Had my 75” U7N for a week now and love it. I was worried about all the DSE and doom and gloom from Reddit, but my tv has been great so far. Maybe I won the ‘panel lottery’ but my tv performs flawlessly when I pull up the DSE test. The tv is bright AF. I generally have the brightness set to 25-30 at night and maybe 45 during peak day brightness. It’s like a whole new world with the FALD, black levels and extreme brightness compared to my 47” Samsung I’ve been using since 2016
Looking to get the Bravia 7 for our secondary room but this (and the U8N) have me interested. We love Sony PQ and processing, however. Is this noticeably worse on that front?
Its pretty similar on all fronts besides the image processing, the sony processing is much better than even the runner ups like LG who now on their series 4 OLEDS have much better processing than before but compared to this hisense the sony is worlds better on that front.
ME own 2 Falgship Hisense U8, that I had $5000 LED thats’ 60” before. I would absolutely say U8N. U8N has 3X --CONTRAST ratio of Bravia 7. It has 2X Native Contrast Ratio of Bravia 7. U8N has Color Volume Surpass S95B, it reach Color Volume of Samsung S95C. Once tweaked they will look Absolutely 97-98% S95C. SONY Bravia 7 I JUST saw in store 65” and 75” i was disappointed , it has MROE MATTED- YES FINE GRAIN MATTED screen. IN DAY Time-Anything dark will look FUZZY n weird. The pale matt will be immediately noticeable . That negates the REASON ppl want Bright LED> SONY has --Blue light coming from back of tv, mix with RED/Green from front. So the color will look very pestle. Because the colors should have much blue like yellow, pink, brown will not be escape blue. The RED will look more aged Blood than Fresh blood red. I cant explain. Hisense n Samsung has-White light coming from back meet RED/Blue/Green to have more REAL NATRUAL blends of color that suit for human eyes. In Biology, we aare taught Human eyes are more likely to pick up more mild warm tone than pestle blue. (Spring morning vs Cloudy day). Our brain pick up more VISUAL in Warm tone not blue tone. The Processing n upscaling they more fun of are talking about DVD n BLUE RAY. If u are NOT constantly watch Blue ray or DVD (i never watched blue ray once in my life), its NOT a notable feature. When everything else is Significantly less appitizing. From Screen matting, blue tint, then the 1/3 level contrast ratio. REALLY not worth it. 2023 Hisense U8K already 1.6X of Bravia 7 Contrast Ratio. Brandon has those videos.
“Jen is not here for this unboxing but she’ll be back later” Me subconsciously: skips to later Nice review and Hisense are really upping their game so they can be judged on par with the big hitters. Will be very interesting to see where Hisense TVs sit in five years time comparison to Sony, LG and Samsung

Love all your reviews. I’m looking for a 55”4 K TV for my living room. I’m replacing a 40” first generation Sony HD TV. The TV is 14 years old and still works. I have an LG 55” 4 K TV in a bigger room. I like LG but not the interface. I use an Apple 4 K streaming box. Anyway I’ve decided on a Hisense TV. Probably the UN6 but maybe the UN7. Sony does great upscaling. However this tv is great. Not sure what you are trying to compare to it but it's definitely better than the Sony x90 series tvs

@@BB-xn1rw Yeah, I watched the RTINGS review, the day after I got it, and I think it's important to bear in mind, their goal is perfection, and they work with some really high-end stuff, so the bar is high. Hello Brandon I’m a new subscriber to your channel. have you posted anywhere your recommended settings for the 75inch u7n. My only fear is buying one and not having the knowledge to calibrate. I’m 71 and calibrate a tv is not something I grew up with

