This is my FAVORITE mini-series of ALL TIME. I have never binge-watched any mini-series as many times in a short period of time. I think I've watched the whole thing about 6 times in the last week and a half.
I think Peggy is Isaac’s mom. Remember she left Serenity for a year then came back. And when Helen and Ryan broke up and she was asking Helen for a quote she was like I know how Serenity gives but it takes. I think it’s her.
I said the same thing and somebody said they believe Ryan is the father, and especially seeing that he's so against having a kid of his own would be a twist. But I'm hoping he's not because that would definitely ruin the image of him and Helen.
The paper woman, touched the mistresses belly and said something like "It must be hard, not having family here", and it took me binge watching about 5X to piece that together. I believe that she is Isaac's mom. Remember, she left town for a year, when her parents "separated". Hmmm, and with her curiosity about Helen's man and the farm, I think she slept wtih him, and got pregnant and went out of town to have that baby and give it up for adoption. That inner hurt unhealed, would explain why the mayor's wife and her are best friends, because they both have a lot of snark and bitterness, born out of pain.
I said that Helen line with her as well, "because this is the last time". But, I never got the connection between the two of them, and I thought that the sous chef was the better man, and the better choice for her, but now, that that relationship is done, there is pain but final closure, and I am rooting for Erik. His warmth, and strength, and being stayed put, to have a relationship, plus she was looking at him, and he certainly was looking at her, well....they seem destined to be together. Plus, he would probably be thrilled to have kids with her. I hope that his wife didn't die in childbirth, or that could get complicated as well, but I think that Erik would have the strength and the will to heal that inner grief and pain and move through it, to get to being willing to have a child.Erik is a real man. He's not running away all the time, galavanting around the world, rootless, and leaving relationships all the time. Erik is willing to feel his own pain. This show has some spiritually immature, self-obsessed men, and two really feeling and considerate ones, Cal and Erik, and they inspire me greatly. If only I had one in my life like Cal or Erik.
The wya they are basically slut shaming CICI when they have seen her relationship with her father is beyond disappointed as females... she clearly is that girl is all show and might be th e saddest own of all... good job guys

I can definitely get behind that. I makes sense. Now is just who the father could be. It would be too obvious and anticlimatic if it’s Dana sue.
