That was a wonderful explanation of what is an illness. One of my best friends has been sober for decades. For a number of years he’s been going to AA meetings as a mentor to younger folks as an elder. He’s been a great example that you can do it for the long run. Congratulations to you - 12 years is wonderful. I also loved your wedding reception story - sounds like something from a Marx Brothers movie. Your Flosstubes are inspiring and great fun. Thank you.

12 years……that is absolutely fantastic Sherrie, one day at a time, In nature design is gorgeous, I’m all about getting out and enjoying nature, I love to take my great grandkids to the parks and forests to explore, I have faith that the things I teach them will stay with them into adulthood.

Congratulations on 12 years sober that is fantastic, I am 64 days sober. I started cross stitching the day I quit drinking as something to keep me occupied and it seems to be working so far. I am still on my first cross stitch and I am still enjoying it. Thank you for another great flosstube. Momma, Faith.

Sherrie I loved your share of your last 12 years-it really needs to be talked about. Although I am not an alcoholic I was/ am affected by my father’s dependency and my husband’s dependency. Nature is also my comfort space. Congratulations on 12 years of living with courage!
