Yes, this strategy DOES give you a window to roam, ward etc but what I see my laners regularly fail at is getting back into lane to catch that wave before it crashes into their tower.

Started league playing adc in April2021 and placed/got stuck in Silver1. Found skill capped guides - within 2 months Gold2, 7 months Plat4. Just recently hit Dia4! All from these free YT guides. Even non-adc guides are incredibly useful.

Tbh if u had a normal supp and depending on ur adc it could make a difference. I get shit like samira supp or seraphine jung and in thode kind of games the rules dont work lol

i got to plat 4(by stomping the enemy, i do not know how to macro,or wave management.... but i do know how to take cs,) i got to plat 4 with only my mechanics

This guide is amazing! One heads up though. Yone actually got all the minions from the crash at 15:05 so it's entirely true what you said there. In spite of him getting those resources you increased your lead by 1k gold.

Do it along with a minimester in the winter. It’s better to have two things you’re bouncing between than focusing on one and burning out quickly.

This works pretty much the same for other lanes too, although it's a bit more complicated in bot lane due to 2 people being in lane instead of one. Support mains often aren't great at wave control and mess it up for their ADCs on accident fairly often. If you play support, really study wave control and you'll start winning way more games by knowing what you need to do to help your ADC, when to engage or back off, or roam. When I climbed to high ELO on ADC, that was the biggest difference between good and bad support players. The good ones knew the wave mechanics better and made plays using that knowledge. Bad supports will either just sit in lane afk all game, roam way too much, or hit minions and mess up slow pushes/freezes.
most of the adc got no clue how to control waves and are only dying if the support is warding or ganking a other lane :D
@@Annihilatrix That's true in like silver and below. Most ADC mains even in gold will usually know to play safe while the support roams.

As far as I understand, if you beat the lane opponent in the 1v1 you can pull their reinforcing wave before it gets to yours causing it to push back into you while only sacrificing a few CS.
Thats the quality journeys that I have subscribed for. I remember the ahri players journey to diamond and Im glad there's another one in a different lane
Ok, so this is the first time I'm hearing this 3 minion rule and probably the reason I keep accidentally breaking my freezes too early 😂
3 is absolute minimum, you need more to make sure it does not break. And if your wave dies first, just pull enemy wave away from tower and reset aggro in bush.
Some of these concepts are harder to do on certain champs who arent as strong early, and who cant go in, win a trade, and get out like Renekton
I play zac top mostly, and while I do usually win lane and I have a solid WR, I'm still looking to improve and climb out of silver
Tips for people who dont play bully champs like Renekton? The fundamentals are the same, but I cant always be as strong from small leads
(Ex: I cant beat a morde even if I have a small gold lead)
Edit: Im aware of how easy it is to snowball as zac due to his sustain, but into some champs, it still feels hard to snowball even with a kill lead, like mordekaiser, gwen, etc
I feel like thats when you just ban mordekaiser, so you never have to deal with him. im plat and a lot of my success just comes from banning champs i have a really hard time with on my champs, for example a lot of my champs cannot win against darius top so i ban him every single game, even if there is something more "broken" out on a particular patch its better to know I never have to play my worst match up

If your team have a lvl lead,the even minion wave always push into the enemy side because your minions will be stronger,u can see it if u click on a minion how much stronger your minions in %.

You always explain what to do when you're winning. What do you do when you're getting freeze or behind?
technically freezing almost has no counterplay if you are behind and the enemy know that they can aggressively trade when you want to farm, either roam for other lane or objectives or ping the jungler/other laners for gank so you can shove the wave in.
Dude i am doing this every game.. why i am still in silver... yes my team always leaves game.. hard int.. or refuse to play.. and you cant win 3 vz 5.. even if you have 500 kills
Its around what u win from a well timed tower dive thats what the opponent loses anyway. And the funniest part of this, that works on mid similarly.

applying the 3 minion rule doesnt necessarily lead to a freeze
i play bot and down here in yee yee bronze the sup always messes with have with autos and ability's not sure how to get that wave management skill with that happening every game

2:54 it's supposed to be the 4 minion rule, but the truth is that the more minions the better, as long as you can pull them and thus stop them from getting in tower range.
3:37 this is not true; if all minions on both sides die before the next wave arrives the waves are completely reset and meet in the middle as if it was the first wave of the game (even explained in the video a minute later :D)

i m a master garen otp and more than half my kills early/mid are slow push into tower dive
even trade kill is fine sinc they lose a lot of minion + xp and the wave is slow pushing back making you very safe waiting for your cds

Dunno if it's the same as previous video, but ofc challenger jungler can get diamond on top... Unlike me, bronze since 2011, who can barelly reach silver :D
The guide is good but I don't think it will work on champions that have a weak early game, are not in the meta or are giga hard core countered. I mean with renekton you can always win early game, even if you do mistakes but there are some champions who even lose with a wave vs other champs. Let's say you play vs daruis or sett and you play something weak early, you will get freezed until the game is over. I would like to see a video you play vs a champion that is giga hard to lane against and you have to somehow win vs him early game because your scaling won't reach late game.

