Again you get me with the words from Val as well as your closing words. Sherrie, I love how funny you are. I also love the real feeling of community I get from watching you. Thanks.
Enjoyed all your shares. You truly have such amazing cross stitch patterns and wips. I’m so very sorry for your friends loss. I can’t begin to imagine what she is going through. Prayers for her and her family. 🙏🏻🦋
I am the same…I don’t like 32 count with two threads so I use 1 and it just looks fine. Your wheelie bin story reminded me of when I was teaching years ago between two sites. At the end of the year we had to move the classroom contents including an old fashioned blackboard on wheels (yes, it was not this millenium!). I was in my first year of teaching when we did everything for ourselves. Now perhaps I should have chosen a different class… inner city lads aged 14. The two sites had a steep slope between them. I looked out of the window as I was leaving carrying some bags with a sensible group to see the boys pushing/wheeling the blackboard. I saw them stop at the top of the slope…and I knew. They pushed it and we watched the blackboard set off, pick up speed and hurtle down…towards a Deputy Head who had just emerged to “supervise”. Panic set in and the boys sprinted off after the blackboard. They seemed to arrive together in a huge mound of legs and laughter! Another great Flosstube Sherrie!
So happy you like I love fall most of all by Brenda Gervais. I need to get mine out. I started it last year. I love all your stitching and color choices. I'm so sorry for Val's loss. My sincere condolences to her and family. Hope your back gets to feeling better. I've had 5 back surgeries between 2014-2019. Plus, a neck surgery last Nov. See you next week. Happy stitching.
Great floss tube Sherrie, sorry to hear ypur back is playing up, hope it settles soon. Keen to see Away we Ride finished as I have this in my stash. Sending lots of love to you and Val xxx
Another fabulous flosstube. Sorry to hear you’ve been hurting my lovely. I hope you’re feeling better this week. You had me howling at the wheelbarrow bin😂😂 another feast for the eyes. Got to keep my purse under lock and key for stitching show! 😂💗🧵
Hot on my tail with 38 new starts! You know me too - I only stitch with one strand of thread now. It is rare I stitch on 32 count but when I do its 1 over 2. Happy stitching you lovely lady xx
Pin packet pocket...say that 5 times. Love your story about the bin. I will forever think of that taking out my trashbin. 😂 Thanks for another video of your lovely stitching.
I will say a prayer on Tuesday for Alan and Val 🙏🕯 A great weekly update as always. That wheelie bin moment 😮 and your lovely "gardener" 😁 I too love the new magazine and will be stitching the freebie for my son when he hopefully moves house soon. And I adore the "Faith" pillow. I was going to get it from Rachel along with "Hope" but will ask Rachel if she's going to get hold of "Love" as well as I can't not have the set! Love all your stitchy updates. September will turn up one day 🤷🏼♀️ And I hope your back improves very soon. Otherwise we'll be seeing you being pushed round in a wheelie bin 😜 Happy stitching xx🪡
❤❤❤❤ Thank you for your kind words. Your Lucas the gardener had me in stitches. I think like you Sherrie, with the whole England not having a north… Wales doesn’t had an East. We’ve got W.Wales, S.Wales, N.wales & mid but not east 😂🙈 Hope you’re feeling better soon x
My deepest sympathy to Val on losing her son and prayers that your back heals very soon. Even in the midst of sadness and health issues you still manage to convey joy of life. Your stitchy friend from across the pond. ❤
Hope your back gets better soon 😊 Great story with the wheelie bin. We use one in our garden too for grass cuttings etc, easier to take them down the back (large overgrown garden)😂😂 Need to purchase Christmas rules, it looks great!
Oh my goodness, Sherrie, what have you done to your back babe??? You poor luv you must be in a bit of pain!! Slow stretches ok, heat pack it and slowly slowly ok!!! Don’t forget to put deep heat on it it and use your pillow to elevate your knees ok. Loved all your stitching, so bloody gorgeous, the colours are to die for and the stitching that you have done is just os very lovely. Bellatrix is in time out at the moment, I have to figure out how to get the pattern on to mark up so I can keep track of what I am doing!!! Am still working on Rackstraw ridge but havent picked that up for a few weeks as I too have a few health issues going and ended up having day surgery last Friday - I am fine, they found nothing bad so that is a blessing in itself. Please take care, take it slowly, dont rush it and dont lift anything heavy please, until next week, take care of yourself stay well and safe 💋 💋
Prayers for your back. I have debilitating arthritis throughout my body so I definitely understand pain. Hope you feel better soon. What a funny story. We seen a young boy tie a dollar general cart to his bicycle and pulling it around picking up cans and scrap. Got to love some one with enough gumption to try hard and do whatever they need. Love all your projects Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day and happy stitching. Lucinda
Oh my goodness thank you so much for the mention so so kind of you. You are so welcome to the cross stitch I hope you enjoy making it. No I didn’t make the buttons but I did make the bags, I’m making more to sell on my Kofi store links are on my UA-cam, Oh I do hope your pain eases soon nothing worse than chronic pain sending much love . Gorgeous projects as always so much talent. Xxx
Hahah my husband said the same to me, I will use the chain saw, not you. It wasn’t even his big one was the one that is like huge loopers with a small chain saw but yea there would go a leg or foot as be too heavy for me. Pouring rain here today, an actual rain warning. Our compost bin! Lol well the floss is beautiful somsure you will use them for other projects. Mine 32 1 or 2 threads depends on colour of the fabric. But yes 1 thread lays better. Ohhh Sherrie enabled me, that Autumn notes I have never seen, so added to my 123 wish list and the other 3 seasons! Lol now want the brenda gervais pumpkins. Her patterns are hard to get in Canada and shipping from the states is $$plus the exchange. Sigh oh isn’t that nature one beautiful! See you next time❤!feel better, I have degenerative disc and osteoarthritis so know pain.
