I did the same thanks for you tube it's a great channel when you have questions on something you've never done or like me I improved my guitar playing without paying a teacher $50 or more a week but some of the political crap I live without and I can just skip it a lot lol so have a good day 😊 from California
Sir, I have been researching airbrush systems, etc. and looking for tutorials on actually using and practicing with them. You started from step one for beginners and showed the technique and maintenance. One of the best tutorials I’ve ever seen. You made my fear go away and I will be purchasing a system a lot sooner now. Thank you.
@Wings_of_foam Just because you have seen them doesn't mean others have. I have been searching for a couple of years for something like this and UA-cam has only shown this today. What was the point of your smug comment?
I just got one for Christmas and I have never even watched anybody paint with a airbrush. Thank you for the information I will be watching what else you have to teach me. Again thank you and great job.
Me: Show me how to use my air brush, only explain it to me like I'm two. You: Say no more! This is great. I was given and airbrush and compressor. I cam here looking for a beginner tutorial and most of them seem to assume that we should know how to set the thing up. You did a fantastic job of just showing the basics! Thank you!
I've been airbrushing for many years, and I endorse everything you say. Although meant for beginners, your article has helped me become aware of a few bad habits I've picked up over that time, so many thanks.
Excellent introduction! I particularly like the fact that he speaks slowly and clearly. This means that for us who aren't British born and aren't accustomed to the thicker local accents, we can still follow easily. One tiny extra tip - remember to always start and finish every stroke with air ONLY. That is: air on - paint on - paint off - air off. Otherwise you tend to get unsigthly blobs of paint at the beginning and and end of the stroke.
His voice is soothing lol I'm watching before bed and I'm relaxed. So full of great tips and airbrushing knowledge! Thanks for helping out us "newbies" lol
Thank you sooooo much for making this video!! I'm an acrylic artist, who wants to incorporate airbrushing into my painting, and your video was the most informative for us, new to this art! I'm sure I'll have a gubillion questions for you, so hopefully you won't get sick of seeing and hopfully answering my questions!! 🤔 Once again, THANK YOU!!!
finally someone who does not "back flush" when cleaning. It's not suppose to be done but a lot of other people do. It gets paint back to where it isn't suppose to go.
Thanks for the video, Mate. I just recently got my first compressor and airbrushes and am eager to get started. My primary focus is going to be painting model cars, but I may try other things as I become comfortable with the process. This may sound rather elementary to most and as simple as pie but it's a little more than that to me because I have been diagnosed with early onset of Parkinsons disease. I'm all in when it comes to succeeding at this and I am going to fight this setback and win. Thank you again mate for breaking this down to the novice level, that really helps.
Dear friend. I'm a beginner in the hobby. Your video is the best I have found so far on the internet. please keep making clear and didactic videos like this. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much of all the vids I have watched you are the only one who has actually explained and demonstrated how to adjust the air pressure all others say what pressures they like to use but don’t explain how to adjust the thing so thank you very much excellent instructions
Dude i am so glad u r left handed this video walked me thru step by step best tutorial 4 beginners i never even HELD an airbrush b4 this video n now im rocking out kick a$$ paint jobs on my models i dont even use rattle cans anymore. Again thank you for this i send everyone who asks about airbrushing to this video. U rock!
I worked with airbrush very little in the pass but didnt know how to practice or properly clean one till i watched your videos just now I just purchased Iwata Eclipse hp-cs . Thanks for the lessons . I will learn .
My mum was given an airbrush years ago but found it too difficult to set up, so it's been untouched for ages. She's allowed me to use it but the instruction manuals are difficult to understand. Thank you for this
This reminds me of cleaning my guns.I’m currently retired with the Government. I maintained, install new road markings. The cleaning procedures are basically the same, only scaled down. Thank you for giving me the best of memories 👍 Now I can get back to my passion, model building 👍💖🤙🏽
I’m looking forward to the entire tutorial. Getting ready to tackle some plastic ship models after building many wood ships that I never felt I needed an airbrush for. It’s a bonus that our instructor is a lefty.... but can relate better!
Thank you for the video. I bought myself exactly the same compressor after watching your video and some other reviews and now I watch it again to actually follow along and try out my airbrush for the first time.
You also taught me how to airbrush. Been years now and I’m still using your tips. I wish you made more tutorials but I understand it’s a lot of effort. Keep up the great work legend! ❤
What a fantastic guide! I have never touched an airbrush before, but upon watching it, immediately made everything about maintaining an airbrush less daunting. Now to find a supplier within Australia for the kit you use, and I'll be set!
Fantastic tutorial. I am a bit over 6 months working with an airbrush (thus, not a total beginner) and still found it immensely useful. Thanks for posting.
my dad got me an airbrush + compressor kit. sadly needs some work on the airbrush. not major thank goodness. compressor works great. took a look at your videos since my new aunt got me a portable airbrush so im watching all these videos again for refreshers
Excellent video thanks for posting. I can’t help but think most left handed people are naturally more talented than right handed people. I’m right handed and destructive when it comes to making things that look as nice as this.
oh my god thank you so much! this is probably the best air brushing beginner guide tutorial I've seen. very easy to follow! please talk more about paint consistency in further videos in this series. I'm still having trouble learning how to thin my paint right.
Do you have to do all that cleaning for each airbrush colour paint change ??!?!?? that's a lot of work. I am a beginner and I bought one of those high frequency vibration water tank cleaners usually used for jewelry, I hope it works.
Thank you for making this video. As a strictly paint brush person, my challenge to myself in lockdown is to learn how to use the airbrush for simple priming, zenithal highlights and more. You video has made me learn the absolute beginner tips and I’ll continue to watch it till I can remember it from memory. Thanks for producing such a clear video!
I just bought a airbrush kit and I was looking for a video to explain how to get started. This is such an excellent beginning point, it's short and sweet but explains the basics of using your airbrush for the first time. thanks man
EXCELLENT! I've been making wooden fishing lures for some time and am about to start painting them. This clear, concise explanation was just what I needed. Thank you.
THANK YOU so soooo much! I actually received that exact airbrush as a gift, and though I'm absolutely thrilled, I'm also absolutely terrified. This video was exactly what I needed. You've saved me so much time and research. All the best to you!
I just got a Perfect Grade Gundam for my birthday last week and I think it deserves a paint job in order to live up to its Full Glory. I've been painting Warhammer minis for years, but this is going to be my first time painting a BIG model
Thank you for declaring proper working pressure of 20 psi. I am new to Airbrushing. My experience is with 3 stage Automotive Paints. Working pressure for those was 28-34 psi. With a gravity feed sprayer. I kept tank pressure @80 psi and regulated air at the paint gun, down to stated pressure. And yes, I could in fact paint a car with a 12 gallon air tank. Sorry about my Imperial units of measures. I live in America.
This is invaluable. I just picked up the supplies to start airbrushing and am going to take the plunge this weekend. I'd bought a cleaning kit and I had no idea with the needle-blade thing is. I'd reckoned it was for clearing out gunked up paint somehow so knowing it;s a reamer and what i's meant to do helps a lot. Thanks!

the correct name for that is "ultrasonic cleaner", yeah that's the best way of cleaning the parts.
