The labor rates is what kill drivers. Shops are charging over $200 hr for labor.

It's 500 not 200. They work 2hours and charge 4 plus markup on the parts
Yea, it’s more like 500, they take their sweet time so it’s 2 or more hours on something that takes a hour. One way I know cause I’m the guy sitting in the window in the lounge watching, lol

Thank you, Ryan.Not a new sub,love your channel. I live in Maryland & looking forward to getting an APU install from you soon. I replaced my whole DEF system last year...Filter,doc,dpf..E.T.C. (2016 T680). haven't even put 300 miles since installed. So if an appointment is necessary,how much advance notice would you need. Of course I know I will be dropping my truck off to you,I have family in the Midwest I can visit until it is finished. Thanks....

I hear if your going to idle, idle at a high rpm. Is that true?
I bought my truck at 345k miles and currently at 800k and always idle, never have had any issue with my DEF system other then sensors going out. Me and wife are a team so the truck is moving a lot but we never shut it off, 2016, 579 Cummins. When we do sit I hit the cruise and the rpm’s stay at 900
I've heard AND read about it as well, and do it with my truck. I believe the purpose of high idling is avoid a condition called "wet stacking." Wet stacking is basically unburnt fuel mixing in with oil after long periods on low idle. There's a video here on UA-cam by "Bearded Ford Tech" that explains what it is.
Hi Ryan, I enjoy your content. Question about emissions. I have a 2018 isx15. My heater hoses are melting at the doser valve. Do u have any ideas that may cause this? These hoses are supposedly not serviceable and are pricey to replace. I replaced them once and tgen it went to a shop. They melted at the shop while they were troubleshooting it and now I have to buy them again. They are the feed and return line. The feed is melting faster. Not sure that helps.
