A lot of water bottles have openings that are too narrow for water bottle brushes or the bottle has a part of it the brush _cannot_ reach no matter what (mine goes in the latter category and has almost too narrow of an opening for a water bottle brush)

Keep a bottle with a mixture of bleach and water. One to 10 ration. It will sanitize the bottle. This is all that is required and is often told to businesses inspected by health departments.
It legit says that it gets into places where brushes can't. To be fair the brushes can't get into the bottom part where there's a seam. Companies seem to love this design as yes it collects stuff that can't be scrubed so it then causes the cycle of buying a new bottle.
Another way is to drop a denture cleaning tablet into the containers, allow to stand for an hour then shake them , empty and rinse. But I wear dentures so I always have them available.
Another tip: tore some papers into small pieces, fill it inside the bottle up to the brim, pour some water, close the bottle tight and shake it well for a few minutes. Pour the mixture out and rinse. The bottle will be clean. It removes all stains. If necessary, repeat.

Once I left chocolate milk in my hydro flask for 3 months and the smell was terrible; no matter what I did, it wouldn’t go away. I literally used one of these, but not even that could kill the unholy biohazard I created. Edit: I think it was cheaply manufactured so the material isn’t even stainless steel 🫠 I tried the vinegar trick, it made it worst and few other things. Probably best to just invest in something which is ACTUALLY made of stainless steel…
the easiest one might be adding baking soda and warm water into the bottle and letting it set for a bit before pouring that out and rinsing it one more time with water . if you still feel unsatisfactory *after doing this* , just scrub the insides normally with dish soap
How I clean my bottles: 1) Boil water 2) put boiling/hot water into the flask with dish soap 3) close and shake 4) open the lid using a very cold wet towel
for real. i dont even use boiling water, i just wash it really well with a bottle brush and some dish soap every two weeks and call it a day. ive had my hydroflask for years and it still smells great and looks shiny and clean.
If ur bottle has a unpleasant smell just add a bit of salt and shake with water and the scent is gone before i used soap but it still had a nit of the scent there
Denture tablets from the dollar store work great as well - clean, remove tea/coffee/soda stains too. Come in handy for cleaning vases and I've even tossed a few into the toilet for a quick freshening and stain removal. Biggest issue with water bottles are hidden cracks/seams that can grow stuff, gaskets that you can't remove to clean under, or lids with sliders that make it impossible to access every area to clean or that hold water in there.
Denture cleaning tabs work fine as well and they are probably much cheaper than whatever he just used. I use two of those tabs in my one.liter tea bottle and it is clean after I leave them in over night. Rinse with warm water, done.
When I worked at McDonald’s, the coffee pots would sometimes have burnt coffee stuck in the bottom that was hard to clean. They got like that if someone forgot to turn of the machine when they were done with it. Our manager had us clean them using salt, cold water, ice and lemon juice. Worked like a charm. The salt was abrasive, the lemon juice helped dissolve the mess, and the ice kept the salt from dissolving in the water. Also, the ice would scrub the gunk with the salt when you shook the pot around. It was pretty cool and very satisfying lol
When I was about 5 my mom gave me one of these and I thought it was water flavoring so I put it in my water and at school it tasted like soap but I thought I was just overeating so I continued to drink the whole bottle and later that day I had a really bad stomach ache and went to bed early and woke up the next day with a bad sickness and I didn’t want to tell my mom what I had done so she took me to the doctor and they couldn’t figure it out so she referred me to a stomach doctor and on the way home I told my mom what I did and she was so mad, I was grounded for at least 2 weeks. Would not recommend 😂