I’m happy to have found your videos, you do a great job! I’m torn between this and the 2024 QM7. Looking at 75”-85” for our living room. This would be mixed usage primarily streaming shows/movies and an antenna for sports. Any thoughts on these? I’ve also considered the U6N for something about $350 cheaper, but I think I’d get significant improvement for my money going with the U7N or QM7. We would be moving our 55” 2018 Vizio P Series to a different room. We have a $568 Best Buy store credit to replace the Vizio to help bring the price down even more.
As I have said on these, 75" get the hiaense u7n or u8n. Both have the ADS panel that looks better than any of the top MiniLED from TCL, Samsung, or Sony in this price range. 85" it's less different and any of them would be good. 98" TCL q6 looking good so far but smaller sizes are 60hz panel so I don't recommend thay or the u6n
Appreciate your insight! Have an 85” QM7 being delivered today, hopefully we love it and it has less issues than our Vizio. TCL and Hisense seem to have some impressive mid and premium tier TVs compared to what you can get from the big brands for the same price.

I bought the QM7 > U7N, but it's unfortunate that the QM7 is stuck with 802.11ac WiFi 5, but the TCL C765 (EU/Asia version) has 802.11ax WiFi 6 and the U7N also has it
Brandon, I think the reason the Bravia 7 looks dimmer in low APL scenes is not because of the backlight but its poor reflection handling. In a dimly lit room I think the specular highlights would be impressive in low APL scenes.
The room conditions were same. The reflection was not a problem. The picture was poor on that specific scene in normal lighting. It could have just been our TV but we had to make some changes to get it bright enough. Didn't have to with U7N. Both great tvs overall
@@BTheInstaller I understand both televisions were under the same light conditions, that’s the point! While the UN7 doesn’t have great reflection handling either you’ll see from your own video the UN7 is noticeably better than the B7 at reflecting light (9:37 mark). If you bothered to take the time to test under darker conditions it would be obvious it’s not the backlight as the B7 would have just as bright if not brighter specular highlights in low APL scenes as the UN7. No question the UN7 is the better TV in a bright room because Sony went cheap when it came to an anti reflective coating on the panel.
I bought it when it first came out. Only thing is that when i mounted my soundbar under the tv using a bracket, the remote stopped working. Hisense sent me a new remote but it started working when i removed the soundbar.
Nice looking tv for the money. Just curious when you said you watch lots of YTTV. Not long ago you were pushing Direct TV and said you have been using it since college. Why the change?
Would you recommend the U7N or the U8K? In Mexico they are practically the same price in their 75-inch version, a comparison of the 2 would be great. Also, what do you think about the sound that is already integrated? Do you recommend to buy a soundbar or is the sound good enough on its own? Thanks for the review, amazing work!

QUESTION: The review from RTings shows how the Anti-Judder technology of the 2024 models is actually inferior to the 2023 models. In 2023, the U6K, U7K, and U8K all had 10 out of 10 ratings for all types of "Automatic Anti-Judder" technology. But in 2024, only the entry-level model - the U6N gets this 10 out of 10 score. The review says the U7N and the U8N do NOT have the ability to remove Judder from sources using 24p60i technology - such as Cable TV. I watch more content on Cable TV than anything else, so this is VERY important. What are your thoughts of the Judder situation on this U7N TV?

Here my advice don’t sleep on TVs like this just because it’s cheaper dosnt mean it’s garbage. I still have a 2015 Vizio I bought for 900 bucks and it’s still working today. This tv in the 55” size is like 800 bucks that’s a great deal for what this tv dose. Save some money the bigger brands are price gouging you because they know they are the well known brands. I like to be different id recommended this tv with a 4 year warranty if it breaks your covered.
The main issue you have with Hisense is reliability. On paper, this looks like a no brainer until you drop 1100.00 on a 65” that is broken in 12 months. I’ll say this, when i was looking at the U8N at Best Buy, the salesman said he’d “rather have a budget Samsung than a high end Hisense.”
samsung are the worst tv on the market. i had 3 and i earn my lesson and i will never buy it again high end or less.,. hisense is way better! Even Vizio and TLC are better than samsung. Never listen to a stupid seller at best buy. they dont know anything! and with a budget samsung, no hdmi 2.1 no 120 hz no dolby vision. it is garbage!.
That's called getting fooled by salesman as he is up selling samsung, because Sales guy get a cut of the sell they made, as Samsung pays high margin to Retailers like best buy, etc.... while otehr companies won't do that as they are already playing Price sensitive strategy. Saying as a person that worked in samsung logictis dept.

