Chocolate Fanatic Ikr! My country has spices in everything, I grew up LOVING vegetables and stuff along with my friends and I saw western kids in movies and stuff saying they hate greens and i thought that was quite odd because they were delicious. Then I learned that western people put little to no spices in food and it looked terribly bland and flavor less.
I agree with Jazz’s friend. People say they hate vegan diets when they try it but honestly it’s because they don’t know how to eat vegan. They should’ve tried more options than meatless sausage, spaghetti, and veggies. Like QUINOA! I Stan quinoa
Quinoa is the best! When I make vegan meals I almost always substitute ground beef (or other ground meats) for quinoa and it’s awesome! My favourite is quinoa taco “meat” 🤤😍
There’s always a weekly deals at the grocery store for fruits and veggies. Aldi is a cheap store for vegans. You can also constantly find good deals on unhealthy snacks that are naturally vegan yet not suggested to be eaten often.
literally the only thing you have to supplement is B12 and it's probably in every pharmacy bc tons of people are deficient regardless of diet. it is also superficially supplemented to farm animals btw
Javier Garcia Actually it's difficult only if you make it difficult. I live in a country that veganism is pretty rare but I can 100% say that it was so easy for me to transition... the hardest thing was to decide it! 😆😃
I find it funny how people think being vegan is boring. When in reality, my food is alot more vibrant now that I don't eat meats lol. It forced me to explore other foods.
*I've been vegan for almost 2 months, and here's what you need to know about us:* 1. We don't care if you're vegan or not, just don't make stereotypes about us 2. We eat a lot. I mean, A LOT. 3. We aren't healthy food addicts, we love sweets, pasta, and junk food too!! 4. Veganism is not expensive, as long as you know what to buy 5. Educate yourself before you say something about vegans 6. It's pretty easy being vegan. There's alternatives for everything, and plants taste good 7. We never restrict, and always listen to our cravings, and fill ourselves up! 💚🌿 *I also post videos on my channel too:))))*
EliseLife some things vegans need to know about normal people... we don't care if you're vegan. So get out of our faces about it. Jesus Christ, you need some milk
EliseLife I've been vegan since the day I was born. My mom raised me that way and this was totally true. Usually when I want people to eat my food I don't mention the fact that it's vegan and they live it!
As a vegan myself, I wanted to point out that it's important not to get in the mindset of "look at all the things I CANT eat" focus on all the things you CAN eat and are lucky to have access to❤️
Charlotte Solomon Or instead of "oh all the things I can't eat" it should be "look at all the things I could eat but I choose not to". "I'd rather have this instead. It's an easy switch to flip veggie burgers instead of the beef"
yes! i've been vegan for abt 3.5 years and i never say "all these things i CANT eat" because i could if i wanted to but being vegan is a lifestyle choice that i made because i wanted to, not an obligation that im forced into. i feel like a lot of people (not vegan) dont realize this.
I looked up Wetzel's Pretzels for you. They only "may contain" eggs and dairy. As a vegan I'd personally still eat it. Usually it means that they were made in a facility that has those ingredients, but they aren't part of the recipe.
Katie2595 because if I went to someone's house and they make me a fully vegan meal, I'd gladly eat it and praise them for their effort even though they have some milk or eggs in their fridge. I do like to support vegan companies, but I also like to support widely available chains with vegan options so they know there is a demand for vegan options. Maybe one day I will ethically source every product I buy, but I'm just not there yet.
Katie2595 showing support for vegan products from companies that are not vegan will encourage those companies to make more vegan items. Not everyone is vegan for the animals. People who are plant based for health probably wouldn't really mind if other people are eating. In my country people eat vegan food because they think it's a healthy fad they can dip in and out of. Every little change is a good thing from my point of view.
Shiro i love her so much!! Love her personality and her willing to embrace new things without saying something bad. Just straight up go for it attitude.
Ahhhhhh, I wish! I have been vegetarian almost as long as I have eaten meat before and I really want to switch to a plant based diet, but if I eat vegan for more than a day I get extreme and severely distracting milk/cheese/chocolate cravings 😭
Imo H. Haha that’s because dairy has been proven to be addictive. I get what you mean though, when I was switching from vegetarian to vegan, I too had strong cravings for dairy. Just try to gradually eat less and less dairy. I would also recommend learning about the benefits of being vegan e.g. environmental and ethical (Earthling Ed is a great UA-cam channel to learn from)💛
ive been vegetarian for 3-4 months now and i’ve never actually felt healthier?? im not groggy all the time!! and i stink less hehe. i might go vegan in the future. hopefully one day! (boyfriend has only gone pescatarian, he loves sushi- and steak.. but he’s trying really hard.)
