    All I'll say is, my family in Mexico, who have a successful business and has no intention to leave it, have to wait 2 years for an interview to attempt to get a visiters visa to visit the USA. I can't imagine how long it'll take to live here...

    The political parties have changed so much in the past 5 years. It does not change the figurehead of who they represent, the People. Abbott sending immigrants to DC was a power move to engage those who push open borders to see the results of their ideology. It is changing their support and will bring a big change in November.

      The same can be said about immigration. Democrats brought a bill that had a way to streamline and combat a lot but Republicans need that not fixed since the only way they get votes is via scare tactics regardless of truth. Which is why Trump didn’t want it passed. But let’s keep pucshing right wing conspiracy theories as possible. Quoting Joe Rogan solidified their source of news. Not Reuters or neutral info

    there has always been immigration to the US, legal or illegal.. almost all US citizen are not going to work at farms/ranches for pennies, basically below minimum wages, except farm migrants or illegals. The big problem has been, that most of the low-medium skill work has been contracted out to cheaper countries, except for some that held by union workers, most of the manufacturing in the US, is basically high skill. which most migrants cant touch, unless they in hi-tech via the B1 visa. A lot of companies have moved out of China for last 5 years+, mostly because of cost, lately because of political climate, moved mostly to India and SE Asia, like Vietnam/Thailand. But there have been some moving towards Mexico, because of NAFTA, can export to US/Canada cheaply. So in my opinion, a solution could be that the US helps Mexico set up more industrial manufacturing, so that most migrants want to stay in Mexico for easy work, dunno how its going to work politicallly

      Mexicans staying in Mexico working in a textile factory isn't going to get strawberries picked in California and potatoes picked in Idaho. Make the immigration easier, at least to get the work permit so that people can get work and keep prices down. Few if any americana want to do this manual backbreaking labor

    • @EASTCOASTNATURE
      @EASTCOASTNATURE 9 місяців тому

      Thats very easy to say considering how unbelievably corrupt Mexico as a whole is. You can't take one step towards bureaucracy in that country without pay off 10 people. Until this is systematically fixed, setting up more industrial manufacturing will only feed into the benefits of corrupt leaders at the top.

    gaining citizenship through military service is not always a garuntee. back in 1960-1970 the hmong in Laos worked with the CIA and US gov and originally agreed upon that if the hmong failed in the civil war in laos, they would need asylum from the US gov. but when nixon pulled out of vietnam they also pulled out of laos. leaving the hmong people to face genocide for nearly 30 years, till the 90’s basically. the US gov couldn’t really accept them as agreed after nixon pulled out so many hmong people stayed at refugee camps not recognized as citizens and needed to wait out the immigration process. because of the big wait after the vietnam war, the US gov removed the chinese exclusion act which brought the biggest waves of migration upwards of 100k-300k migrations / refugees because of the vietnam war, half of the estimate were hmong people. hmong people were not accepted into the US as originally agreed upon. many hmong people and family’s are not recognized by the US gov for their sacrifices. as the ones who are recognized have to be vetted and that in itself is its own process.
    just because you fight for america doesn’t mean you’re american. i can look at the blood spilled effecting my family from these american wars before we even stepped foot in america

    2:00 . To add to bart. In the last decade more Mexican are leaving the U.S then entering. Most of the ones coming in South and Central. It just sucks that makes who is the country closest to the U.S. and its a neutral country meaning they got open borders for everyone which i think needs to change with Mexico

    Also the issue is that we already had so many illegal immigrants who work for what they have and nothing has been given to them. They’ve been waiting for a reform for decades and hoped Biden would to that but instead of doing that Biden is bringing in more immigrants

    So because it takes time to get approved to come in to the US it's ok to just break the law and come in? If you wanted to go to Japan but they didn't expect your visa does that give you the right to just try to enter anyways? All countries have laws that need to be followed including the usa.

      Japan is a surrounded by water and is a whole nother story. Their language is harder to learn and it's much easier to single out immigrants because of the homogeny of Japan . The lower US is quite used to mexican,central, and southern american people. I'm not advocating to break the law but the law needs to be changed to allow people to gain citizenship quicker and with less hassle
