Yes indeed…I love grabbing motifs and small bits from large designs to make ornaments. I made over 60 in 2023 and gave them away at the retreat I attended so I get to start my ornaments all over again! So much fun to complete smalls as I chip away at my large wips.
You would be a blast to stitch with. Thank you for being real. I have never gone shopping with a needle, congrats for knowing which project it belonged too. I’m really good with needles I’ve only lost one and that just so to happen around the mother-in-laws house one Xmas. Unfortunately I live too far south to meet you in person but I’m loving your floss tubes so please don’t stop. Enjoy the retreat.
I could never figure out floss drops either. Until it occurred to me that I didn't have to put the entire skein on the floss drop. If one pattern calls for 3771, I cut a couple of 18 inch lengths and put it on my drop. The rest of the skein goes back in the set. If I need more later I go back to the master set. That way each project bag has what I need. I waste a bit of thread here and there, but not as much as you might think. I cut my own floss drops out of cardstock. I write the number and the symbol right on them. Nothing fancy. Your projects and stitching always inspire me!
It's really nice to see you going mad with power and stitching whatever you want wherever you want in whatever colors you want! You go, girl! And I love learning new words! We have some good ones here in the Pacific Northwest too! I loved seeing your kitty, don't mind her walking into the scene at all! Looking forward to hearing about the retreats!
As always,it has been delightful spending time with you today. I have been catching up on my flosstube viewing this week and I have heard your channel recommended at least twice! (One of them was Carol, Saltbox Stitcher!). People are catching on how refreshing and fun you are; you will be hitting 3,000 subscribers very soon--as you well deserve! Have fun at your retreat.😊
Hi Sherrie really enjoyed your floss tube and seeing your Halloween projects. I laughed re the needle and thread hair accessory. The world is in a sorry state at the moment isn't it with wars, floods, earthquakes, recession and I agree re the stitching and any crafting bringing people together. I need to get cracking with my Christmas gifts I cannot believe how fast the time is flying. I am sure someone hit fast forward. Enjoy your extra hour of stitching tomorrow. Until next time take care and happy stitching xxx
Thank you for the giggles today. Your stitching is all lovely. You and I would’ve been in big trouble together in school. 😂 And in life, let’s face it. 😂😂😂 Good thing there’s an ocean between us. 😂😂😂
You are a crazy woman Sherrie! 😊 So enjoyed the bit about going around Aldi with a hanging needle and thread 😂😂 Also, just FYI, my tech challenge is my husband...I feel your pain. Take care and keep those flosstubes coming! ❤
Hi! Loved your stories and your Halloween projects! Your Enchanted Halloween came out great! Your cat is so beautiful. Loved your Owl Forest piece...don't stop! I love The Christmas Garden pattern...glad you started that one. I like stitching on 20 count too. Would love to see some of the embroidery you have done in the past. I'm A beginner. Have a great time at your retreat. Stay safe and happy stitching!
Another enjoyable video! Your story about finding a threaded needle in your hair had me rolling! 😂 And it was nice to meet one of your sweet kitties! ❤
Another great floss tube. Be good to see you at the retreat, in the local news the flooding is a little away from the hotel so should be okay. It’s so terrible for them all. Have a safe journey 😊
Great video, the minute you pulled out October ruins i thought that looks like whitby abbey and it was ha ha. One of our nearby day trip places to visit. Keep up the great content.
You’re really organised with the floss spreadsheet 😊I’ve ordered my Christmas gift from the other half so I know that Santa knows I’ve been a good girl. Love the variegated threads in the owl forest pattern. Have a good week pet ( that’s a new Geordi word ) 😂
Love your channel you always make me laugh, with the daft stuff you do, im glad im not the only one whos a bit barmy. Your projects are so lovely the tiny town is pretty.
Wow! I won one of your givaways! Thank you so much, so excited! Love all your Halloween projects and the Enchanted finish looks great. Enjoy your retreat! I am hopefully going uo in a Helicopter on the 11th..it already got cancelled once in July , but now it will be on the 20th annniversary of the day my lovely Mum died so it will be a bit emotional for Me, but I took her up on a hot air balloon ride for her 70th so it seems quite fitting really 💜 thank you again 🌞
I enjoyed seeing all your projects....thank you for taking the time to share....you could consider leaving off the words on 'Hello Fall".... it would look good without words! Remind us which band your daughter is on the road with.
Sherri, I adore your personality and always enjoy stitching "with" you! You actually enabled me to purchase the Patchwork Calendar and threads from Owl Forest. Can you tell me how many squares you leave between each month since you are stitching it on one piece of fabric please??? ❤❤❤❤❤❤. Thank you for the inspiration. Have a great week!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Broth is just a specific type of soup here, made with stock from cooking the gammon, then add lentils and all types of veg. So it’s literally a meal in a bowl and so tasty. 😍
Sherrie you made me laugh about finding a hanging needle as I'd just opened up my Tablet cover and found a needle lying in the fold!😅 I'm useless with tech matters. I tried getting on Instagram a year or so ago but gave up. I don't have a 'phone with Internet access on purpose now as I hated its intrusion but wouldn't be without my Tablet. I should have been at the K&S Ally Pally in London but was too ill after covid☹️ and Harrogate isn't possible this year. 'Our Bairn' came to visit today. That's how we'd say and spell it where I came from in the Vale of York or say 'Our lass' or 'Our lad'. I don't hear it locally in Lincolnshire.
I'm sorry to ask, but would you be able to record with your volume higher? I've adjusted all on my device and I enjoy your podcasts soo much I don't want to miss your conversations. Have a wonderful weekend.
Love watching you 😊 love your accent 😊 it’s soooooo lovely that you are so happy and down to earth. Your stitching is beautiful, can I ask please do you prefer stitching on Aida or linen or evenweave?? I’m fairly new and not tried many difficult fabrics- doing a full coverage at the moment, which very, very nearly finished 🥰 enjoy your retreat, hopefully you will be going to that one again next November because I am 😉😂🥰

Wow that’s a lot of smalls ☺️
Wonderful finishes, Sherrie. Thank you for keeping me company on a Sunday afternoon. Enjoy your retreats and safe travels.
Thank you Sarah ☺️

Oh love visiting with you, always have a laugh and then get enabled to buy another pattern….. lol BOO cat is on the list now. 😅❤ Deb South Australia
Thanks so much Deb 😍
Do tell how you make your broth? I believe we call that soup in the US. Love your finished Halloween quaker. 🎃💀🧡🖤 Great idea for finishing.

Oh yay! I had entirely forgotten I entered, because I don’t ever enter giveaways unless there’s something I really want.
I have messaged on IG.
Well in that case I’m over the moon you won Ros 😍
Great video. Have a wonderful time at the retreat. Look forward to seeing all your gifts. Stay safe🤗
Thank you ☺️

Our lass/lad means your partner up here. Isn’t language strange 🤣🤣
I’ve gone to the market with a needle I stashed on my chest with thread attached. No one said anything 😂
You are such a delight to spend the afternoon with. I hope we will meet up at the Jingle Bell. Jenny
Thanks Jenny, That would be great ☺️
Loved the video. Who is the designer of the winter chart you showed at the end xx
It’s serenita de campagna on Etsy. So delicate and beautiful 😍
I'm sorry to ask, but would you be able to record with your volume higher? I've adjusted all on my device and I enjoy your podcasts soo much I don't want to miss your conversations. Have a wonderful weekend.