@@imoh.6247 bro same. I've been vegetarian for a very long time now and I try to eat mostly vegan but it's so hard because I love eggs and cheese and I know that there are good vegan desserts but they just aren't as good as non vegan.
As a vegan I notice them talking so much about all the foods they can't eat and not even thinking about the why. Milk and cheese are animal products, yes. But the reasons it's unethical to consume them are the important part, not just the trendy vegan label. I would've liked to see them talk to an actual vegan about that and do a little research for themselves instead of just getting a list of things that aren't allowed. It's the same reason I love Merle's tasty vegan cooking videos. She always drops a truth bomb about how f'd up the animal product industries are.
@Flabberghasted Symphony I think I prefer the real thing that goes in the fridge and is made from real cream. Peas I'll eat as they are and soy I wouldn't touch with a barge pole. The other stuff that's supposed to be real cheese, sliced and seperated with plastic is just as bad as if it were made with plastic. No good at all. I think it's supposed to be Kraft cheddar.
@@kermitthefrog459 Whatever it is, it's not egg and vegan "so called cheese" should be re-named. They should have other names. I've got sick of having to fish my way though the fake stuff lately to find the real stuff. I've even picked up fake sausages because they're placed with real meat. Why are they called sausages? They are NOT sausages.
being a vegan for almost three years now I said tha biggest thing is not to complain about what u cant eat but be joyful on what u can eat and focusing on trying new vegies and fruits to get used to em
I love that they did this, but I just don't get why they didn't research what options, alternatives, and recipes they could try?? Like, if they enjoyed it cool, but they could have done it way better.
I’m happy they point out that not all vegan food is healthy. Some people think since it’s plant based it’s good and just eat crap anyway and at the end of the line you still put bad stuff in you. Only think that bothers me is they said vegan when they should be talking about plant based nutrition. Using the term vegan come with the moral aspect and the whole philosophy behind it and they haven’t made the change because of the animals cruelty in the meat and dairies industry.
Yes because what both vegans and vegetarians do is that even at restaurants we ask the staff about the products and stuff they put in their food. When I first started , a waiter told me that their rice was cooked using chicken broth. So I eventually found out a lot of restaurants actually use chicken broth in their rice. There’s small things they are actually very important .
Black Jade probably not, it looks like they just assumed some things were vegan without checking the label and sometimes there are things that we didn’t know/think were vegan but they are. Like regular Oreos are vegan, most chips and fries (unless fried in animal fats) are vegan, most pasta and most breads are vegan etc. You’ll find out very quickly just by checking the label if something has meat or dairy products in them.
during these kinds of vegan videos I would love to see them incorporate documentaries like Earthlings or Forks Over Knives and then give their opinions about those
earthling kay I agree. I think part of what makes being vegan easier than people think is because you know your reasons for doing it, and you know them well so the "sacrifice" isn't as big of an imposition. The knowledge you gain from these documentaries is so pivotal to veganism, so ignoring them is missing a huge part of the movement.
Kelsey Bordeaux scare tactic lmao. More like the actually truth. Don't get mad at us for showing you the truth. Get mad at the ones who hid it from you and lied to you.
I made a vegan lasagna for my non-vegan family but didnt tell them it was vegan. My mom though my brother bought it and my brothers thought my mom made it. Anyways, they ended up loving it and when I told them it was vegan, they were shocked to find out that the ricotta was made from cashews and tofu(they claimed they hated tofu), and the "meat sauce" was made from soy veggie ground and caramelized veggies. Moral of the story: vegan food can taste just as good, if not better if you actually take the time to explore all the amazing options available. Also the lasgna I made was lower in cholesterol, AND higher in calcium, protein and iron than a regular meat lasagna.
I would seriously try going vegan. But I would definitely get recommendations from a vegan friends before I did it so I wouldn't just eat vegetables and tofu and slowly starve myself.
Tianna McCray Definitively read up before doing it! You can become malnutrition during faster than you realise. But there are great supplements, so it's not all that hard c:
I really recommend it! Especially when meat and dairy consumption contributes massively to global warming, and lately we are seeing horrible effects of that. I think seeing what is happening in the world right now is good motivation for anybody who is considering veganism or vegetarianism or even pescatarianism to actually go through with it. I have been a vegetarian for 3 years and a vegan for 1, I have never felt better physically or mentally. Even if you struggle to commit to it fully, I know I did in the beginning, even just cutting back on meat and dairy is better than nothing!
@steak, steak tastes amazing without anything added to it even without salt or pepper its still great. i boil my chicken too without any added stuff and just eat rice and broccoli to maintain weight
i do, but when i do eat things that have a ton of flavor i appreciate the dish even more and take gratitude to the chef. I just don't want to add a bunch of butter and fats into my diet currently.
its "white" meat lol im not eating a bucket of chicken every day its just my source of protein..... and its affordable anyways im not frying my food either i dont know why you are being passive aggresive. It's not like im fat anyways or going my way out to buy a bag of chips. Compared to other meats its not that"fat".
