FOUND IT! The birth of Vay-Ner-Chuk! I just scoured through your videos to find out when you first started saying your name like this, and here it fuckin is. October 19, 2006. A date forever marked in history. Do I deserve a signed book for this? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. But I've got one helluva factoid to throw at your fans in the future!

I know this video is ancient now, but I'll tell my story anyway. At a previous job, we'd formed sort of a wine club where we'd bring bottles and taste. It was a good time! Now, one problem was that the office didn't have enough wine glasses, so we'd sometimes resort to those red solo cups.
Anyway, I remember I'd brought in a Chinon cab franc and we were all sitting around tasting it. I had a wine glass, and the woman next to me had the solo cup. Now, normally I know that scent is a sense memory and that people can smell all kinds of things when it comes to wine, but she remarked about smelling something completely out of left field compared to what I was smelling. For example, to my nose, there was a little ragout. Anyway, we decided to swap cups for a couple of sniffs/sips, and holy shit.. I don't recall all of the differences, but boy was the difference huge. That moment was both her and my awakening.

I think glasses make a difference in how the wine smells and taste. I’ve tested 3 of my glasses with many different wines, and there are differences, not drastic but it changes the nose and pallet.

I heard of this before but I need to try it out for myself. Obviously you wern't drunk like drew thinks. You were taking sips if any, and the whole bottle isn't gone. Anyways, I think its worth doing to check out which glasses are best. I think it would be cool to try it with same shape different matterial.

heads up buddy ! the the head, or the neck of the wine bottle should never touch the lip of the glass.. good habit to keep especially for polite company...p,s , Love, the rating-you gave the Chianti-Bellagio.. on the last video..Good job!!

Do you leave the wine in the decanter for four hours? Or do you just pour it back in the bottle and drink it 4 hours later?

Riesling and Chianti are drunk from the same glass? That's surprising to me. Can someone explain to me why?

Thanks for backing up this video by 'peer review'.
Yes he swallowed a few times but so what, it's his pallet that tasted the difference. It wasn't like tequila shots that get the affect right away, So thank for telling dreaw86 the difference,

So basically, having the right wine glass only compliments the best nose and taste as it's intended to be?
