I genuinely think After Hours is a perfect album. It’s an Album that actually tells a story, not TRYING to tell one but actually visualizing and creating one
Too late and repeat interlude were mediocre in terms of song flow and structure
The rest is fine
Dawn fm was better
@@brandond9104 pause right there mister
@@dabench4596 too late is far from mediocre song structure wise. like the other albums on here and people like tyler the creator get absolutely glazed when his song structure is nowhere even close to a song like too late if you actually know anything about song structure. seems like you’re trying to explain your opinion with very little knowledge on the topic you’re talking about. song structure isn’t something subjective it is something you can actually break down and prove. if i need to break down too lates don’t structure i can. also repeat after me is as good as interludes get and im sure the interludes on albums you claim are perfect aren’t as good
After Hours: Being talked about as a perfect album.
Ant: Like the sax solo at the end of save you tears.
After hours is an album that I genuinely think is perfect. It knows what it was doing and how to execute it properly. It succeeded.
After Hours is definitely one of the best albums of the decade
i agree. zero skips, incredible production and writing
Mostly agree . Great writing and production was spot on . My complain is that the first half of the album was kinda slow and the ending was kinda unsatisfying . But overall amazing album with a lot of bangers
@@themadman1738 I night be biased, but Until I Bleed Out is the perfect closer.
@@Lispable frrrr mannn spot on opinion
🤡🤡🤡🤡
Absolutely no skips on after hours, what an amazing album , everything is so amazing. Escape from LA,until i bleed out , alone again, after hours are the best songs.
love the Malibu praise! Lu is completely justified in his rake and this album is one of my favourites of all time. Too slept on
After hours is perfect the songwriting, the cinematic production and the weeknd’s performance all phenomenal 👍🏿
Repeat After Me and Untik I Bleed Out really hurt the album's "perfect rating" imo. But yeah, everything from production to vocals is top tier on After Hours. Doesn't get much better imo.
The perfect songwriting album of The Weeknd is Kissland but at songwriting Afters hours still great.
Kiss Land
@@tropical9913 Until I bleed out is good but I can agree with Repeat after me but I’m pretty sure that’s an interlude
After hours isn't even the weeknds best project. Its not a perfect album
Foldin clothes is incredible, great production by Steve lacy, and it fits well, it’s about j cole settling down, and not having to die a legend, he’s content with his life finding happiness in doing the little things for his lover. And the almond milk line was funny
💯
So much hated
Totally, don't know what these guys smoking
@@adreass5114 the one you ain't
Square Dance, Hailie's Song, and My Dad's Gone Crazy are all phenomenal, the actual imperfection of the Eminem Show is Drips. Drips did not need to be released
Interesting take, I love Drips.
And I also think the Eminem Show is indeed a perfect album.
The concept, the rapping, the production is all immaculate.
But I can understand why people eventually dont like certain songs on it.
If anything they should took drips out and put stimulate instead
But I do like drips I just think it's doesn't fit into the album
But u I do hink it's a perfect album
I think Drips didn't really help Obie Trice either that was probably the first time a lot of people heard about him and he's made way better music than that. Cheers was a great album, I wouldn't say it's classic like The Eminem Show or Get Rich or Die Tryin' but it's solid. Obie wasn't as popular as you would expect him to be since Eminem was promoting him all the time and Dr Dre helping a lot with production, he was never going to sell as much as 50 Cent but I just think he was kinda underrated on his 1st 2 albums.
“Till I Collapse” not being the outro for The Eminem Show will forever be so baffling to me.
But other than that it’s an excellent album, probably top 2 in his discography for me.
@MyDarkTwistedSilentPlanet the songs weren’t ruined by the production but I can understand someone not taking a liking to the production on the songs
What’s wrong with My Dads Gone Crazy
@Operation: Heavener those are the best produced songs on the album.
@@theboi5584 i loved the production on sing for the moment and till i cloaps. till i colaps has literally one of the productions of any song ever
@@thegoldensorcerer9866 nothing, not a bad song, just not as good of an outro as till I collapse would have been, though I will give it that it is a charming outro.
after hours and cilvia demo are perfect. all weeknd albums are special so i won’t speak too much on that but cilvia demo is so special bro
Definitely agree on that Anderson paak take. give that man all the flowers
After Hours, 808s & Heartbreak, Swimming, 4Eva is a Mighty Long Time, House of Balloons, The Sun's Tirade, The Water(s)...just some of the albums that come to mind that I personally consider perfect, meaning that I can play them from start to finish without wanting to skip a song.
Woah, that’s interesting. My idea of perfect is essentially a 10/10 album, which only a few albums. If I used your metric, I would have thousands of perfect albums because I enjoy so much different music, but among the no-skip albums are a few ones that are obviously better. TPAB is better than All Things Must Pass for example, if they are both perfect how can one be better than the other?
The Sun's Tirade is so good
The waters slaps 🎉
basic 🤖
Mh... I love 808s but SYIMN still exists
After hours is special to me.. it really helped me when i was at my lowest and also help me through the pandemic.
The weekend After-hours is a perfect album 💿 💯
FACTS! Everything on it is covered and perfected. The production is top tier and the writing is incredible!! And very unique and The Weeknd covers the 80s Pop sound perfectly to a T 10/10 album
Dawn FM is me is better than After Hours. It’s more cohesive as a concept (the radio show), complete with interludes narrated by Jim Carrey. The 80s theme is also a lot more prevalent and there’s a more clear story. However, I think individual tracks on After Hours are better than certain Dawn FM tracks.
i think after hours is a greater album but dawn fm is a better pop album and one of the most dynamic pop albums ever made
To me tho After hours is more consistent and cinematic than Damn fm…. Love Dawn Fm but After hours is still better
@@anthonyekene3281 after hours is better but dawn fm is just as consistent every song is great. the thing is it takes more listens to differentiate the tracks because at first it may sound repetitive to the average listener who doesn’t know alot about music to be able to see everything being done musically and can only kindve grasp the kindve song they’re hearing
Massive props for the Manger on Mcnichols recognition. Would love if in the future you guys would continute giving underground / less mainstream artists attention.
After Hours is perfect and Repeat After Me def plays an important part in the story.
Its still a shit song
If you want the descriptive writing how the party lifestyle, living in LA is, how his breakups happened etc, then you have to listen to Dawn FM. It's even slightly better for me than After Hours.
After hours is a 10/10 , perfect album!!
Songs like repeat after me,too late ruin the perfect rating for me.
@@ze2132 not really, got lots of weak spots