Its debatable depending on what they put to make them. But classic pretzels are not vegan. And though more vegan revised version are coming up, the best is to simply ask or make them yourselves
Emily S. That was my starting point. I'm now learning how to fry, bake boil "meat". Tofu sounds gross. But when you actually cook it properly, it's yumm!
shoe laces Knowing and making a connection are two different things. Do you really think most vegans were not meat eaters before? They speak from experience.
WireyWalker ? Actually, you're wrong. Vegan means you don't eat and use any animal products. This includes cruelty free makeup, no leather products, etc.
I have been vegetarian for almost 3 years. I ate no meat for 2 years and now i eat some chicken because it’s hard at school with lunch but I haven’t eaten steak in 3 and a half years or anything that’s not chicken. I feel like I’m more happier that I’m not eating animals.
A lot of vegans are commenting that vegan is more than a diet. But the diet part of the lifestyle is the most 'famous' part of veganism. Changing only your diet will still have a huge impact on the environment and save a lot of lives. And since it is a big change, it will take some adjustments. For some people, it could be just cutting down on meat, instead of going cold turkey right away. So if people are only trying out the vegan diet for starters, let them deal with just that. Over time, they could become more interested in the ethical changes, and eventually go full vegan. But pushing them into it will just create more hostility. Even if someone did it only to be 'cool', or because of their health/body goals, where is the problem? They are still making a difference, and maybe inspiring more people to do the same. :)
I personally am vegan and I think you have some very great points. What I think people mean that it’s more than a diet is because diets are temporary but lifestyles are forever but, becoming vegan is definitely baby steps. I just hope some people will get inspired and try it out. You save about 100 animals for everyday you don’t eat meat!
If everyone becomes vegan, and all of the animals are saved. What would the earth look like? I love having a balanced amount nutritious food, but remember eating to much of one thing isn't actually good for you. That is for all food in general.
HereIAm247 I agree. I've recently become vegan and I made that decision myself. I 've noticed though that there are a lot of vegan activist who are pushing their vegan beliefs onto others which is then met with hostility. The diet approach is the best way to handle this situation. For example being vegan has it's health benefits such as weight loss...clearer skin etc. I've noticed this change in my body already particularly losing weight. If I've noticed I'm sure others around me have too. Which in turn will lead them to ask questions. When they ask me questions re my weight loss I can tell them it's due to me being a vegan and I'll be able to steer them to watch a video such as fork over knives for example. Hopefully taking this approach will lead them to become curious about veganism and they will start to educate themselves rather than it being pushed down their throat.
+That Thing You See At The Corner Of Your Eye I mean, I'm not a vegan myself so I'm not gonna tell people what they should and shouldn't be able to do but I'm just saying. Some people don't know.
It’s not really eggs that are the problem, it’s farm eggs. I live near a rescue center that sells their hens eggs to help them pay to rescue more hens.
this is great but please remember that veganism is about a lot more: love, non- violence, compassion, earth, it's environment and everyone in it. it's about a lot more than eating plant based (which is also great of course)
the word does mean "a person who does not eat or use animal products". you can definitely do those things and be a vegan. but it's sort of like... i can say that i'm an anti racist and never act in a racist way. but it's more than that, you know? what's going on in my head? my core values? it's not that we force ourselves to not eat or use animals, nature and other beings, it's that we don't want to, can't and won't. i'm a little drunk so idk if this makes sense.
Veganism is about whatever you make it about. It doesn't have to be about any of those things. It can simply be because you want to eat that way. Don't force your ideology on others.
Eboni Hanson no. plant based is when you are just eating a plant based diet. veganism is a lifestyle, it's more than just not eating anything from an animal. it's also not wearing or using anything that comes from an animal - clothes, shoes, make-up, hair products, cleaning supplies, etc.
Im confused, they were eating more than just a plant based diet. Oreos are not chips so if theyre not doing a vegan diet cause the clothes and makeup thing, and theyre also not doing a plant based, then what would the term be??
I’ve been vegetarian for 2 years, and this video is really relatable. Especially when they were talking about not being able to find “options”. Literally every party/event is just chips, chips, chips.
I wish you guys would do a vegan challenge for a month and actually become more knowledgable and aware of the ethical side of the lifestyle. I just feel like a weeks time span isn't long enough to really feel the physical benefits and also not long enough to realize how easy it truly is to be vegan especially in LA
Fashion and Beauty Inc. yes but they all struggled with it. It wasn't a knowledgeable video. The people who did it in the video almost starved themselves because they didn't think that they could eat anything.
