2 end of spectrum experience :):):) 😊
I dont have waranty at all. They ran out. But my 55” 65” $2500 later running fine :)
@Yoga_Tv_buying
Thank you so much for your info APPLE JELLY !
Let hope the newer model Hisense TVs have a much durable controller chips that don't break down within a few years.
😉💖🖥💖👍
wow so many new TV's coming out. U9N, G4, Bravia 9...How do these new options stack up against the Sony A95L please Caleb?
This is well and all, but when are they going to address their quality control on their panels? Lifespan of fheir tvs as well...
😅 When are we going to stop talking about Quality control issues like sining national anthem ? ?? I like how MOSt ppl buy Hisense like me n my buddies did. Have NO issues ever 3, 4 yr in with U8. We bought 2 panels $2500 USD so far going for 3rd.
PS --FYI next time u hear someone talking bout Quality issues….its Sales pitch in Bestbuy to deter ppl from buying becasue their other brands not selling. Bestbuy -ORDER them to utter trash talking Hisense. The VERY first thing is “I hears they have….isseus. “ EX bestbuy employee exposed it. N saying that Bestbuy Hates HIsense n Actively spread that Narritive.
My u8k 65 inch using built-in apps. Refuses to turn on randomly. I have to pull the plug and turn on the app only mode. Clear the data on all my apps. I set it to dummy mode and got a fire cube. Zero issues now that I no longer use built-in os.
