Just watched another video about the matt varnish and they have complained about the same issue. But then they explained why that happened - because the coating was too thick. Probably the same applies to the satin varnish. If you apply very thin layer of it, you will get better results.
I have been frustrated with the inconsistent results of spray cans for a while so I started air brushing. Game changer. You have much more control and can put down much lighter layers
welp i just bought another can, my first can i used looks good but that said it's the only one i used and tought that's how satin looked like, from far they kinda look more matt to me but up close it do be more gloss, welp guess il just use this fresh can as otherwise rip money and maybe switch any good cheap alternatives? as i don't wanna be paying like 20 euros a can as hat's expensive q.q

Having the same exact problem - but you could fix that with an explicitly matt labelled varnish, right?
Hey we met at captaincon 2023 ;)(talked cameras)
Hey! Very cool to meet you. I never get to talk cameras.
What? You didn't do a test model first...? LOL

I was gonna say, this is more of an operator error. Research before you paint.
You should of done a test model first...