I agree with Tay. Buzzfeeds channels reach millions of people, I just feel like they could share a better representation of the vegan LIFEstyle not just the diet. And if they were educated more on why people do this and how they do it correctly. This particular video was better because I think they had more awareness of how much you can actually still eat, but because it was only for a week it didn't have a full impact. And in this video they didn't look into the ethical sides of the lifestyle.
Brittany Marie Well people go vegan for different reasons. It would be wrong to just dedicate a whole vegan video on just the ethical side of things because that's not what everyone goes Vegan for. And by trying to shove this "SAVE THE ANIMALS!" narrative to people, you could potentially be driving a whole different demographic that was willing to listen. You're right though. They didn't make it super educational, however thwy showed that an average person can eat vegan and still find decent options. If you didn't see, the girl said she didn't starve.
What people dont get about veganism is that they feel that you have to give up so much. They dont understand that you dont you can still eat the foods you like in different forms and enjoy food but gain so much by knowing you are doing the best you can in not harming any other living being. Anyways i liked the video i like that they actually tried :)
I'm ceolica so for me it would be a limited diet and I'm from the UK so there's not as much options apesley on a GF diet. I knew someone who is vegan all the options had gluten in tasted bad before I was dignosed. Which is a shame because I like the idear of not harming aniamls but I have to eat to service. At a wedding I went to they would not do vegan or vegetarian options if your gluten free which is really bad😕😠. But for people who don't have food allergies I'm sure it's easy.
Plants are living. They aren't sentient. They have no ability to feel pain or suffer. Plants and animals experience the world in fundamentally different ways.
Leticia Simari so just cause they try to be vegan means they can’t eat they didn’t say they were going back what should I they have learned not to eat meat anymore dumbest comment so far
What they were supposed to learn is that veganism isn't always what people deem it to be, to find out something about a different diet and, for many, a different lifestyle, to learn about its pros and cons alike and to break a certain stigma to the public that is currently surrounding veganism because of many people like you. They weren't supposed to "learn" to hate meat... Hope that makes enough grammatical sense for you.
i mean they tried. they can’t just eat vegan meals for a week and be like yeah i’m making this change now and throwing out every other food ever. it’s a lifestyle not just a diet, they would have to transition into it. kind of how when black women transition from perm / relaxed hair back to natural.. it takes time.
"My goal is to cook more" ..."today I had oreos and chips" ..."we're out for dinner" But I did like this video more than other vegan buzzfeed videos. Most make me kinda annoyed but this one it felt as if everyone was taking it seriously and not just complaining the whole time about being hungry or bored of the lack of options. I've been vegan for years and I have always had such a wide variety of (healthy and non-healthy) food to eat.
Most oreos in America are vegan. I'm not sure about other countries, though. Just because they don't contain any animal products doesn't make them healthy, though!
@@johnbennett9027 very true being vegan doesn’t mean stop indulging in yummy food. You just know that mos rod your options will be good for you. Just gotta learn a bit more do some homework.
Please tell me in what ways? It’s almost January as I’m writing this comment today and I’m so excited for the journey for my body and soul and I’d like to know how it’s positively affected you
@@genesisrojas1015 it gave me so much energy, my skin cleared up, for physical changes. But it really really helped my mental health. I went vegan as a life change after coming out of a very mentally abusive and grooming friendship with someone. So it gave me something else to focus on and do for me.
Apparently most people don't know that in the US you are being bullshitted. Many US foods aren't real foods in the first place. Meat is still the best way to go, because biologically we are meat and bones not leaves and branches.
One of the major reasons why people don't go vegan is the price of vegan "meat" products. Vegan sausages, burgers, etc tend to cost a heck of a lot more than their meat counterparts. As far as taste goes, vegan products are on par and in many cases better than animal products(from a taste standpoint). My opinion on veganism coming from a meat eater is that if you are able to afford it, you should go for it. If I wasn't a poor college student and if my school offered more and better vegan options, I'd probably be a vegan myself.
Where I live, plant products are a darn sight more expensive than animal products. No joke, it costs like $3 for half a gallon of almond milk and around $2.50 for a gallon of cow milk.
Destiny Waits I can find chicken quarters for $0.39 per pound every couple weeks (as sales rotate). Chicken thighs for $0.49-$0.99 every couple weeks. A dozen eggs for $0.69. Whole pork loin for $1.09-$1.19 every couple weeks. Ground beef for $2.49-$2.99 every couple weeks. Please, tell me where I can find soy products for less than that 39 cents a pound.
I'm a pescatarian and I already do not eat dairy products and I feel amazing!!! I used to eat meat (other than fish) and whenever I did, my stomach would hurt. You never know, I might just end up being a vegan. Good job trying out the diet!