My tip: fill the bottle with a little bit of soap and water, use a very thin sponge, fold it until it fits the bottle mouth, use a long chopstick to control the sponge to scrub that hard to reach areas.
I use Ammonium chloride and warm water to do this. Yes I use chemical acid to clean my stuff, and just so you don't destroy your stuff, it's really effective at removing everything, so if you have a design inside or outside of your cup, it is strong enough to remove that design
No just get 80-91% isopropyl alcohol, (rubbing alcohol that every store has), get kosher salt,(bigger grains) and very hot water, fill it with salt first then throw in a small amount of alcohol, swish it around, then add in the hot water and repeat until clean. Get 100% of everything out even in hard to reach places
The single best bong cleaner ever is called headie Eddie's. It's like denture cleaner on steroids. It's fixed water stains for me. I use it on some intricate pieces and there's nothing better. Scoop in some powder after rinsing the piece and pour in boiling water to the top and plug the joint. No shaking or breaking, just let it sit for 30 minutes to a couple hours and rinse it out. I havent gone back to iso or other cleaners in 2 years. Shits fire.
Fyi: denture cleaning tablets also work in a pinch since they share the same main ingredient (sodium carbonate peroxide).The overall ingredient composition is slightly different, & I don't think denture cleaning tablets are *as* effective on bottles compared to these, but if you use a few extra, I think they'd get the job done just the same. Just make sure to find ones that are NOT mint-flavored!!!
You don’t need this. Use dish soap and put it in your water bottle. Next, get a fish scrubber and start scrubbing away. Problem solved. If you want to buy this go ahead but it seems unnecessary to me.
Maybe they couldn't find a long enough bottle brush, or one that fits in one of those bottles that have mouths that are literally one inch in diameter.
When i don’t have a bottle brush, I put water in the bottle with soap. I put the cover in the bottle and shake it. I rinse it and now that’s how i clean bottles.
I have in my life never used anything specific for water bottles or my shakers because I believe people just know that washing after a day of use is expected. :(
First of all, wash your bottle after every use. Second of all, if you followed the first step, you know that just putting water and soap, closing the lid and shaking is enough.
I wash mine daily with hot water & soap. Once a week, I do a full deep clean with baking soda, soap, & boiled water. Mold poisoning is no joke. No, I didn’t get sick from lack of cleaning. It was a specific bottle with a flawed design. Yes, it got tossed lol

Better idea: get some soap, a good water source can be any temperature and a sponge or if you really want to ahead and use your hand!
Another tip : take some toothpaste and some water scrub it for about 2 mins and rinse it works pretty well if u want it done fast

Nah these work really well with taking out odor too, I still scrub out the bottle when using these but these are great at a really complete clean

Small drops of bleach would do the trick
Soak it in bleach water
Use Ajax bleach and dawn soap. Fill it with warm water, leave it for 4 hours or more, and wash it.
Fill it with baking soda and let it sit for another three months.

My tip: fill the bottle with a little bit of soap and water, use a very thin sponge, fold it until it fits the bottle mouth, use a long chopstick to control the sponge to scrub that hard to reach areas.
30 mins of hot water and a dishwasher tab will also do the job. It works GREAT for getting stains out of thermo coffee pots too.
I use Ammonium chloride and warm water to do this. Yes I use chemical acid to clean my stuff, and just so you don't destroy your stuff, it's really effective at removing everything, so if you have a design inside or outside of your cup, it is strong enough to remove that design

No just get 80-91% isopropyl alcohol, (rubbing alcohol that every store has), get kosher salt,(bigger grains) and very hot water, fill it with salt first then throw in a small amount of alcohol, swish it around, then add in the hot water and repeat until clean. Get 100% of everything out even in hard to reach places

The single best bong cleaner ever is called headie Eddie's. It's like denture cleaner on steroids. It's fixed water stains for me. I use it on some intricate pieces and there's nothing better. Scoop in some powder after rinsing the piece and pour in boiling water to the top and plug the joint. No shaking or breaking, just let it sit for 30 minutes to a couple hours and rinse it out. I havent gone back to iso or other cleaners in 2 years. Shits fire.

Fyi: denture cleaning tablets also work in a pinch since they share the same main ingredient (sodium carbonate peroxide).The overall ingredient composition is slightly different, & I don't think denture cleaning tablets are *as* effective on bottles compared to these, but if you use a few extra, I think they'd get the job done just the same. Just make sure to find ones that are NOT mint-flavored!!!

Fun fact: there’s probably slime in your water bottle. When u don’t clean it, a gross layer of bacteria called biofilm forms. It can even make u sick!
You don’t need this. Use dish soap and put it in your water bottle. Next, get a fish scrubber and start scrubbing away. Problem solved. If you want to buy this go ahead but it seems unnecessary to me.
i don’t have a bottle brush because I clean out the water bottle every day and have only put water in it ever

Maybe they couldn't find a long enough bottle brush, or one that fits in one of those bottles that have mouths that are literally one inch in diameter.

When i don’t have a bottle brush, I put water in the bottle with soap. I put the cover in the bottle and shake it. I rinse it and now that’s how i clean bottles.
I have in my life never used anything specific for water bottles or my shakers because I believe people just know that washing after a day of use is expected. :(

I wash mine daily with hot water & soap. Once a week, I do a full deep clean with baking soda, soap, & boiled water. Mold poisoning is no joke. No, I didn’t get sick from lack of cleaning. It was a specific bottle with a flawed design. Yes, it got tossed lol

We usually just wash it normally then stick it in our chlorine pool. The smell and gunk gets cleaned really good
