I have spent 4 years on Rolex EOI lists, for 2 watches, first 2 years for a SD43 and another 2 for a green OP41 - the result? Nothing! I’ve recently woken up to myself, I’m embarrassed for myself, a man in his 50’s - going in my local AD to suck up to some 23yo sales assistant for the privilege of spending AU$10 - 17K on a watch. I hate myself for the nonsense that I participated in. I donated AU$5k to charity and bought an Omega.
I absolutely admire your honesty especially reference the 23 year old sales rep. I popped into my local Omega shop and picked up a Seamaster Diver 300 on a steel bracelet in white (I could call it “polar” dial but then I’d be as bad as everyone else). The 25 (ish - poetic licence) female sales assistant was professional, engaging, witty and just plain nice. As part of my limited bargaining skills I paid retail but got the rubber strap and deployment clasp (about 10% of the overall value) thrown in for free. It’s bloody lovely and people don’t come up to me and say “is that real or is it a fake?” if I had the old Submariner on my wrist. I’m well chuffed with my Omega and I can feel slightly smug amongst the Rolex masses 😂😂😂😂😂
I also gave up on a no date sub, i was able to find a green seamaster just days after it wss released and that watch has seen more wrist time than any other watch i ever had, i just hope the rolex bubble hype burst as well as all their brokers.

The fact they’re churning out 1.2-1.3m watches a year tells you it is NOT market manipulation. Rolexes are just so in demand. Even people with no watch knowledge want one when they have a bit of cash ready…Omega on the other hand offered me a discount on their beautiful world-timer.

Frédéric Arnault is the new CEO of LVMH Watches and will bring his new and refreshing ideas to ensure LVMH/Tag Heuer's sponsorship of F1 Racing will be successful. Plus his father and Tag CEO Julien Tornare will work together to succeed.
Good strategy from Rolex, and good for Tag Heuer. And let's be honest:: Tag is moving in the right direction, and making some beautiful watches. Just the looks of their Tourbillon makes your pulse go faster.
If Tag Heuer sponsors F1 I will still want a new Rolex at retail from an AD. If I cannot get one (I can't btw) I would rather have an Omega than anything by Tag Heuer.
TLDR: Breguet Classique (style) in ~38mm and small seconds? Hi Andrew. Thanks for the amazing video! I'm shamelessly hijacking it for an odyssey of a watch-hunt I'm currently on. Since now roughly five years, this is driving me absolutely crazy. I once hold a Breguet classique in my hands and it was just absolutely beautiful. It was the 5157 and it was love at first sight. However, it felt very unbalanced to me on the wrist with the massive whitespace in the southern hemisphere of the dial. The brand has some watches with small seconds complications, but only in 34mm which looks absolutely tiny on my wrist (e.g., 5907). Another option would be the 5140, but the 40mm are marginally but noticeably too large. Additionally, the off-center small second subdial annoyed the hell out of me. I searched far and wide for any independent brands that would make a similar watch but in 38mm and with the beautifully simplistic small seconds complication. Do you know whether something like this exists? Is there any independent watchmaker that is maybe roughly in the same ballpark and I can nerdsnipe them into considering such a project?
Idk, I don't see many to choose from at my local jewelry. They've been houred by rich people who paid two or three times the value for a Panda Daytona.

Rolex could afford to lose all of its sponsorships but they will still have its name recognition
Rolex is real scared. Haha. Still can't get many stainless models out of case. Half the people whining would jump right in the car if they got the call. I have 1 Rolex. If I get call on Titanium, i will jump in car.
I always wear one of my Rolex's when driving my Bentley.
If you have the money of Croesus, you can buy anything to advance your offspring's career, but the money can only buy you so much. Andrew should examine the parallels between Bernard and Frédéric Arnault and Lawrence and Lance Stroll.
Haha "Quentin Blake illustration Bernie Ecclestone".
Andrew Morgan, the only watch reviewer not seduced by Rolex marketing. Andrew's not a hater if he speaks the truth
Did San Martin competed ,or waiting for next year sponsorship?
This is now my favourite watch channel on UA-cam , such great content and done superbly, well done sir and I got my favourite watch at amzwatch, it hasn’t left my wrist for weeks
Tag Hauer "aquaracer" is a straight up copy of the Omega Seamaster. it's pathetic.
The "hawk tuah girl meme" just refused to die
It wasn’t the blue milk drinking kid that threw Palpatine! Just saying.
If Tag Heuer sponsors F1 I will still want a new Rolex at retail from an AD. If I cannot get one (I can't btw) I would rather have an Omega than anything by Tag Heuer.
Love the F1 driver references!
Im bored about Rolex, i like anothers brands more than rokex
I doubt that Rolex is worried......
Tag should drop the Tag and go back to Heuer. Having Heuer sponsor F1 is the best result.
When you said Hublot I nearly spat out my red wine 🍷 but it could be them; or it could be Zenith?
Another jab at Ocon 😂 marvellous.