ViolinGirl. I get this too. I should probably stop googling but it seems to be low stomach acid (hard to digest animal protein) and that's sometimes tied in with PCOS...
angie vara I have the same issue! I stopped eating chicken, beef, pork and turkey over 10 years ago because of stomach problems. I just do fish and shrimp now, also dairy and eggs for extra protein.
As a vegan/vegetarian, I can tell you there are SO MANY amazing vegan companies out there! My absolute fave is Fieldroast, they make this awesomesauce Smoked Apple Sage sausage, IZ SO GOOD! They do vegan cheese, lunchmeat, and roasts as well! Other great companies are Tofurky (they make good lunchmeats, but I... don't like their sausages), Ives, Alvarado Street Bakery, and Gardein (They make THE BEST vegan CRAB CAKES and FISH FILLETS) A great alternative (NOT substitute, ALTERNATIVE. There is a difference!) to scrambled eggs is scrambled tofu, you put all kinds of veggies in a pan with the tofu and season it, SO GOOD! Also, some of my fav dishes are taking the Fieldroast sausage (any flavour) and put it in a casserole pan with potatoes, carrots, peppers, and onions, add some veggie broth and paprika, and bake it! And if you want a more gourmet meal, make some veggie meat (sliced sausages, roast, burgers, whatever) and make some wild rice, put the veggie meat on the rice with some gravy; fry some kale in coconut oil with onion and garlic and BAM! Gourmet meal! I am such a privileged 17yr old to have a mom that doubles as a perfect cook, she can take literally ANY dish and make it vegan!!!(without making it bland or flavourless!) She really needs to become world famous for her cooking, everyone we know that lives within a 50 mile radius of us absolutely loves her cooking! #MAKEMOMFAMOUS
It kinda bothered me that they said they felt so good about not eating animals and yet went to binge on flesh right after the week was over like.... tf
Kay Alyssa the fuq? And what magical thing you get from animals? I am 21years old male. I deadlift 600pounds which is way above avarage. In what way my diet as vegan is lacking something?
i’ve been vegan since birth. I feel like the world would be a better place if everyone was vegan. I never try to push Veganism on to other people, but I do think people should explore veganism because it really can help your life.
Miranda Dobrik it's good you've been exposed to it your whole life but like these girls in this vid a good majority of people have been fed meat and dairy their whole life so haven't had the choice given to them (besides this challenge) so they continue to clot their arteries with meat and dairy which could have pathogens in them that would increase their chance of illness. I admit I've only started my vegan path recently (I haven't completely removed animal products yet but next pay day I'm doing an online shop so I can guarantee myself it's vegan) but I know that I am able to live without meat since I used to only eat pasta for 3 years when I was between 9 and 12 so yeah I can live without meat it's just the dairy and other stuff I need to try cut out now.
Gracie Rain I love being Vegan ! I sometimes have cravings but not for actual meat but Tofu and "fake" meat like nuggets etc ♡ because I actually forgot how meat tastes like ( & Milk, cheese, eggs etc. )
Agreed! Love you to check out this inspirational short film feat. Earthling Ed if you get a chance, ua-cam.com/video/_P_fRM_3af8/v-deo.html so powerful
Proste Majka that's unfortunate. I'm a big fan of tofu but it can get very dull after a while, plus it's quite processed. May I suggest mushrooms for a substitute or order some vital wheat gluten off Amazon, if possible, to make seitan.
It's actually pretty easy to make tofu at home. I'm not vegan, but I do watch quite a few vegan recipe videos. Mary's Test Kitchen // Vegan Cooking is a great youtube channel and even shows you how to make tofu with three ingredients.
IKR LOL they have vegan cheese and a bunch of vegetable milk options available, as well as a bunch of vegan substitutes for diffeent types of meat, there's none of that where I live so i make all my vegetable milk and meat substitutes myself but it's honestly a lot of work
Unlikely. Humans are at the top of the food chain because we eat other animals. Also, meat and meat products provide important things. You can stay vegan I'm not trying to force you out. I'm just trying to make you aware of the major health issues that may ensue.
As far as being "top of the food chain." That's pretty hilarious. Let's see you go up against say a lion, or heck, any wild animal who is a carnivore. Just them and their nails and teeth and you and yours. Top of the food chain wins, right? Because you buy your meat in a pretty package at the store, or even if you go out and set traps or shoot your own food, does not make you top of the food chain. Now, have a nice day and please go educate yourself.
As I said. Do some actual research. I'd pay big money to see you go against a lion with sharp rocks and stick though. Be sure to post a video of that, m'kay? At the end of the day, just because you -can- do something, doesn't mean it's okay to do so. Animals deserve to live their lives, just like you do. I have a day to get on with now. One day, when you are serious about what you are talking about, you will do that research. Perhaps visit a dairy farm, a slaughterhouse... watch those animals being brought in and the condition of which they arrive. It's a shame really. It's cruel and completely unnecessary. I bid you a pleasant day.
