    The other simple modification, is figure out the clearance at TDC and remove base gasket. Should it stay over about 0.020 thousands without the gasket. . I have one clone original edition 372 i did it to, plus a replacement 52mm piston. One serious low end power band. . Basically i was trying to create an obsolete gen 1 372 xpw that had a 51.4mm piston, thats no longer available worldwide. Its pretty close to the same performance.

    I hate these things with a passion. They make more noise than jet plane. And all these small engines put out more emissions than a car engine. Yet they don't ban them. Try using a rake. Make America skinny again.

    I love my Echo saws. I have owned every major brand in the last 40 years. I liked my Jonsereds but you hardly see them anymore. My favorite was a Shindaiwa which is now the larger Echo's. They run great and are very dependable. Unfortunately, our dealer recently closed. That little saw cuts very well.

    Hi Bert: Do you change the grinding profile for different chains? There are a lot of people that just use one standard profile and they use that on all there chains.

    • @BertsCustomCuts
      @BertsCustomCuts 4 дні тому

      I use the same profile and set up for all my chains except the .404 chain for the processor. We did try it on there, but it was too aggressive, so we sharpen them with a dremel on the processor.

    Having the opportunity to confirm my own grinder angles vs your setup was greatly appreciated. Thank You! I did figure out I needed to add about .005" to my raker height .025-.30" from what I would typically run in hardwood vs a conventional grind or hand filed chain .030-.035 on a 592XP, I have not tried this grind on a smaller saw as of yet.

    Great camera angles and close ups on the sharpening process. Is dressing your sharpening wheel parallel to the rail when angled over how you get the more square profile on your chainsaw teeth?

    • @BertsCustomCuts

    Bert you need a diamonds 💎 wheel . do a lot better job on the chainsaw tooth . Them stone that come with electric grinder is junk I just be told by peoples who sharpen chain for living. The same with hand 🤚 file get what you buy for working with NO name knock ✊ off stuff Bert . Remember a good 👍 sharpening stone probably cost 💲 more them the grinder . Same if you we’re running 🏃‍♂️ a bandsaw mill for blades and a good 👍 sharpening tool make beautiful timber for sure . 😊 you should have a contract keeping Chris chainsaw chains sharpen for him. 😊 take care