Oh Cindy, sounds awful but I’m so pleased when other people really understand spinal pain. It’s just crap isn’t it, but just gotta keep one foot in front of the other and try to smile through it ☺️
Maybe that's why I've never taken to 32 count stitching - my patterns always called for 2 threads. I'll try 1 thread and see what happens! Thank you for always brightening my weekend! I hope your back mends quickly (though I have to say, Sherrie on drugs is kinda fun!).
You certainly give us something to think about Sherrie with your last words on each video end. What kind words from your Lancashire friend despite her grief. I've still to ff my Strawberry Faire but I didn't find it an easy stitch for all its small size! I do hope that the pain relief gives you more ease soon so that you can look forward to your next stitching weekend/get together. Keeeeep Stitching 😂
I found the same with the yellow faire one (can’t remember the name or find it in my patterns (goddamn menopause)) it looked a nice small, before I started so no idea why I’ve decided to get the strawberry one 🙃🤪🤣
@@justsewsherrie I found watching Coldplay's Roadies of the Spheres fascinating. I leave my daughter to watch big concerts etc - I could never stand for long! - but seeing the scale of management needed for these huge events is awesome and obviously a lot of hard work. Your daughter's lost some of her accent I think? Pleased you haven't. 😄 Appreciated you doing the video when you probably felt rubbish but hope that it helped knowing behind the camera all of us watching enjoyed your update.
Love your catch ups thank you so much for mentioning talking dog before I ordered seaside tiny town and wee santa 24 from her last week :) I really want to take part in away we ride/stitch I can't find it anywhere all sold out :) Hope your back improves ❤ happy stitching x
Watch they're not just fly-tipping ! Need to see a Waste Removal Licence. I stitch everything with 1 thread (normally only stitch on 36 count upwards). Just think, you've halved your thread cost by 50% !!! To think, many stitchers are looking for a vintage/antique look ... I like my stitches not to look over-stuffed and prefer a more 'threadbare' look. Loved the video, thank you.
The Scots would get upset if we called it North England 😂😂😂. No … but NW and NE are so different, you have to split them and not call them the North. Except I was bought up that anything north of Watford Gap was North.
It’s funny, I’ve started a real ‘where south/north’ starts for everyone. And yes I knew about the Watford gap so that must be a biggy for you guys ‘down south’ 🤣
@@justsewsherrie my Dad said he needed his passport when I moved to Rugby because it was north of Watford Gap!! I’ve never been so bothered by the Midlands. I guess north is where I struggle to understand people sometimes!!
As I’m a bit of a numpty, can you explain about the Stacy Nash and the Union Flag you mentioned? I like all the heritage patriotic things but not that most of it is American and I’ve been looking for English/UK things. I have patterns with Stars and Stripes and I intend to change them to the Union Flag but I didn’t quite understand what you were on about with Stacy stuff. 🫣😬 Amo, in the South South, though SW apparently, Dorset where everything above the M4 is oop North! 😂
probably explained it badly, sorry about that. Stacy Nash has just brought out a ‘British series animal crackers’ and there’s one called Harriet which is a rabbit with a separate Union Jack flag for a scissor fob or other small stitch project. Unfortunately Harriet was a Big Stitch exclusive and will be available for general release July 2025. But I was exactly like you wanting a Union Jack to do the patriotic stitches and replace the US flag with our own
@@justsewsherrie As samplers were a big thing here I think there’s a huge hole in the market for us! 😁 And I don’t mean the red bus and Guardsman type thing, the proper old English, British type with our own patriotism.
Yes, I also am unable to find any garden gate. I had heard you can mix DMC 3021 and 3787, but I’m unsure. Do you think it would be ok or should I wait? I’ve only gotten back into stitching for the past year after about a 30 year break, so I don’t feel very confident yet.
I can’t find 3787 but looking at 3021 it would probably be a very close match I would say. Not sure of your budget but Caron waterlillies ‘sable’ is almost identical. I would’ve used it myself if I’d found it before garden gate was on its way to me ☺️