That negates the REASON ppl want Bright LED>
SONY has --Blue light coming from back of tv, mix with RED/Green from front.
Can you review the hisense u8k in the 100 inch size? As well as the u76 in the 100.
Not many reviews of those mega tvs yet. Thank you!

Nice review and Hisense are really upping their game so they can be judged on par with the big hitters. Will be very interesting to see where Hisense TVs sit in five years time comparison to Sony, LG and Samsung
Nice review.

Did you guys do a video on the Hisense U6n?
I have limited table space. Please tell me the distance between the TV feet from each other on the U7n.
Thank you for the review, this was literally the only one I could find for the U7N with the ADS panel. Any recommendations on calibration? Can you use the same calibration recommended for the VA panel?
I have the u78km last year model. I'm loving it.
Thank you for this! I'm buying this tv right now
After watching this review, just picked the 55U7N up for $599. And personally, at that price, it’s a no brainer. Appreciate the recommendation!
Come back and let us know in a few months how your TV is doing! My price range is $550-$750. Any advice? Thank you.

Great review, B! This TV looks like a real sleeper. Already down at $1,200 for the 75", which is CRAZY.

$999 now at Costco & Best Buy
999 at bestbuy
$900 right now at Coscto (with a 5 year warrantee) or at Amazon (without).
Is the u7n reliable for longevity ? I know hisense has mother boared issues in the past
TCL TVs are more reliable than Hisense.
Do you feel Hisense or TCL are reliable enough and worth purchasing?
Yall are the only channel I’ve seen that reviewed the u7n & u8n in 75” with the ads pro panel! That being said, bright fam room, lots of windows. Would the u7 be good enough? Or should I spend the extra money.
Tv is used to watch shows, movies (streaming everything) no video games. Rtings trashing the contrast on the ads panel worries me but I’m done with tcl.
I had similar fears but went with the 75” U7N and after a little over a week, I’m very happy with my choice. Things my first new tv in about 8 years and I now believe the Rtings people are full of 💩 for the most part. The black levels are outstanding and after I upgraded my FireStick to the newest 4k Max version, the quality is fantastic and the off angle viewing is great, I can see the tv clear as day all the way from my kitchen while feeding the baby. Very good video I have a Sony TV right now, I heard that Sony does the best upscaling from a little resolution TV programming, I don't have anything in 4k resolution do you think this TV here the Hisense what upscale just as good as the Sony my TV would be equal to the Sony 90l mines a few years old thanks thanks
No man. No change from sony to this tv. I have sane problem like you. I bought u7n and i have to return thus tv to store, u7n makes me sick.
Sony does great upscaling. However this tv is great. Not sure what you are trying to compare to it but it's definitely better than the Sony x90 series tvs

Great videos, B! Watch you guys all the time. I'm in the market for a big screen, replacing a projector. (Budget friendly) I'm was looking to get the tcl q6 98 inch, but then I came across the hisense u76 100 inch on sale for father's day weekend. Hard to find a decent, credible review on both but mainly the hisense. Do you have any info, experience, or recommendations on either one? Thank you for your time.
Can we get a review between this and the QM7?
Just bought it, can't wait to see it when it gets here.

How is the ads panel?
@@BB-xn1rw I LOVE this TV.... I actually prefer the ADS panel over VA. WAY better viewing angles and deep blacks, with exceptional brightness.
@@AMDRyzenEnthusiastGroup good to hear… I need a 75”… I got worried when I read this was an ips panel… rings trashed the 75 u8n due to it… my tcl 65” 635 is about to die… I have an extremely bright fam room, lots of windows… thought I would have to spend the extra on the u8n due to how bad rtings hammered the panels… didn’t think the u7 would cut it with contrast and brightness with the ips panel.
@@BB-xn1rw Yeah, I watched the RTINGS review, the day after I got it, and I think it's important to bear in mind, their goal is perfection, and they work with some really high-end stuff, so the bar is high. I'm 100% satisfied with it, and I think I have at least a fair bit of knowledge about panel tech, and what to look for. But mainly, it's just a beautiful picture on this TV. Super bright, very vivid, and loaded with features.

