Today Gary tastes a wide variety of "THINGS" to show you how important many of the flavors are to training your palate to find them in wine. Have a good weekend.
Its called cocaine. However, I wouldn't recommend trying it, its highly overrated, as are most illegal drugs. Alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, LSD, and DMT are pretty much the only intoxicating substances on Earth which have positives outweighing their negatives, and only 2 or 3 of those are illegal depending on what state you live in.
how I stumbled on this random episode is beyond me, BUT. IT. IS. EXACTLY. WHAT. I. NEED. I got my first bartending job earlier this month, and I'm definitely going to be looking into getting a handful of these ingredients to start getting my palate trained up.
Gary is weird, but for a sock tasting jets fan. He’s alright. the more i get know about wine the more i. m impressed by Gary’s wine knowledge and palate
This is hilarious and I am baffled that he can eat all this stuff so fast. His skittles comparison when tasting wines over the years is a very good way to identify taste and aroma. I also suggest going to a fresh market and smell as many fruits, veggies and herbs as possible
I love this episode more than most.... ahahhahaha... I was out of my seat a few different times. Also, open a fresh can of tennis balls, smell that puppy... I also like to make fruit reductions and smell and taste them. Great work tho
A lot of these aren't available easily where I live. They are available, but I have to probably flip the city upside down to find it. So I think I'll go by how you started tasting - read the tasting notes on the wines and go buy those things from where ever I can... instead of spending time hunting all of these things. Let me know what you think. Great stuff as always.
I found this very stupid. Such a waste of food; I guess this was some sort of rich kid or was just never taught not to play with food? If you are mindful when doing things in your daily life (cooking, take your time when going to the grocery store/market, go out hiking, etc), you can experience way more flavors and aromas than just stuffing your mouth with one thing after the next. A minimum of common sense indicates that our senses can only handle so many sensations at a time. I'm sure you knew that.
bruh. He turned a 3 million dollar wine shop into a 50 million dollar wine company. You cant say anything about his taste in wine or his usage of money.
+azifri wasting food is bad. but he is using it for educational purposes, he is probably gonna eat a lot of it later, and you don't know shit about wine compared to this guy so don't give him advice on how to do his thing.
How great is it to watch these videos 10 years later, before youtube became the worldwide TV.
Lmaooo died at the end with him eating the dirt. Man was always committed to his craft. Love it.
I really like the smell and taste of dirt
Most entertaining wine class I've ever had.
i love gary!! i love that he went from calm to crazy in not that long

This is the most hysterical episode. I love it. He definitely deserved that $180 bottle of crystal.

Yeah, clove paralyzes your mouth... that's exactly why it was used in so much dental stuff. Prob should'a saved that one for last.

So having money is an excuse to waste food? I guess that kind of mindset is why the world is the way it is...

Why are you so butthurt?
