If you rest during the day anywhere in the south, I’d highly recommend 600 amp hour. I have 800 amp hour at 12v and can go a full 34 with 550 watts of solar.

I would suggest a 600ah system for our 24v system. It uses more electricity to power the higher BTU unit

We are in the process of sourcing good solar panels. Will look into Merlin solar as well! Thanks. 🙏

Hi Ryan what type of battery would you recommend to be put under the Sleeper? Thanks

We highly recommend our starter lithium batteries. 5 year warranty, smart duo purpose batteries, not only start your engine, but also provide 400ah for APU needs. We will cover more topics of the batteries in the future videos.

Hey Ryan, I have a new to me 2020 International LT with factory installed Maxxforce Eaton EPU 300 alternator, 800ah battery system that works great for me. Mid roof cab. The truck has auto start/stop feature programmed to start truck when battery voltage drops below 12.3v and runs truck for about 70 minutes which I get about 2-3 hours before it repeats. On days that I run 9 hours or more, I get about 4-5 hours before the truck starts. Obviously on cooler days, I get longer run times. My question is upgrading to the lithium and would it improve my run cycles particularly in hotter regions? I’m working to get ThermoKing solar panels installed hopefully in the next month or so, upgrade my batteries because the one’s under my step are not AGM’s nor deep cycle batteries. I think the previous owner didn’t want to spend the money and really didn’t know how to get the best operation out of this system. I’m not sure how changing the batteries over from AGM to lithium would affect my system because the manual says that all 8 batteries should be AGM’s. What’s your opinion for those of us who have factory installed EPU’s?

Great question. Are you able to give us a call to discuss in details about your EPU setup? So we can give you some advises.
