That’s great I’m glad this video came at the right time...airbrushing cakes is super fun to do I have demonstrated for iwata at a few cake shows and even though car shows are fun the samples you get at a cake show are so much tastier than a sticker lol 😂

I love your vids! Lots of great instruction, info, and more! I have a few airbrushes and I'm retired and on a really tight budget, so when I spend on my hobbies I have to be very selective. I love my Iwata HP but would like to have a more detail brush. Which would you say is the 'best', the Iwata Micron or the GSI Creos? I know the tool is only as good as the artist (which I will say you are a master) but if I spend 2 - 6 hundred on an airbrush, I want to make sure I get the best I can for me and not have to come back and buy another in 6 months or so. Thanks in advance for your opinion. I know it's hard to point to just one, but which would you buy if you could only buy one? Thanks again. Bill

So realistic that when you placed the template I wondered how you were going to get it to lie flat over the rivets!!!
Just started air brushing mate, so my opinion isn't really worth much, however, what an extraordinary video ! Thats the best I've seen, if I was wearing a hat Sir, I would take it off to you!!

@@AirbrushAsylum No problem! If I may ask a question, when thinning out acrylic paint for air brush use, when do you use Thinner as opposed to flow medium or improver? Is there a difference?

I was going to say "Not Too Shabby"... but it's one time when shabby is longed for! Your shabby is absolutely stunning. I'm thinking about doing rusty steel plates but in place of the Rivets I would love bolt head's or the shaft of the bolt with rusty washers & nut's including the highlights and shadows. Would it be too difficult for someone just getting into Airbrushing? I've already come up against an obstacle, finding templates for the bolts and bolt heads from above and from the side on view plus the fitting washer's etc! Nothing is never simple but I wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you for your videos I've loved every second... BIG THUMBS UP 👍😷👍

Nice peace hear also i feel the hole looks more like a orange cloud braking apart to black in the middle but could just be my phone making it look that way but still a beaut sample keep the vids coming

How would you go about getting flat areas on the studs where they've been hammered or damaged?
My brain: you don't even have an airbrush.

When you do the spidering rust would you direct the air in a gravity direction or just let it free flow . If this wasn’t on a canvass you’d swear this is Amelia Earhart plane panel

What color are u using for the rust color?
i think it's better with a type of yellow/orange for lightning rust, for a hole of rust it's usually better (sometime exception )
But guy... my god, my skill airbrush upgrade before i begin practice, thanks so much adn sry for my horrible english haha
And i think for umber hole a more skinny line, because the coating is not far, the hole have juste 2/3mm the light can't diffuse

Hey man, I was hoping you could hook me up with a quick bit of info. I'm gonna try and paint a welding mask for a coworker of mine, using createx paints, what would be the best finish for it? Love the videos man
when you finish all of the artwork seal the mask with a two pack clear you may also need to add some 'flex aid' into the clear if the mask has the potential to flex, hope that helps.

thank you and yes, you can do everything pretty much freehand, but I always find templates help to make it easier for people who are just starting to learn how to airbrush.
