BEST concise clear tutorial EVER! No rambling, no long winded unnecessary commentary....just perfect and clear instructions. Thank you! Signed, your newest fan! :-)
I agree! Some craft videos are women just rambling on w no clear point, but she is amazing. I love her clear voice and instructions. Great videos! Better than any other UA-cam crafter!
Agreed. I usually need to watch DIY videos a few times before I can completely wrap my brain around everything but I just watched it once and feel like I can jump right in now. Thanks!! :)
I have been so nervous for months trying to convince myself that I could do this and I’m not kidding you you have the best video. It’s just perfect for beginners and you’re easy to listen to and you give instructions extremely well. Kudos to you Darling. Thank you so much.
Thank you and thank your parents for having you...I was having a nightmare with bleeding, but you made the solution so obvious without being as patronising as I deserve. Liked and subbed
Bless your heart for making this simple concise easy to follow video!!! I thought I could do it with just 2 colors.,dumb me..I started all over and followed your video and it came out exactly how I wanted it to look!! Thank you so much you’re awesome!
You can “seal” your tape with modge podge! Basically paint it over your tape before your actual paint and it will keep your lines crisp! Soo you can paint with a brush instead of the extra time with the sponge because it will prevent it from bleeding and have crisp lines! Seriously, the best craft tip I’ve EVER LEARNED!
I personally do not use modge podge. Modge Podge is not very cost effective. Painting with a brush although might save a little time doesn't appear to have the same effect for me personally when I am working on buffalo plaid as I like the look the sponge achieves.
I love your videos. You are so creative and generous with your talent. After watching you paint buffalo checks, and I must say your instructions were right on, I had to give it a shot. My first try turned out pretty good for a beginner and I can't wait to try it again. I have always enjoyed repurposing and I find that since I retired it's important to keep my creative juices flowing. And your videos are so encouraging. Keep up the good work.
This is by far the best tutorial for Buffalo plaid/check that I have seen. I have looked at a million different ones and yours tops them all! Thank you so very much for taking the time and your talent in making this video. FINALLY, it makes sense and I can finally get it done. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have wanted to paint buffalo check but it seemed so intimidating that I would not even try. By following your video I know I can do it!
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Did I say whoa? It can NOT be this easy! Now I have to try this. I've been watching you and know that you are creative and talented. But I can add tutorial MASTER to your accomplishments. Thank you. Now I have to find a surface to try this on. I'm so excited! xoxo
Best tutorial i have seen ! The way that you do the second layer with the spacer first makes so much sense to me now!.. mine never comes out that clean!!
Awesome tutorial! I will definitely be trying this and watching more of your videos. Thank you for talking to us like we have some common sense and knowledge. I appreciate the straight to the point instructions
What a funny topic. You do everything thorough and clear. Sadly here in Maine a ne’er do well wannabe cult leader named Bryan Denlinger is doing all of his rants in Buffalo plaid. He is originally from Pennsylvania but thinks if he dresses the part he will become some sort of woodland messiah. Can’t even chop wood. He certainly couldn’t change his own alternator! I just thought you should know the UA-cam sitch.
Great tutorial, concise and clear! Nice speed when explaining, so many people ramble on. Now to mention how very nice your project turned out, very crisp lines you have got it down pat girl! Don't change a thing!
Wow! The end result!!! You are an excellent instructor. I have watched others and did feel very intimidated! Yours is terrific! Thank you! New subscriber!
Glad I found your tutorial!! Love your teaching - it is clear and concise!! Looking forward to watching your other videos. Thanks for sharing your talent!!
I LOVED THIS TUTORIAL! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this! I do like how you used the make-up sponges, to avoid seepage! Great job! Liked the blooper at the end too!
one of your newest members I love it. I am just getting into making signs to sell. I set up at a local firehall twice a year and I needed something different to sell at my stand. thank you I am gonna try this.
You make it painfully obvious why not everyone should have a you tube channel. Compared your work, many others look like they are doing kindergarten crafts. YOU are an artisan!
I've been going thru all your past video library and this one is GREAT!! You made it so clear and simple that I might even try a Jingle sign with this! Nicely done.
Thank you for sharing! I wrote down your steps and copied ISH! LOL I accidentally taped the in between stripes on the final step and ended up w a checkerboard piece! But, I love it and won't make that same mistake again!
I watched your video and was super excited to try so I did. I have some questions though. A lot of my paint pulled up. What paint should I be using I just used acrylic craft paint, and how many hours are you waiting in between layers. I thought I waited plenty of time in between each step and still had paint pull up. I just went with it and made it look distressed, but then when I laid my vinyl down. The vinyl did not stick and pulled up even more paint and that was after it had been hours since I finished painting. I loved how clear and easy your video was, but I obviously need some tips.

That’s is brilliant thank you so much for sharing
Before you do the black could you use a glaze first to avoid bleeding....it works for making crisp stripes....just wondering?
I never have before. I use light amounts of paint and do a few passes
@@ElysiaEnglish Hi Elysia, can you tell me how you paint the fall plaid. I did it but didn't turn out very well. My black was too black.
Fantastic! You are so down to earth, and so very knowledgeable. I am hooked on your videos.
Thanks Patty!