One question. Can i use this strategy being at the bot or mid or only top?
it's just wave management in general, but how you apply them to the other lane might be different, I don't see mid getting dive that often and they all just want to slow push for bot lane for some reason, and bot lane would just perma freeze to counter this.
What are the prices like? I’m thinking about doing it but moneys a bit tight. And I don’t know if it will work for me seeing as I only have time for 2 games a day

Agreed it would be better to take all the plates and let the tower stay alive to further deny but that depends on the state of the game and if your lane influence needs to be spread or not depending winning/losing mid/bot

Normally I'd agree to snowball your lead even more, but renekton is not really a great scaling champ. I believe it's better to start influencing the map in the mid game (specifically with this champ), take dragons, take other turrets and try to quickly close the game.
Though it also depends if the other lanes are winning. If you feel like it's possible to wrap up before 25 mins, take the turret and start going all around the map, if not it might be better to try to bully enemy toplaner some more.
If you're strong enough to basically 1v2 enemy top/jg, taking early tower isn't nearly as bad as the "slightly ahead but jg came to rift the lane" games.
Reason: If you are strong enough to 1v2 enemy top/jg, you can shove wave, then walk into enemy jg to take camps, so your income isn't screwed.
Because it's not competitive and you would rather go snowball on rest of the map.
When well have the mid lane version??? Pleaseee

This series of videos is insanely well worked, but i have a question, I play Tryndamere and when i want to trade my E destroyed the waves, and i dont have a real pattern of trade do u have some advanced tips ?
try not to E through the wave. CS on the side of the wave, then when you E you dont go directly through the wave. or just hold your E till youre clear of the wave.

@@yoann_gtxOn tryndamere in particular, your trade patterns should be fairly all-in like against most champions anyway. E on to them, w to stick to deal more damage, and try to get them in range where you can kill them on next all-in with ghost under their tower. Then just push the wave and dive them with ghost+ult.
Alternatively, for when you're permafreezing: Walk up, PAST THEIR MINIONS, and then e onto them if they walk up. If they don't, you're zoning them off XP.
this video is GREAT but i wish you wouldn't make not entirely true statements like "this wave will always push because im last hitting it" and completely not mentioning the winning lane/team minion buffs, these can be VERY influential and everyone should take them into consideration before making any wave decision

@@ThaGlizzard tower dives on bot are basically impossible to play without your jungler which is hard to coordinate on low elo so you definitely can not apply the exact same to bot
I mean this is really helpful but it is all dependant on having a matchup that at least isn't totally unplayable right? Like for example if I pick shen and the enemy counters me with teemo, I can not really get a level 2 advantage without losing 30% HP. And even on the slow pushes i don't really win trades since my champion is so auto based that I can't trade into Teemo Q. How would my plan for this lane look like then?
Survive and go about even, you can not win the lane without a gank unless the teemo fucks up their spacing and allows you to get an all in with ignite. In that case try to wait for openings in which he has few minions eg. when a wave is rebounding into him after a crash and he gets too close to you. You then go for a short trade with your taunt so you can get teemo in kill range for yourself with ignite. Just make sure you don't miss your taunt or will have to abort the trade/all in immediately.
That is a melee vs ranged matchup, they have other guides for that. Early game plan is to not fight for push, keep yourself healthy, let them crash into your tower and prepare for a lvl 3 all in with the rebound. Easier said than done but that's the gist of it.

Guys i was hardstuck gold 1 for years then i taught myself macro and i got to masters in a single season. Keep grinding guys and get your game knowledge to a high quality and you will most definitely climb!
This summer was the wrost to climb. Too much bots had free time. Now good players with time is going be on and que time will be a bit longer. We will be seeing alot of the same people in our matches too.

Uh, bud, it gets you prio. You place a ward in enemy jungle, you take scuttle, you take herald, you go shit on mid lane. It's the same as any other lane, you get a turn after you shove in.
Obviously you don't want to do it with only one wave, but it's the same thing.

13:30 no i can't see Yone E and W on cooldown that in knowledge of someone who had played that champ knows...13:40 We silver and gold players have no clue that his E is on cooldown still...You are using you "challenger" knowledge...You video should say make sure you memorize every ability of every champ and the cooldown....If climbing was so easy you pick Iron players at random (or at least silver players) show them your coarse and pow they are Diamond...NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!
Play every champion at least once. You can do it when they pop up on free rotation if you like. Just jump in a custom game against bots and get a feel for how they work and it helps out immensely
