    in Tahiti we have a chinese restaurant making those good crispy salted prawns and i love'em sooo much, and I was always guessing the recipe until I tried yours which is 100% accurate because it tasted the same as the recipe of the restaurant ! brilliant !😁👍
    the key is the corn flour + egg white + the 5 chinese spices ! thank you soooi much chef !

      Thank you so much! You can use any types of prawns or shrimp you can get. Yes we left the shell on and then we peel it off before enjoying. You can use prawns without shell too. Happy cooking!

      Haha thanks so much. If the prawns are crispy enough, sometimes you can even eat the shell although we don't do that all the time. Usually we will lick the delicious seasoning off the shell and then peel it off to enjoy the flesh. If you think that's too much work, please remove the shells before cooking. Happy cooking!

Usually we will lick the delicious seasoning off the shell and then peel it off to enjoy the flesh. If you think that's too much work, please remove the shells before cooking. Happy cooking!

    just my comment : you can also consider pan frying the salt & pepper mix first. and add in some chopped ginger and chopped onion bulb to stir fry with the garlic and shallots......