I can not say any album comes close to a classic 10 out of 10 in recent couple decade except After Hours.❤
Nah Ants From Up There is incredible
Recent couple decades?? Lmfao there are so many better ones. After Hours isn’t even the best album of 2020
I just found this channel. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. Love the work!
Thank you for the kind words. Welcome 🙏
After Hour is the album of the 2020s, it is the sound people will associate with this decade.
Whoa whoa there may be a little too much dip on your chip there. Of the decade? Nah. Lets wait another five years.
Luca's Malibu take is a 10/10, flawless opinion
minus the frank comment 💀
@siah yea I don't know what the fuck Blonde had to do with anything there lol
Albums I find perfect: For Emma, Forever Ago, Operation Doomsday, The Infamous, Wish you were here, Vaudeville Villain, Vespertine, Purple Rain, Time 'n' Place, Norman F'ing Rockwell, MMESYF, OK Computer, Titanic Rising, Discovery, Hounds of Love, Punisher, Ants from up There, Folklore, What's Going On, TPAB , Grace, Madvillainy, Illmatic, In Rainbows, Donuts, Magdalene, Taboo
What are ur Thoughts on MM... Food . Do u think its a perfect album ?
@@themadman1738 I think it’s near perfect but i’m not as big on some of the songs and I don’t really fw the skits too much. It’s a 9/10 tho imo
No mbdtf??
Fantastic list but I'd argue Intro Bonito and Bonito Generation are better than Time n Place
@@reptilesceptile1035 Good album but nah. Around a 7 or 8/10

