    Your signs are absolutely gorgeous! I would love to see a Carolina Tarheel blue buffalo check sign! I just made 4 buffalo check signs...3 red & black & 1 white & black. For some reason some of the paint came off of the black & white one, it was completely dry the! Ugh! The red & black ones turned out awesome! I never thought of using a make up sponge...I use a foam brush. And how do you get your tape straight? My black & white one...the squares are off! 😥 I appreciate your advice. ❤ Thank you so much for sharing your creativity, talent and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊🌲

    I love this! I tried the buffalo plaid at Christmas and was wondering how to avoid the lines of paint that are raised from adding the layers of paint? Did I do something wrong?

    • @ElysiaEnglish
      @ElysiaEnglish  5 років тому

      I apply a thin coats to avoid this :) You really need only a small amount of paint. Also using the little makeup sponge helps compared to a brush

    I have been trying to make the plaid and twice now it's coming out just so so. My issue seems to be getting paint 2 and 3 mix right, how much of paint 1 to paint 4 do you mix (starting point) to get 2-3? i.e x number of spoon fulls or parts of each color.

    Thank you so much for the fabulous way you explained the buffalo check. I did my first piece tonight and it turned out fantastic. My son loved it. I have 3 grandbabies ..4 , 4 1/2 and 5. They now have a "hello" coat rack to hang up their own coats and gloves to dry. It's right over the vent so the heat will dry them. Thank you again. Have a good evening and as always love to see what you'll be working on next.

I’m commenting on this video in particular because I make porch signs as a side gig and I’m wondering if you would be able to tell me what finish is best for white paint. Seems like all the other finishes have a yellowing effect.
