    When I was growing up we always had what we called "The Man Eater" mower for fence lines and trimming. It had an actual lawnmower blade out front and was self propelled. The first thing we did was remove all of the guards and shields so it didnt bog up. Spent many a summers running them between fence rows and fields. It was a hot and itchy job!👍

      The guards do catch a lot of stuff.

    I agree the walk behind trimming is an awesome piece of equipment that really saves time when trimming tall grass. I’ve got the DR brand and it’s works awesome.👍TCT

    Great buy 👍 We have Husky's version. Great for fence line trimming. What I don't like about it is if you have to change the drive belt, you have to basically tear it all apart to get to it 😡 I hope Echo's is not the same. We found that the square shaped trimmer string works best and lasts the longest. Weed eating will always suck, but this machine will make it faster and a little more fun.

      I think it will have to be taken apart to change the belt. They do that, so you aren't getting grass and debris in by the belt. I feel belt should last a long while.

    Wow! That thing is no joke. It didn't slow down a bit, even in the tall thick stuff.

      My only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner.

    Great little trimmer. I bought arens several years back. It don’t have much clearance on back. Wish bought something different. So can roll over rocks little better. If that’s all it take to buy something like that to not have to do it all yourself it’s definitely worth it

    hi handsome, I just bought a etoro 58620. I love it. I just bought 5 lbs of Culparis round 0.155 string and Oregon 22-570 Round, 5 lbs, Black 0.170 string. I also bought Yello Rihno from Homedepot 0.155 I'm soaking that for 24 hrs. I will give you my honest reviews once I use them. I'm cutting trying to cut through 2.5 thick, Fennel.

      I have heard soaking them helps. I still have to pick up some extra string yet.

      The line that came with it isn't the best but works. I will get some good stuff and add a tube on machine to carry them with.

    Neat tool. Lots of power. I’ve wanted one of those to cut my ditch at home. I think it would work good. But never got one.

    Think this is same model i have been looking at that can swing a few inches to either side to replace another brand high wheel trimmer that did not offset, which was the only thing I didn’t like about it. Have a lot of creek bank to trim and wondered if this “offset” or swing might be worthwhile?

    • @BertsCustomCuts
      @BertsCustomCuts  Місяць тому

      I got it for that reason so I can trim around stuff and not hit the handle.

    I have a hard time starting mine. Can anyone show where the spark plug is situated in this machine, manual is useless. Many thanks.

    • @BertsCustomCuts
      @BertsCustomCuts  Місяць тому

      You could look up the motor that is on it to get the location of the spark plug. I would guess it's on the front mabey under plastic cover. Hard starting could be from a dirty air filter or fuel issue. I run ethanol free fuel in all my small engine stuff.

    is it worth the money on buying the self propelled model?

    • @BertsCustomCuts
      @BertsCustomCuts  Місяць тому

      I didn't get self-propelled because it pushes really easy. Mabey worth it if you're on hills with it all the time.
