Eric M. There's nothing wrong with being average, everyone is average in some way or another and everyone is extroardianry in some way or another and everyone sucks at somethig. HOWEVER your wife/husband is, or should always be perfect, gorgeous, beautiful, and without equal. And that's why you marry them. So other people trying to get into your head will want you to think they're "average" to make you feel either like you settled or you could've done better. And it worked, because it got to him because in telling his wife afterwards he admitted that he was hurt that they were calling the love of his life average. People are mean.