I love this. So many other videos on this they refuse to eat substitutes, vegan junk food, etc. and only eat kale and quinoa and smoothie bowls and whine that eating vegan is so hard 🤷♀️
i've been vegetarian for the whole summer!! until, 10 of my cousins we're meat eaters and we're staying with me and they were all eating meat and i kept getting cravings. it was hard. extremely hard. i took a bite out of a sausage and spit it out immediately and started crying. after they left, I changed to a PESCATARIAN now. (vegetarian only eating fish). I'm trying to go back to being an actual vegetarian again.
It depends on the country in my experience vegetables in U.K. can be so cheap but fruits like berries are SO expensive. The use tends to have cheaper meals (pre made). Sweden has lots of vegan options everywhere but can be expensive
Could we just take a sacond to envy Jazzmyn how incredible she looks in EVERY glasses she puts on? It took me 6 effin weeks to choose one I wouldn't look ridiculous in and she seems to pick any pair and look amazing!

SPICES ARE EVERYTHING
I agree with Jazz’s friend. People say they hate vegan diets when they try it but honestly it’s because they don’t know how to eat vegan. They should’ve tried more options than meatless sausage, spaghetti, and veggies. Like QUINOA! I Stan quinoa
Jane Doe yum I love quinoa so much lol
Quinoa is gross 😝😝😝😝😝😝
Couscous!
Quinoa is the best! When I make vegan meals I almost always substitute ground beef (or other ground meats) for quinoa and it’s awesome! My favourite is quinoa taco “meat” 🤤😍

1. We don't care if you're vegan or not, just don't make stereotypes about us
2. We eat a lot. I mean, A LOT.
3. We aren't healthy food addicts, we love sweets, pasta, and junk food too!!
4. Veganism is not expensive, as long as you know what to buy
5. Educate yourself before you say something about vegans
6. It's pretty easy being vegan. There's alternatives for everything, and plants taste good
7. We never restrict, and always listen to our cravings, and fill ourselves up!
💚🌿
*I also post videos on my channel too:))))*
Wow, as a 12 year old vegan of two months, you're definitely an expert.
Edit: Sorry, *almost* two months.
EliseLife but being vegan is kinda homo
EliseLife some things vegans need to know about normal people... we don't care if you're vegan. So get out of our faces about it. Jesus Christ, you need some milk
EliseLife I've been vegan since the day I was born. My mom raised me that way and this was totally true. Usually when I want people to eat my food I don't mention the fact that it's vegan and they live it!
EliseLife Lmaooooo typical vegan
As a vegan myself, I wanted to point out that it's important not to get in the mindset of "look at all the things I CANT eat" focus on all the things you CAN eat and are lucky to have access to❤️
Exactly!
yes so true ,u can make anything vegan
PREACH!

Or instead of "oh all the things I can't eat" it should be "look at all the things I could eat but I choose not to".

The Not Busy Life yeah the plain pretzels are vegan
ya you just have to ask them not to add the butter on top
Why would you support a company that does use egg and dairy in its facility though.
Every little change is a good thing from my point of view.

if you start out as vegetarian, being vegan is very easy. (at least in my experience💛)

She always drops a truth bomb about how f'd up the animal product industries are.

during these kinds of vegan videos I would love to see them incorporate documentaries like Earthlings or Forks Over Knives and then give their opinions about those
earthling kay I agree. I think part of what makes being vegan easier than people think is because you know your reasons for doing it, and you know them well so the "sacrifice" isn't as big of an imposition. The knowledge you gain from these documentaries is so pivotal to veganism, so ignoring them is missing a huge part of the movement.
They are not here for doing propaganda videos
Earthlings is nothing more than a Scare Tactic.
+Kelsey Bordeaux it's about making people aware of what it is they are funding. Animals suffering and dying horrifically is not just a 'scare tactic'.

Definitely. I'm not just going to one day switch over to vegan without researching anything .
Its not as hard as it seems tbh. Just learn about food and you will be good (: if you go out look for vegan options. Its fearly easy
It's all about the seasoning and texture of food that makes it taste good really.
meat wouldn't taste good if we didn't season it and tenderize it and cook it as well
@steak, steak tastes amazing without anything added to it even without salt or pepper its still great. i boil my chicken too without any added stuff and just eat rice and broccoli to maintain weight

Fair point. But you know, there always seems to be that segment of people in a group that always criticize others as not being "true".
Amazing point of view
Hopefully taking this approach will lead them to become curious about veganism and they will start to educate themselves rather than it being pushed down their throat.

