Wonderful! Thank you for this - Maria should have had such a better career. This first solo album has moments of brilliance yet seems a little disjointed without the consistency of a band. Which is a little ironic as LJ shuffled through some members. I think Maria shifted a little from record to record without the chance to find a consistent audience. Long time devotees like me will follow her anywhere and on every single record there's reasons to just shake your head in awe at how amazing she is! I miss her and hope she is doing well. In a period of remarkable diversity and incredible music LJ just lit up the LA scene. That was one hot ticket man..❤
She just absolutely KILLS here, like it’s nothing at all! What talent! I saw Lone Justice open for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in Atlanta in 1985. Then I saw her twice in the early- to mid-‘90s.
Wore this cassette out, then got the CD. I finally saw her with her husband and band at a small festival in San Diego in 2005. It was one of the best nights...
Back in 1990, turned on Carson, then all of a sudden, this girl pops on there. This was the rerun of the 89 show. Popped a VHS in and just missed the start. Always wondered why the drum kit was set up with the Plexi around it. Thought I missed her previous song. Sometimes guests played two songs. This must have been her only performance that night. Fell hard for her in an instant. Saw her in 93 at Metro in Chicago, and again on March 15, 96 at The Double Door, also Chicago. Just had to get her bootlegs (very exceptional), as well as everything else she did. I think the business really got to her. Try to locate " Lone Justice Live At The Ritz, NYC". Very emotional performer. After performing "Wheels", you could see her wipe the tears off her cheeks. Miss her lots.
I love Lone Justice. Stood at Maria's feet at their 1985 Peabody's show. I have The Ritz on laserdisc!!! Happy to provide the start of this clip to you.
She had so much charisma with Lone Justice and it's unfortunate that she seemingly never attempted to show off those strengths after the band broke up. Ideally, she should have gone into acting which is where she could show off her theatrical abilities to the fullest. When you get right down to it, she's no different than most in show business...except for the lucky few, most eventually fall through the cracks.
Under-appreciated by many. Not commercial enough for some. Too bad for them. What a greaat performance of this amazing song
Wonderful!

I was lucky enough to see Lone Justice headline at Peabody's Down Under in 1985. Fan boy!
Maria was and is soooo beautiful.
Loved that album. I wore out my vinyl LP back then… so many years ago.
I think it was a CD actually 🫤
Beautiful singer. Pure talent. On my loudspeakers since lone justice up to this day

I agree....when I saw Lone Justice in a small club in 1985 I was googly eyed
Wonderful.
Sums it up

Was 2:40 intentional or some electrical malfunction?
Her face looked like it may have been unintentional to me
No malfunction, in my opinion, it is rhe dynamic of that song, also on CD etc
Intentional
It was not intentional, it's the dynamic of the song
Who's that on the keyboards?
Bruce Brody. Saw them a couple months before this at a small club in Long Beach. Magical
Fellow Lone Justice member Bruce Brody. He toured with Maria for years through her solo career. Hi from Scotland 🏴
one of her poorer ones imho😮