Hello Brandon I’m a new subscriber to your channel. have you posted anywhere your recommended settings for the 75inch u7n. My only fear is buying one and not having the knowledge to calibrate. I’m 71 and calibrate a tv is not something I grew up with
This TV and size comes pre-calibrated. Only the 75 inch
You don't need to calibrate it. I listed some of the settings changes I do in the video and rtings has more of that stuff written. Just in movie or cinema mode is a good start
Is it better than u8k?
Without Vidaa and solar panel on pilot.
What was the quality like when watching live stream sport, was the motion smooth and was the processing able to keep up well, great video
Great video 👍. Is the remote backlight? And why in Europe 🇪🇺 they're Vidaa not Google TV?
Very good video and interessing when you and jen talk over the question which better tv more from this :)
Nice tv! Looking forward to your views on the Bravia 9.
@@BTheInstalleryou are the only person to review the 7 & 8n in 75” ads… could you do a comparison video? I can’t decide if the extra money is worth the 8… no gaming - just steaming movies and shows… super bright room and also watch in the dark at night… I’m worried the black letterbox wouldn’t do well on the 7 since the 8 drops a ton of native contrast at 75” ads…
When will the Hisense u8n be released? Greetings
I just bought a Hisense 75U75N by mistake thinking I was buying the U8N. I noticed that the U8N had risen in price this week from $1400 - $1600. I'm getting up in age and I don't do gaming. I ordered online and may be able to cancel, but for $600 less in cost, how much of a downgrade in picture quality is the U75N vs. the U8N? thanks!
Keep the 7

TCL C755 is better than Hisense U7N.

U7N 85” / mini led or QLED ?

Nice video keep up the good work B the Installer
Sold...just purchased one last night
Great review!
I bought it when it first came out. Only thing is that when i mounted my soundbar under the tv using a bracket, the remote stopped working. Hisense sent me a new remote but it started working when i removed the soundbar.
Try to connect it via Bluetooth. The IR (line of sight) may not work with the sound bar there, but the Bluetooth should.

Just to let you know, the TV has a 144Hz panel. It can't go higher than that, but you said it can do 1080p at 244Hz. It cannot do 244Hz.
I seen else where at 1080p it can go to 240 hz sooooo…….

why do most reviewers not mention sound quality??? so frustrating!!
Does anyone know if the 75" u7k is also and ADS panel?
Here my advice don’t sleep on TVs like this just because it’s cheaper dosnt mean it’s garbage. I still have a 2015 Vizio I bought for 900 bucks and it’s still working today. This tv in the 55” size is like 800 bucks that’s a great deal for what this tv dose. Save some money the bigger brands are price gouging you because they know they are the well known brands. I like to be different id recommended this tv with a 4 year warranty if it breaks your covered.
Excellent review
The main issue you have with Hisense is reliability. On paper, this looks like a no brainer until you drop 1100.00 on a 65” that is broken in 12 months. I’ll say this, when i was looking at the U8N at Best Buy, the salesman said he’d “rather have a budget Samsung than a high end Hisense.”
Isn’t this the point of a Two year warranty?
samsung are the worst tv on the market. i had 3 and i earn my lesson and i will never buy it again high end or less.,. hisense is way better!
People like this on the first floor! Are you a professional slanderer?
You can always get the 5 year warranty. That's what I did. You're not wrong, they do have some issues, but they all do. That's how they are built.
After seen this I went got the 75 inch on sale with shipping less then 980

Nothing about this tv is horrible. It's on of the best performing Tvs, especially for the money.