this is great but please remember that veganism is about a lot more: love, non- violence, compassion, earth, it's environment and everyone in it.
it's about a lot more than eating plant based (which is also great of course)
But vegan means non-animal products I think your just a hippie
the word does mean "a person who does not eat or use animal products". you can definitely do those things and be a vegan. but it's sort of like... i can say that i'm an anti racist and never act in a racist way. but it's more than that, you know? what's going on in my head? my core values? it's not that we force ourselves to not eat or use animals, nature and other beings, it's that we don't want to, can't and won't. i'm a little drunk so idk if this makes sense.
Is I dunno man some of you seem pretty hateful when they find out I eat meat with no regret
Is god put certain animals here for meat
Veganism is about whatever you make it about. It doesn't have to be about any of those things. It can simply be because you want to eat that way. Don't force your ideology on others.
can buzzfeed PLEASE learn the difference between plant based and vegan
Jon Ander Carvajal plant based is a simple diet meanwhile veganism is a lifestyle that includes that diet.
Viv Jean 👏👏 Thank. You.
I thought they are the same.
But they actually did a while back
Fashion and Beauty Inc. yes but they all struggled with it.
Brittany Marie ive been vegan for 2 months :)
You are harming plants. AREN'T PLANTS LIVING????????
Plants are living. They aren't sentient. They have no ability to feel pain or suffer. Plants and animals experience the world in fundamentally different ways.
I feel like the ending to this video was unnecessary and shows they really didn’t learn anything from the experience
Leticia Simari so just cause they try to be vegan means they can’t eat they didn’t say they were going back what should I they have learned not to eat meat anymore dumbest comment so far
Strictly Pineapple at least mine makes grammatical sense 🤷🏻♀️
What they were supposed to learn is that veganism isn't always what people deem it to be, to find out something about a different diet and, for many, a different lifestyle, to learn about its pros and cons alike and to break a certain stigma to the public that is currently surrounding veganism because of many people like you. They weren't supposed to "learn" to hate meat... Hope that makes enough grammatical sense for you.
Strictly Pineapple True
i mean they tried. they can’t just eat vegan meals for a week and be like yeah i’m making this change now and throwing out every other food ever. it’s a lifestyle not just a diet, they would have to transition into it. kind of how when black women transition from perm / relaxed hair back to natural.. it takes time.

Matthew Brunette meat is pretty darn expensive in comparison to soya.
Where I live, plant products are a darn sight more expensive than animal products. No joke, it costs like $3 for half a gallon of almond milk and around $2.50 for a gallon of cow milk.
Destiny Waits
I can find chicken quarters for $0.39 per pound every couple weeks (as sales rotate). Chicken thighs for $0.49-$0.99 every couple weeks. A dozen eggs for $0.69. Whole pork loin for $1.09-$1.19 every couple weeks. Ground beef for $2.49-$2.99 every couple weeks. Please, tell me where I can find soy products for less than that 39 cents a pound.
you could buy a package of lentils and chickpeas and oatmeal ect for pretty cheap and those things will last you a long time
Chickpeas and lentils both run closer to $2 a pound. Those $.39 chicken quarters last me a long time too.
"I just ate an egg I just ate a fuckin egg"
Freelee was so triggered with that comment
Kittymeowmeow K It's not alive. LOL!

I'm a pescatarian and I already do not eat dairy products and I feel amazing!!! I used to eat meat (other than fish) and whenever I did, my stomach would hurt. You never know, I might just end up being a vegan. Good job trying out the diet!
ViolinGirl I too am pescatarian and found my stomach problems disappeared when I stopped eating meat and poultry.
ViolinGirl. I get this too. I should probably stop googling but it seems to be low stomach acid (hard to digest animal protein) and that's sometimes tied in with PCOS...
Sudden change in diet can immediately make your body feel threatened because of the new stuff that is being introduced. You should be careful
Fish is meat...
angie vara I have the same issue!
Americans say that veggies are bland so let me introduce u to a word called SPICES
its the 7 day vegan challenge baby solves all your problems!!
Yo*
Lmao odd ones out
It kinda bothered me that they said they felt so good about not eating animals and yet went to binge on flesh right after the week was over like.... tf
ikr??
probably family and friends set up the barbecue to bring them back into the mass animal murdering cult.
They’re meat lovers, it says in the title
Joanne Wink if you didn’t like it perhaps you shouldn’t have watched a video about meat eaters trying a vegan diet ?
Wolfie Blackheart that’s cool that you’re going to go vegan💕😇
Miranda Dobrik wow you are very cool! Hope more people go vegan.
ironic (palpatine voice)
Nah i will never go vegan lol
Atleast they're saving animals for a week❤
saving? the meat they didnt buy in a store doesnt go on a field and eat grass. i get supply and demand but to say they saved animals is a bit much
AnuxAnu AnuxAnu yummy steak 🥩😋
@@waifu_png_pl6854 honestly you're probably the type of person that claims they're not racist because they have black neighbours lmao
@@waifu_png_pl6854 eating animals = killing animals. 💔

It wasn't 'funny' but it was clever. Actually that's just all puns in general.
