Hey brother. I just wanted to thank you. While I didn't utilize your service, I watched a lot of your videos and subbed to the point where I harnessed my inner Tomi Mikula today and KILLED IT at the dealership. 2024 Tundra Limited 4x4 FULLY LOADED, $66,336 MSRP, $50,283 out the door. Over $16k off! The manager came out of the backroom and asked if I ever worked for a dealership before. 😂 Of course the lack of demand for the truck ATM helps.
thats awesome dude! just negotiated my first ever car lease last month and watching tomi helped a ton in the process. almost $100 off the dealer-advertised monthly payment!
Wow you paid Tacoma prices for a Tundra! I want a Tacoma TRD Sport so bad but they’re too expensive for me at this time. I have a 2021 Accord right now with only 13k left to pay off so I may use it as trade in once it’s over.
400 bucks for dealership to get a notary signature? Its free at bank of america for bank of america customers. The notarial act charge sheet seems to top out at 25 bucks. What are they doing?
@@Delivrd HA!! SOMEONE in that Dealership is a NOTARY. I had a person in my Department become a Notary here in New Jersey. It cost me initially: $25 application fee, $50 to buy the stamp & journal, $120 for the 3 year Surety Bond. Noe she can notarize any Business contract for anyone in my company. So anyone within the company that needs a company document notarized they can use her or one of several other people in the company who are also notaries. FREE. Oh... and as a side gig for herself, she can charge $25 maximum to any private person that requires a notary seal.
Much respect for you looking out for your client. I would have been pissed if they tried doing this on a car that I was buying. Sitting in the finance office is always a frustrating experience after you think that you have negotiated a fair deal.
Imagine going to the store to buy a $5.00 item and when you get to the checkout they add a 15¢ transportation fee then a 20¢ admin fee then a 10¢ warehouse fee then a 20¢ register fee. Then because it is a popular item they put in 50¢ store adjustment. Then you have taxes. This is car purchasing today. Now the cars are built so poorly (on purpose) that they wont go 50,000 miles without costly repairs. enjoy.
Do not ever lease a vehicle. That is the dumbest financial decision you could ever make. You're prepaying for the worst period of depreciation on the vehicle and you don't even own it.
EXCELLENT video. My most recent purchase was out of state and we did all agreements over the phone. I usually don’t sign anything until I come to see the vehicle as I’ve had instances of brand new cars with scratches and stuff like that and can use to negotiate even lower price. Anyway I get there and am met by the sales person who shows me the car and I agree to move forward with the purchase. I am then greeted by the finance person who stated the usual finance perosn was out sick that week and they came from another dealer. He presents the paper work in front of me I begin noticing mismatches between the numbers in front of me vs what we negotiated. The final numbers OTD before finance were wrong. The special finance percent was wrong and a few other things. They were super apologetic the entire time and what was supposed to be two hours max turned into an all day ordeal. Maybe they tried to pull a fast one, I dunno but in the end they gave us $500 off the final price and even got my kiddos pizza. Mistakes happen I guess?
Unfortunately it seems that Hyundai dealers are bad. The one near me a worker screamed at me because I told someone my age to keep her Mazda and Hyundai isn’t a good brand. They said don’t come back. I went to Genesis to do a deal for a friend and they refused to let me see the lease offer because it was cheaper than the 2024 model I inquired about 2 months ago. 😂.
That happens all the time I agreed on buying a camry a few years ago for 3k under msrp. My wife was going to get it under her name and credit only. I told her not to sign anything until I read the contract well what do you know the price was msrp. They then drop it on Gap they wanted 995.00 I said nope I got it drop down to 395.00. Always go over contract.
Id be willing to hire but my demands for specific vehicles are almost unattainable. My dream car Evo X MR 50k or less miles 1 owner. No accidents & long paper trail of ownership. They just dont exist lol. 😢
Did I hear it right? You started fighting with the manager about $85 (300 vs 385) but as soon as you heard him asking about the whole 385 vs the difference (85) you quickly jumped on the whole thing, and you worded it like the client is not ready to pay the 385, leaving out the fact he was ready to pay 300. Smooth
Negative. You heard it wrong. I argued over the 300 dollars my client told me was overcharged, I called the dealership about that 300 dollars. When I talked to the sales manager he said it was 385 dollars, so I complained that even the sales person lied about the amount of the fee.
I really like Tomi’s negotiating deals. But, in this one the problem was the client wouldn’t go pick up the car as agreed. Dealer should have told Tomi of the change and the added fee for the shipping. I don’t think the dealer was really trying to get something over Tomi. Imho.
Hey Tomi, I’ve been watching a ton of your videos. And I’m trying to negotiate my own deal. I see that the MSRP is 50,000, but the TSRP is $55,000. When speaking with the sales rep, I said that my goal is to be back off of MSRP, and she swears up and down that the MSRP is actually the TSRP and there’s nothing that she can do about that. Is this legit? Or am I correct in saying that I should be negotiating on the MSRP (before the distributors options and delivery processing, and handling)?

Oh this is very true. I got in a fight with a sales manager. Called out his bs and walked out dont tell me this a great deal because the truck sat for another 3 nonths ane finally went to auction
You do realize that Maverick is a service that is used to send customers paperwork to sign, they are an outside vendor that goes to the customers house and verifies that the right person is the person signing the contract. It’s an actual human that’s not connected to the dealership AT ALL that gets paid for their time to actually go to the customer (sometimes traveling long distances) to sign documents and legal paperwork on your behalf.
Correct. I understand Maverick. Most dealerships don't charge for it. It's an internal cost to them for an OOS deal. Either way. IF I tell you Hey I want to get all the exact numbers of a deal. I am buying the car out of state and would be remote signing. This is my address, this is my reg month. What would be my OTD. The answer should include ALL fees, including if they have to use maverick.
@@Delivrd additionally, Maverick is entirely unnecessary. Hyundai dealers are the only dealers that I’ve ever encountered that use Maverick. Most companies will let you sign paperwork without a notary or will let you use your own notary.
If I get the money you charge for people I am saying I more money. I have seen to many people get screwed buy cars. My favorite line is "I have to feed my family too". Told him get another job. But if a car is popular, the dealer can charge whatever they want.
4:04 "i am literally just using my leverage..." same dude always saying he isn't going to try and leverage deals with his tiktok nonsense. lmao. clown.
He also told the doctor couple who was the client for the genesis deal - I only got this deal because they know I’m streaming. (16:30 in the video just before this one). That’s literally using the streaming leverage. It’s the same deflection every time. Like when he tells people not to hire him to save money. But he goes on and on and on about how much money he can get off MSRP and how “stupid” his deals are. Or how much he is not a broker, yet does everything a broker does except for the technicality that he doesn’t charge the dealership any money. On today’s AMA stream he mentioned that unlike brokers, he doesn’t use existing relationships with dealership, then a few minutes later talked about how he does tons of business with specific dealerships and salesmen (Cody, Ryan, others). Sure, he might technically not have a written agreement, but a lot does happen over a handshake. Just another technicality that makes him not a broker. I have a ton of respect for what Tomi had built and it is indeed a useful and invaluable service, so I won’t call him a clown. There is an element of deflection and misdirection, meant to be a CYA move.

A person negotiating their own deal would have to eat it, or walk away from the deal.
This is why you need to hire Tomi with his 10 car deal leverage.
