    Lots of people bag on Lars but he was one of the innovators of a new style of drumming. We forget the patterns he was playing are now part of the lexicon of all modern metal drummers. The syncopated rhythms on the double bass. The lazy triplets. The sound of his drums were different. Every drum sound in the 80’s was huge booming bass with a gated snare with a bunch of reverb added in post. With Lars everything was tight and sat up in the mix. Let’s give credit where credit is due.

    The greatest metal song in the world! There's no better son lg in the world if you ask me. Sure Master is good but this shit is complex riffs and time changes I love it. Kudos to Jason Newsted for the main riff in this song. So if you guys think James wrote the main riff your wrong. It was Jason's riff and after James heard It he said this should open the album. And boy did it

      @MrMOGHammer 7 років тому +9

      especially the bass line. The best ever... Seriously Justice is the best Metallica album, for song writing prowess, arrangements, and very complex drum tracks. Certainly not for its poor production value (although I do like how it sounds, it is still far from being perfect on a professional note on the production side of things)

    •  7 років тому +9

      Mario Dupuis The guitar and drum sounds are second to none in AJFA. Just listen to those palm mutes! Like holy fuck, no other album has those perfect palm mute sounds. And the drums sound badass. The bass was essential repeating what james played anyway. Its my favorite metallica album hands down.

    • @danny355
      @danny355 4 роки тому +1

      Agreed. Justice has such a dark sound to it, people who go on about the lack of bass are strange, they're missing out on what IS there, which is something different and IMO better. James and Lars were at the absolute top of their game on Justice.

  • @AsrielTheMetalRhythmGuitaristA

    5:09 - 5:27 gives me chill, Guitar goes back to Main riff but changed abit and Drum goes straight to Verse riff but offbeat. Clever

    I strongly despise megadeth fan boys, when I asked was Lars ever a good drummer in an album they stated , no he's shit, napster bitch, etc. In my opinion he was a beast

      I recall them saying they won't play songs like Spit out the Bone live.

    Couldn't agree with these comments more... As a guy in my 40s, who was incredibly influenced by 80s/90s Metallica (made me the metal-head I am), actually seeing someone play these parts is very impressive and just plain fun. Justice is my favorite album of ALL time, by ANY band. Your Justice Medley is amazing too. Keep churning out tunes, Josh. I love 'em.

    You know, considering you make something like $45 a month (If I recall correctly) on UA-cam, you should consider setting up a Patreon.
    That way, if people decide to be a patron, you'll have a more steady cash flow to maintain your kit and stuff, as opposed to having to rely on random donations on PayPal.

      +sadsadsa asadasd Well, Josh makes videos which are comprised of covers of copyrighted songs. If he did instrumental songs of his own, he would have no problem receiving profit, because they'd be his own making, thus, not elligible for copyright by anyone else but him.