Jazzmyne’s glasses are the biggest mood
Almost 2 years Vegan
How are you liking it and how or what do you eat to satisfy your meat cravings if you have any?
Gracie Rain I love being Vegan !
I sometimes have cravings but not for actual meat but Tofu and "fake" meat like nuggets etc ♡ because I actually forgot how meat tastes like ( & Milk, cheese, eggs etc. )
I'm almost 2 years vegan as well! Have never felt better in my life
U mean almost 2 years of being an idiot
+Derek Gaming If the definition of idiot is having empathy for voiceless creatures.
Am I the only one who noticed the face in the background of the car at 4:16 ?
Niamh Aoife omg that's horrifying
Niamh Aoife OML 😄
Niamh Aoife correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that was just the other girl in the background
Niamh Aoife Bon
HeyyItzSophia __ who the hell would have a mirror there?
I feel like the next time buzzfeed makes a vegan video, they should discuss what happens to animals
Agreed! Love you to check out this inspirational short film feat. Earthling Ed if you get a chance, ua-cam.com/video/_P_fRM_3af8/v-deo.html so powerful

Just because you point out facts you must be mad? ha ok
S Ba it seems like you're the one who's mad.
The diversity in this video and still all humans??? Smh racist buzzfeed
disappointing ending
It's so easy to be vegan in LA... Where I live you can only get tofu as a substitude for meat.
IKR LOL they have vegan cheese and a bunch of vegetable milk options available, as well as a bunch of vegan substitutes for diffeent types of meat, there's none of that where I live so i make all my vegetable milk and meat substitutes myself but it's honestly a lot of work
Proste Majka Tofu isn't good for you, so why bother? It's also not cheap. I live in NH and it's easy.
Callista Markham is it not cheap over there? €2 for 500g over here
I did the vegan week too that was 3 months ago still vegan and loving it!
so basically its the 7 day vegan challenge, baby (solves all yo' problems)
Just that video was more entertaining.
UntilDawn YES, FINALLY.
UntilDawn 5 days lol
*5 days
UntilDawn lmao mind reader😂👌🏻👌🏻
Going vegan was the best thing I ever did.
+Suzy Humans got to the top with their brains. We grouped up and armed ourselves with sharp rocks and sticks to take down things such as lions.
Mr Goldfish the only thing you cant get from plants is cholesterol.
I wish that they would've done more research, like watched some documentaries or read some books. They've only scratched the surface.
Allison Sulouff I guess most of the audience can only handle the surface
I really love adding the word "Like" to sentences for no reason.
At 4:14 lmao look at the eye peeking from behind her😂
And 4:15
Lmao 😂
I’m coming for your vegan *b o o t y*
Eating vegan is surprisingly easy. Potatoes and beans are your friend
I love this. So many other videos on this they refuse to eat substitutes, vegan junk food, etc. and only eat kale and quinoa and smoothie bowls and whine that eating vegan is so hard 🤷♀️
Anyone that says they "love" meat doesnt know what love is
Been vegan for a week! My only regret is not doing it sooner (:
kara urbaniak how do you feel??
kara urbaniak I've been vegan for almost 10 months and i feel fantastic! Keep going! Im thrilled for you! :)
Me too! I started in January!
CONGRATS just a lil advice: eat eat eat
i've been vegetarian for the whole summer!! until, 10 of my cousins we're meat eaters and we're staying with me and they were all eating meat and i kept getting cravings. it was hard. extremely hard. i took a bite out of a sausage and spit it out immediately and started crying. after they left, I changed to a PESCATARIAN now. (vegetarian only eating fish). I'm trying to go back to being an actual vegetarian again.
The chips one of the girls was eating are not vegan because they have cheese in them
maybe it vegan cheese?!
She got the Maui onion flavor
The Maui onion contains milk
Vegan for 2 months! Never felt better
It depends on the country in my experience vegetables in U.K. can be so cheap but fruits like berries are SO expensive. The use tends to have cheaper meals (pre made). Sweden has lots of vegan options everywhere but can be expensive
That last part is so savage
Her sunglasses 😂😂😂 I need those in my life
Shara Very expensive glasses XD
Could we just take a sacond to envy Jazzmyn how incredible she looks in EVERY glasses she puts on? It took me 6 effin weeks to choose one I wouldn't look ridiculous in and she seems to pick any pair and look amazing!
Lindsay looks so good even close up but when my face is close up to my phone camera I look like an zombie
*Actually u look delicious so I dunno what your talking about* 😂
Nadia Thats it 😂😂
