As a massive VH fan this is fantastic and brought a smile to my face. Taylor will be looking down and smiling big time (as he was also a massive VH fan!) Younger drummers please note Gregg played for the song and replicated the part (even though one of the fairly simple drum parts by the legendary Alex Van Halen). These guys are clearly like us...they do it for the love not just the money! Thanks for sharing Gregg! RIP Eddie and Taylor.
Great Cover by incredible Player's who done always play together. Gregg, can't wait till Sat. @ Orpheum with Ringo & Friends. Second time this year fir me. I was at Greek Theater to 🎉...FastFrank-CA 😎
I'm sure you get this all the time bro, but I saw you 30 something years ago behind Steve and Billy with DLR - Eat Em and Smile in Rochester. Man I haven't thought about that show in along time, I don't know how many times I've bragged to friends about seeing you three together straight killing it. Such a great show, that shit was special.... amazing to see you're still killing it.
GB is one of those guys that can sit in with anyone and make it sound like they have been playing together for ever. Top player. And nice guy! Sounded great.
Sweet! I've played there a couple times. What a treat for those folks. You sat in with my buddy's band about a month ago...Holger's Hero's. When I found out I was crazy bummed I missed it.
Do it. Has been one of the best experiences of my life. This video has inspired me to get behind the kit and do some live music again... well, some time , we'll see :D
This was so good!!! Come to Austin and I'll spoil all you guys! Love you all so much 🫶 Dave, you were my first love for drumming, then Taylor...now I think I have a new favorite. Keep it up Love. We are all PROUD of you. ✌️♥️
Damn this is fun! Something that caught my eye is at the 1:48 mark where Dave's motion flows right into when the song kicks in as he assumes "The Stance".
I really do dig classic VH (I just found side stage footage of them at Monsters of Rock) but I would've rather heard 'Tobacco Road'. You helped create a classic that, imho, rivals any Halen song. \m/\m/
Met Greg B in a Walgreens in Vegas on my way to a STYX show when the masks were still a thing nicest guy who was with his daughter and he asks me if I was a drummer and my answer was not standing next to you 😂
Instead of bullshitting around with every band on the planet, Dave should be investing his time doing another Crooked Vultures album with the greatest bass player/multi instrumentalist in rock. Should out to Gregg B. behind the kit, Love that guy
so cool to see this
so much fun you guys playing together
Cheers from Brazil

Brilliant @Gregg Bissonette. My hero
Great sound Robbie!
GB, when you take the throne, all I have to do is turn you up. 🔥😂
Aaahh!! So much fun! I had a huge grin through the entire video. Awesome energy and tight band, all super pros. Great job, Gregg, killing it as usual!

Always giddy to get on stage and whack em'!!! I hope you never change Gregg!
That was so rad!
Man that looks like soo much fun... I need to get out of my basement and play with some people sometime :)

Awesome Gregg. ✌️🤘💛🇦🇺
Looks like a fun gig! Stay tuned
Damn this is fun! Something that caught my eye is at the 1:48 mark where Dave's motion flows right into when the song kicks in as he assumes "The Stance".
Yah!!! You sound great!!!!
Gregg is the only other drummer than Alex VH that can say he has performed this song with OG Van Halen members.
I was happy with myself that I guessed the tune before the lyrics ( I had to dig in the archives for that one 🤘🏼)
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fun!
Slamming Gregg! Looks like it was a great hang.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow! What a cool live cover. It was a pleasure to watch.
🤘🤘
And you heard it from Dave Grohl. There's a legend on stage -- GB!
I would love ♥️to see Shane Hawkins, and Chevy Metal do a cover of 🎶”You,I “🎶..by the Rugbys (1969 ). Has a killer beat.
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I live on the wrong coast!
🤣 I feel the same way. I'm in Texas!
Back to basic small venue gigging because Dave can.
Cashed in cobain and hawkins. Enjoy the ride they earned it ☠️
Rippin'!

Dave Grohl fucking legend!!!!
Dave Grohl aka Chris Barnes or CB?
YO!
I actually enjoy my job, but I know for a fact that I NEVER look as happy at work as you always do.
Put yer phone down dude! The band's right in front of your face!!
Instead of bullshitting around with every band on the planet, Dave should be investing his time doing another Crooked Vultures album with the greatest bass player/multi instrumentalist in rock.

Baby Bassonette!
This is how you “sit in with a band” kids, take notes……
Of course this was a banger. Dave Grohl is always bringing it. Van Halen is always better when anyone else besides David Lee Roth is performing it.
Would James Hetfield sit-in in this way? No way.
Man… You do NOT sound like you played w Maynard (compliment ).
666 likes and I had to go and ruin it and be 667.