me too man i havent heard half of these albums but to see their back in forth is really fun
@@MarioJeremiahSolis956 exactly!
*In regards to the singing on "Hailie's Song" I actually like the way he sings even though It's not exactly Michael Jackson or anything like that. But I hear people has a problem with his singing there, I actually think It's kind of beautiful. Just like when Kanye West sings on songs like "Only One" It's not like Kanye sounds like Michael Jackson either but there's still something about It, a great vocalist couldn't recreate and It's just from the soul and I truly feel strongly that Marshall crushed Hailie's Song, In his own way.*
Yeah no way hailies song makes it not perfect, and dads gone crazy lu is trippin
I genuinely do not understand how they find the singing on Hailie's Song not good; Em literally sings in range and when he does transition to head voice, it's not flat whatsoever. If anything, Hailie's Song is one of the more soulful personal moments on the album. I swear they're just searching for shit to nit pick.
The Eminem Show is one of, if not, the best, rap album of all time. I couldn't disagree more with the critiques of Hailie's Song - it's one of Em's more personal, soulful tracks and his singing is in range and full. Any criticism for the album is nit picking at its finest, and it's virtually impossible to fault in terms of lyricism, storytelling, passion, production or any other metric that goes into a classic album.
I agree, for me "The Eminem Show" is indeed a classic and a perfect album. I'll never understand people who trying to downplay it.
Its easily one of the best hiphop albums of all time and top 3 out of all Eminem albums.
Foldin clothes fits perfectly in the album
That song sucks
Not rap but I think Discovery by Daft Punk is perfect. Amazing mix of almost every kind of music, yet they make it feel like it “comes from the future.” So good!
Discovery is a definite 10/10 🎉
Dude, Discovery is the definition of perfect. Easilly in my top 10 albums of all time.
Bro. Discovery is the embodiment of perfection
4YEO and The Eminem Show are the 2 of my favorite hip-hop albums of all time. Really loved this video!
4YEO is just so personal 😭
4yeo was coles last great album
@@thatguy1488 Bro what happened to Off-Season
I think I would have liked if you mentioned more of hiphops favourite albums: I consider TPAB, Illmatic, MBDTF, Black on Both Sides etc. to be classics
There’s no reason to include TPAB, MBDTF and Illmatic as 99.9% of hiphop fans will call them classics and perfect albums. There’s no debate.
@@khron7 Thats true, but I'd also consider "The Eminem Show" a classic and a perfect album. I'll never understand people who trying to downplay it.
Hey guys, Big fan from australia. I love your reviews from these artists. I wanted to let you guys know, you should do another free smoke for Denzel Currys Taboo and ASTROWORLD ( both are my favorites) thanks.
Hot take: Most People only hate on folding clothes because fantano does. Its a really good song!
Hearing pinata at 12-13 years old really did open up a whole new world to me in terms of production and style. The influence that album had over an entire generation of listeners cannot be overstated.
ayyyyyy i see that heroes and villains vinyl in the background 🔥🔥🔥
I love Hardly on Monster. It is great
Can y'all give your reviews on Legends Never Die & Fighting Demons.
If you do another one of these I’m curious how you rank It Was Written by Nas as it is widely regarded as his 2nd best album but some feel it is his best. It is undoubtedly a classic but is it perfect in your opinion?
Hey guys where do u find these old albums apart from spotify please tell me
Guys for me 4 Your eyes only is perfect album because this vibe and meaning and idea of album focused on lyrics and real life situation , in my opinion 4 your eyes only is perfect album
After Hours is The Weeknd's greatest album, coming from a Trilogy glazer
If we counting mixtapes then house of balloons >
@@zacharyhoffman5948 after hours is greater echoes and kissland also edge out house of balloons
@@thatguy1488 echoes and kiss land definitely aren’t better than house of balloons
@@HoB_Noir echoes of silence is just as good as house of balloons and kissland is better cohesively lyrically vocally and production is just as good. music is subjective so it’s my opinion and house of balloons echoes and kissland are all 10s so it’s not like me saying they’re better means much. it’s personal preference and kissland is the best album of all time to me. no pop artist has ever came close to making an album experimental wise and lyrically wise kiss land is the absolute top of top teir
I agree the Eminem show isn’t perfect but the take about Hailies Song and My dad’s gone crazy is just bad. They fit perfectly to me.
Foldin clothes hook kinda cool

Anderson .Paak deserves all the praise. So talented and unique, and what a life story as well.

madvillainy, tpab, and illmatic are all perfect 💯
How can Madvillainy be a perfect album if it’s an acquired taste?
Yeah, but everyone already knows that. The point of this video is albums that aren’t as loved and obviously amazing.
Madvillainy overrated
w take
@@eb2604 because if you have that taste, then it's perfect. Music is subjective so nothing can be perfect, but if you like rap, then it's perfect. If you think about the story, bars, flows, rhymes, then it's technically perfect. The best 20 song album of all time.

The Eminem Show is literally perfect and Eminem’s best album!!!
Its not his best album, because thats the SSLP or even the MMLP, but nevertheless its a perfect album, so we can for sure agree on that.
*I respect your opinions but... Nah bro, After Hours and The Eminem Show are flawless.*
The songs with Hailey fit the album so well, not only to show this more personal side of Eminem but you can't be a father and don't smile at those songs, Eminem gives his fucking heart for his daughter and on top of that the final verses on both songs are so fucking good. Plus it has some of the best written rap songs and performances with White America, Sing for the Moment, Cleanin' Out My Closet, Soldier and Till I Collapse.
After Hours it's the album that made me actually dive on The Weeknd's catalog and it's perfect because of how it can tell this story clear enough for us to follow BUT still leaving out enough information for us the listeners to imagine this situations in our minds, the reason of why it's so successful is because even if you're not from the US and you know nothing about Las Vegas you can still connect with Abel's emotions in his voice and what he's talking about. The concept of messing up, don't know how to improve and the fear of loneliness is something anyone can relate to and he did an amazing job on that.
THE BAD SINGING MAKES IT MORE RAW AND EMOTIONAL
Saba: Care For Me
I like every moment of that entire album
House of balloons is a perfect album
